DZ Deathrays

170 Russell

It’s the depths of winter in Melbourne and tonights show falls into the cancelled/rescheduled category, but both of these circumstances do not perturb punters from venturing into the dark surrounds of 170 Russell.

Kicking off the night are These New South Whales, who are part band & part comedy central TV show, who warm up the growing crowd & devoted fans.

Following next is rapper, producer, singer & MC, Brisbane’s Nerve, proving his versatility and talent is legit, backed only by an energetic drummer & DJ.

With their Positive Rising: Part 2 album out into the wild, DZ Deathrays take the stage at high volume, tearing through a number of their recent & past tunes, Ocean Exploder, crowd favourite – Total Meltdown, IN-TO-IT & All Or Nothing.

This is a band that are all about the live energy, don’t get me wrong, their records are exceptional, but the simple three piece line-up of two guitars & drums doesn’t leave anyone feeling like they have missed out.

Well worth the effort to catch these guys when you can.
