My name is Eddie, I make music under the name Lontalius. Lontalius is a project i started in my early teens, recording casio keyboard covers of pop songs in my bedroom. It expanded over the years, releasing my first album in 2016, which someone said reminded them “simultaneously of Drake – and Nick Drake.” My second album is out in October, recorded in LA with producer Om’Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu).
I’ll generally take what I can get with riders. Any food or drink given to me still feels like a christmas present to me, but what would I do if I could ask for anything?
1. Your favourite candy as a child
I have a very big sweet tooth. It is insatiable. But if I’m somewhere I’ve never been before, or just the other side of the world, I don’t need to be eating m&ms. What are peoples favourite candies in Belgium? Kansas? Adelaide? I need to know.
2. Sparkling water
This is a very boring request but I consider it essential. Sparkling water is water made better. Sparkling water on ice, it’s better than any drink.
3. Dogs?
Please bring some dogs. They can leave before the noise starts. I just can’t think of something that’d brighten my day more on tour.
4. A cheesy postcard or souvenir from the city’s most famous landmark.
I love these things. The more ‘made in microsoft word’ vibe the better. There’s something about postcards, like they’ve been using the same designs for 30 years. It’s fantastic
5. M&Ms
Honestly forget what I said earlier, I love m&ms and if I’m having a bad day they’ll always bring me joy.
