Bold, blistering and bursting at the seams, ‘Love and Drugs’ from Brisbane’s Hey Baby! is high octane party punk at its finest.

The first glimpse of their forthcoming second EP, ‘Love and Drugs’ is full throttle from the get-go. Gritty guitar riffs and fierce drums crash without hesitation, a reminder that this was made for the mosh. Previously compared to the likes of Dune Rats and Skegss, their fast paced surf punk ferocity is matched with an array of infectious melodies and singalong lyrics which show-off the band’s playful and tongue-in-cheek energy brilliantly.

“Sharing memories and substances. Sharing come ups and comedowns. Sharing beauty and inelegance. It’s a whirlwind of a song that attempts to capture the intensity and unpredictability of ‘Love and Drugs’,” singer Kacper Majchrowski explains.

Making waves both as avid surfers, and as a band, Hey Baby! have been carving a name for themselves since the release of their debut single ‘1800-WEED’,  seeing spins on triple j and triple j Unearthed alongside praise on the likes of Pilerats, Happy Mag and Hysteria Magazine. Going on to support genre heavyweights like Press Club, Totty, Dear Seattle and Crocodylus, the band have also performed at Brisbane tastemaker festivals such as The Mountain Goat Valley Crawl and Halloween Hysteria.

With plenty of new music around the corner, open up that mosh pit, and dive on into Hey Baby!’s exciting new single.
