It’s fierce. It’s bold. It’s a vibe. Newcastle’s main squeeze THIS THAT is back. Now in its fourth year, this staple on the national festival calendar delivers with 16 of the hottest artists from home and abroad, plus a whole lot more. This day-long-kick-on at Wickham Park is a an impressive affair of the senses. All of them.

But first, the lineup.

Last week THIS THAT announced the return of LA trap, grime and bass lord RL Grime (USA) with the festival the first chance Australians will get to hear his thumping new material in a live setting.

Joining RL, Sticky Fingers arrive freshly warmed up from a sold out world tour and bring with them a suite of new tunes. Crowd favourites SAFIA return to the THIS THAT stage after a hugely successful performance at the festival in 2016. The hip-hop don’t stop with smooth operator GoldLink (USA) and rhyme-spitter Illy set to bring Newy to its knees. Fallon favourite, and Aussie export sensation Amy Shark brings her band and incredible live show to showcase songs from her upcoming Love Monster album and The Rubens have a new album too. They’ll be sporting fresh cuts like ‘Never Ever’ and ‘Million Man’. Expect a singalong sesh of epic proportions… warms up vocal cords

Singalongs not your thing? Cutting filthy shapes more your style? THIS THAT goes deep once again, bringing beat makers LUUDE and Godlands in to heat things up and bass heavyweight Herobust (USA) out to melt eardrums. Party starters Boo Seeka, Ninajirachi, Thandi Phoenix, Just a Gent and Samsaruh conclude the festival’s most diverse and exciting lineup since its inception.

Going hungry? Sorry honey, it’s not an option at THIS THAT. And the festival makes absolutely no apologies for best of the best gourmet food trucks from across the State, craft beer concoctions, eloquent cocktails and the finest small batch wines. THIS STAGE and THAT STAGE make a return, with additional artists to be announced for mystical pop up enclave THE OTHER very soon.

Living it up isn’t for everyone but it is if you’re all that. ALL THAT VIP tickets are up for grabs again this year with an even larger viewing area right beside the main stage. Exclusive seating, toilets, gourmet eateries and pampering come with the price tag.
