Off the back of their steamy set at Splendour in the Grass, Melbourne’s finest purveyors of emotive club anthems, ALTA, circle back with another poignant, beautiful and candid jam in ‘Figured Out’, premiered via FBi. Fragile vocals play front and centre as the band twist and pull at the heart strings in to the thunderous backdrop of a skewed house instrumental. The song builds a narrative of loss with hope, making it very clear that it is ok to cry in the club.

A song about breaking away from someone you thought you could “fix”, their world becoming so intertwined with your own that you start living their reality. ‘Figured Out’ is about breaking constraints you never knew were there until you let them go. Vulnerability, realization, walking away.

After a huge 2017 which saw the pair release two singles in ‘Fix It’ and ‘Sentiment’, share stages with ABRA, Wiki and Kilter, and play a series of high intensity sets including Sugar Mountain, Let Them Eat Cake, and their own headline national tour, ALTA hit the ground running in 2018 supporting Eden, and Jungle on sold out Australian tours, and releasing the glossy synth hit ‘Now You Want Me’.

‘Figured Out’ reinforces the stride ALTA are hitting, as they lean into what will be a big 18 months for an emerging duo who continue to deliver sure-fire hits to the heart with their 4/4 infusion of signature take-it-or-leave-it attitude, driving house rhythms, rapid fire lyricism and silken vocals. The track is accompanied by the below stunning clip which premiered via Apple Music.
