AHEAD OF MASSIVE 15-DATE NATIONAL CLUB CARMADA TOUR

 

Sydney’s own collaboration from the stars, Carmada – aka Drew Carmody (L D R U) and Max Armata (Yahtzel) today add to their catalogue of staggering successes a remix package to their latest dance release “Ready For It” feat. tribes, ahead of their hugely anticipated national club tour – Club Carmada. The artists on the four-track collection each take control of the united duo’s colossal offering to salute its glorious foundations along with a taste of their own personal signature.

Hailing from Coventry, England arrives garage electronic expert Holy Goof to kick off the adrenaline spiked lineup. Opening with a heart-pounding pace, the producer lightly plays with a skipping beat beneath the track, before exploding into a hard-hitting house sequence, and signing off with a personal touch of bass-driven exuberance. Stepping in is Czech Republic Rido, whose blissful mix soon drops into an alluring exhibition of complex house sounds interjected by chill out moments for a catch of breath.

As premiered via Life Without Andy, Canberra native blanke follows by spinning an ear-catching staggered beat before taking control of offerings from the track with jaw-dropping force and stomping basslines. Curating a fitting finish to the formidable lineup is Seattle-based dubstep king MUST DIE!, dropping an explosive mix bursting with classic heart-pounding bass. A haunting opening to the remix soon dives into outrageous territory complete with the producer’s signature low end sounds to wrap the energetic collection.

The remix EP celebrates Carmada’s triumphant original track “Ready For It” feat. tribes., a four minute release perfectly marrying the enchanting vocal prowess of tribes., with Carmody and Armata’s signature twisting bass hits and fiery production. The undeniable dance hit now boasts over one million streams following a triple j Good Nights premiere.

The remix package arrives amid raving responses to the debut of the duo’s new live show, Carmada by LDRU and Yahtzel at Splendour in the Grass last month. With acclaimed musical director Joel Farlandat the helm, festival-goers were treated to a whirlwind lineup showcasing the best of the artists’ three products over an hour and forty-five minutes. The monumental performance featured the Australian debut of Yahtzel’s own live show recently toured across the US with ODESZA, before LDRU fired into a slew of infectious new music with guest vocalists including G Flip, Kira Puru and Xavier Dunn. The boys emerged together as Carmada setting fire to the stage with a brand new live show, band and integrated productions their fans love best, capped off with more guest appearances from the likes of Boi andMammals.

Next month, Drew and Max will head out on the road, kicking off their Club Carmada tour in the nation’s capital on September 14 with a performance at Canberra’s Mr Wolf, before journeying west toPerth’s The Court on September 15 and back again to Brisbane’s The Met on September 21. A return to Byron Bay for a night at the Brewery on September 22 will precede a trip to Darwin’s One Tropical Day on September 29, before the boys pull off same day performances at Sydney’s iconic Ivy Courtyard and the south coast’s Moruya Hotel on September 30. 

Reaching the halfway point of the tour, Carmada will move on to The Goods Shed in Hobart on October 6, before lighting up stages at the Sunshine Coast’s The Helm on October 11Coffs Hotel in Coffs Harbour on October 12 and Proud Mary’s at the Central Coast on October 13. The boys will then head to Newcastle destination The Cambridge Hotel on October 14, before what is sure to be a fiery show in Armata’s hometown Wollongong at UOW Garden on October 18, a dance frenzy at Mackay’s Cartelon October 19, and a final set from Adelaide’s Fat Controller on October 20.

With a brand new selection of explosive remixes for one of their loudest tracks to date, alongside the sonic powerhouse project returning in DJ form this spring, Carmada remain a force to be reckoned with in Australia’s forward-thinking dance scene in 2018.
