Prepare that discerning palette and dust off those dancing thongs. The first food, brews and music lineup is here in all its glory for Gold Coast’s premier beer and cider event, Crafted Beer & Cider Festival – plus the chance to win beer for a year.

Returning to Broadbeach for a second year, this day-long feast for the senses takes over Kurrawa Park in a daze of deliciousness on Saturday October 6. It’s the perfect day out featuring 35 breweries (including eight new ones), 150+ brews, the best eats and the latest beats all in a neatly sized, exclusive 18+ outdoor precinct.

Welcoming back a swathe of Gold Coast and Tamborine locals, Crafted Festival is the best spot to try every homegrown drop in one place. Neighbourhood favourites Balter Brewing Company, Beard and Brau Farmhouse Brewery, Black Hops Brewing, Burleigh Brewing Co and Lost Palms Brewing Co. will be setting up on the ocean-side greens. Coming across borders are 12 interstate beer-istas from NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. There’s even a brewery – New Belgium – hopping over from the USA! It’s not all about the beer though. A number of dedicated cideries are making the trek including Childers based Cheeky Tiki Apple Cider and Granite Belt Cider Co. from Warwick.

Good beer needs good beer-food. Right? The hardest part will be the decision of what to wash that tasting paddle down with. Punters can chomp their way through a huge selection of the best food trucks and gourmet treats from arancini balls to low and slow barbeque, pulled pork tacos and even delicious donuts for dessert.

And who could forget the vibe makers. If last year’s dance floor is any indication, festival organisers deliver again with some of the best emerging talent around. Canberra’s Young Monks lead the charge and are set to dub it up into the early evening. Afternoon vibes come courtesy of electric lady and Gold Coast local San Mei but not before Sydney’s experimental punk-pop quartet RACKETT take it up a notch. And kicking off the celebrations is Brisbane electro-pop energizer Inigo.

In 2018, Crafted Festival has leveled up. Bringing in a brand new beer related activity, Beer Yoga. Proving downward dogs and sun salutations are way more fun with a brew nearby this twist on an old favourite will have everyone saying ‘Namaste and have another drink.’ The full timetable for activities on the day including a few more surprises will be announced very soon.

Early Bird tickets are on sale now and organisers have partnered with six breweries from the Gold Coast region including Balter Brewing Company, Black Hops Brewing, Burleigh Brewing Co, Beard and Brau Farmhouse Brewery, Stone & Wood Brewing Co and Lost Palms Brewing Co. to give away beer for a year* to a lucky winner who buys one of the first 500 festival tickets. With a record number of pre-sale sign ups and the allure of potentially the greatest beer prize to hit Queensland since…. ever, lovers of a good brew are encouraged to get in quick. These tickets won’t last.
