Kingswood and a bunch of their very talented friends are inviting you to join them as they countdown the
hottest 100 tracks of the year with triple j, before counting up the fat stacks as they raise much needed
funds for bushfire relief with epic DJ sets, raffles, auctions and games with huge prizes to round out the
night.
As Australia encounters its most severe bushfire season to date the scale of devastation is becoming
evident. During this incredibly difficult time, we have been fortunate enough to witness people’s immense
compassion, giving back whatever they can to help those in need. Once again, we ask you to dig deep to
help support the incredible organisations assisting people in re-building their lives and helping the
environment recover.
“Inspired by so many others in our industry, we thought that triple j’s hottest 100, an event in which so
many Australians band together to celebrate music, was the perfect opportunity in which we could raise
some seriously needed funds” explains event organiser Fergus Linacre.
The Saint Hotel will play host to the triple j Hottest 100 countdown party, after which some of your
favourite Australian artists will bring their DJ skills to the table. With all proceeds from raffles, auctions and
games being donated we want everyone to get involved in the fun. In a talent line-up of spectacular
proportions Bad//Dreems, British India, Ecca Vandal, Gen Fricker, Hayley Mary, Johnny Took (DMA’s),
Kingswood, Kira Puru, Mimi, Northeast Party House and Slum Sociable will have you dancing like you
never have before to make it rain dollar bills.
All proceeds from the night will be donated between the Red Cross Australia’s Disaster Relief & Recovery
Fund, The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal Disaster Resilience and Recovery Fund and Greening Australia to
focus our contribution towards helping communities, people and the environment rebuild now and prosper
in the long term” says Linacre.
“The ease in which this event came together is testament to how I think we are feeling as a country, we all
want to help in any way we can. Finding a venue, suppliers, prizes and donations for the auction, as well as
getting the line-up together was seamless and I’m so grateful to all those involved.
I encourage everyone to get down to the event, bring some extra cash, celebrate the hottest 100 and kick
on into the night with DJ sets from some amazing artists, some that I’m sure will be on a high after making
the countdown themselves. Let’s make the day one to remember and raise some fat stacks to help those
who need it! ”
