Australia’s highest selling independent artist of all time, John Butler is rounding out 12 massive months, celebrating the #1 success of his album ‘HOME’ with four solo shows and a handful of festival appearances this November and December. He will then complete his victory lap with a huge party with fans as he returns to the Mainstage at Bluesfest in April next year, to wrap up his biggest year on record.

Having unveiled his eagerly anticipated record HOME on September 28, the Western Australian artist’s seventh studio album was met with rave reviews before debuting at #1 on the ARIA Charts helping to take John’s combined Australian album sales toover 1.8 million, a fitting accolade for one of Australia’s most respected artists, whose latest record explored new sonic territory with expanded instrumentation and experimentation with different genres whilst still retaining the core of the John Butler sound.

The success of HOME was swiftly followed by a 15-date “Coming Home” tour of Australia, which saw John team up with Missy Higgins and Stella Donnelly, selling out shows at outdoor arenas around the country, including two sold out performances at the iconic Sydney Opera House Forecourt, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, the Riverstage in Brisbane, Perth Kings Park, Canberra’s Stage 88 and Margaret River’s Leeuwin Estate to name but a few.

Determined not to slow down, 2018 also saw John Butler release his own podcast series before embarking on an extensive tour across Europe which saw the John Butler Trio + perform at festivals in UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech Republic, France, Germany and Italy. Sell out shows across North America – including headlining for the fifth time at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver – helped round out an enormous year on the road prior to finally coming HOME!
