TROPICAL STRENGTH RETURN WITH TWO NEW SONGS ‘INTRODUCING THE SILVERBEATS’ & ‘JUDY’

Tropical Strength are back with ‘Introducing The Silverbeats’ and ‘Judy’, the first two tracks from their forthcoming second album that follows the 2018 release ‘Zutti’. ‘Introducing the Silverbeats” is an official invitation to meet the enigmatic “Silverbeats”, the live band who play on the upcoming record. While ‘Judy’ is a blissed out walk through the fairground, lyrically touching on many of the themes that echo throughout the album. On these new tracks Tropical Strength sought to capture the unique and spontaneous dynamic of the live band, who have been playing together since Zutti was released. The band features Paul Mclean (Drums), Luke Player (Guitar), Jay Bird (Bass) and Molly Lasker (Percussion) alongside Tropical Strength founders Alastair Webster (Vocals/Guitar) and Russell Webster(Keyboard).Combining live takes recorded on reel to reel tape by Jay, with the Webster bros production flourishes, the new material channels the spirit of 60s pop but blends it with more modern studio experiments. Al’s song writing and lyricism has matured and become much more personal. Memories, confessions and fleeting revelations are all woven together into songs. The effect is something of a warped house of mirrors, each revealing fragments of Al Foil’s inner world and the characters who live there. The double single release marks the beginning of a busy year for the band with live shows to be announced soon and the full length to arrive in the winter.Watch the clip to ‘Introducing The Silverbeats’ here:
