April Sun is an outdoor music series taking place at the St Kilda Triangle, a space being transformed into a live music venue at one of Australia’s most iconic foreshore locations.

The series running from April 15 to May 2 will see 11 days and nights of live and diverse music genres.

Tonights show was a real treat.  Opening up in the very cool Antarctic evening air was Bob Evans (Kevin Mitchell) in solo mode.

Having just released his new album ‘Tomorrowland’, the punters were fortunate enough to hear a bunch of new tunes mixed with some older staples.

Playing for the first time in two years and with Ash Naylor (Even, Paul Kelly, Rockwiz) debuting on guitar The Church, fronted by original member Steve Kilbey, didn’t disappoint.

With a solid rhythm section and Ian Haug on guitar (Powderfinger) The Church serenaded the dedicated crowd with twelve tunes, including the debut performance of ‘No Other You’ which hopefully will be released on an upcoming album.

The set included the classic hits ‘Metropolis’, ‘The Unguarded Moment’ and ‘Under The Milky Way’.
