Following on from the release of their 2017 EP which featured exalted single ‘Love Your Man’ Donnrumma have well and truly departed from their previous roots sound. The Adelaide trio come out swinging with the supercharged indie single ‘Alien’.
Top 5 Indie Bands right now according to Donnarumma.
As a muso, there’s definitely a lot of love towards acts that have a well crafted sound, lyrics and amazing songwriting skills. Wolf Alice is one of them. Initially it took some of my time to really like their music but when I caught them front row at Laneway, oh boy was I in love.
ANOTHER act that I fell in love with at Laneway. (Geez I do fall in love too quickly hey). Dream Wife are super cool with loads of sass, attitude and fun upbeat songs. Literally, my dream to be one of their husbands.
Ball Park Music
I’ve always dug what Ball Park Music do, especially being a fan of their first album ‘Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs’. But their latest album ‘Good Mood’ proves to me that they can do no wrong.
St Vincent’s been around for a while but finding her randomly with suggestions on Spotify, something about her drew me straight away. Maybe it’s because she’s a guitar god that we need right now. Maybe because she’s stunning. Maybe because she can wirte banger after banger. Maybe it’s all of the above.
Nothing But Thieves
If you’re taking some Jeff Buckley influences in your music, my ears prick up. Nothing But Thieves are a great band and and can’t wait to watch them live one day. They’re heading back to Australia soon so I might have do a little road trip BECAUSE DAMN.
Catch the guys on tour near you.
