Captives are one of triple j Unearthed’s NIDA competition winners! They are the recipients of a filmclip made by and directed by one of NIDA’s best and brightest up and coming filmmakers! triple j Unearthed have teamed 8 artists from around the country up with NIDA’s best student directors to produce and develop a free music video for Captives (and a handful of other amazing Australian talents!) that will be premiered on Rage later this year.

Add to that, Captives’ new album tour starts on May 4 – and they have already sold out their secret show in Tasmania – and their Melbourne show is selling like hot cakes.

Captives’ new album “Over The Rainbow” dropped on Friday, 30th March 2018. Friday May 4th sees the band at The Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne, Saturday May 5th at the Exeter Hotel Beer Garden in Adelaide, Friday May 11 at Waywards in Sydney, Saturday May 12 at The Bearded Lady in Brisbane, Friday May 25 at The Brisbane Hotel in Hobart and Saturday May 26 will be a Secret House Party somewhere in Tasmania! Tickets are on sale from Friday March 23 and all ticket details are at captives.com.au.

Captives have enjoyed rotation play on triple j and triple j unearthed (they were one of the top 50 most played artists on triple j unearthed in 2014!), some love on Triple M and an interview and spins on Triple M Modern Digital, and have supported the likes of Cog, The Damned, Pulled Apart By Horses, Grenadiers, Born Lion and Shihad, as well as toured their own hectic, raucous shows and tours.
