ALT.SIGN TO RESIST RECORDSAND RELEASE NEW SINGLE & VIDEO WRAITH
Emerging from a turbulent few years armed with rejuvenated focus and ferocity, Adelaide rockers Alt. are closing out 2022 on a huge note, announcing today their signing to Resist Records for Australia, and SharpTone Records for the rest of the world, and releasing a brand new single WRAITH.First emerging onto the scene back in 2019, Alt.‘s increasingly signature brand of sharp light and shade, combining the sonic palettes of Bring Me The Horizon, Billie Eilish, Post Malone and Don Broco, is on fierce and fiery display on their latest release, with WRAITH also accompanied by a savagely gripping music video.
Following the release of their 2020 EP dysfunctional, with critics praising the band’s versatility, instrumentation, energy and sparkling production, 2022 finds Alt. more in command than ever before of their bold and infectious sonic stylings; and WRAITH offers the perfect christening to accompany the band’s brand new homes with Resist Records and SharpTone Records.“We’re extremely excited and honoured to have signed with Resist and Sharptone,” shares Alt. vocalist Dan Richards of the band’s recent signing. “Graham Nixon at Resist is a true legend in the Australian music scene, his passion, knowledge & work ethic is amazing and really inspires us to give the band everything we have. Then you have SharpTone, such a fresh and exciting label who have really breathed new life into the alternative music world in recent times with such a diverse roster of both emerging and established artists. They’re great people, and we deeply respect the attention they have given Australian bands too. We really do have the perfect team we were hoping for, and we’re grateful to be working with so many like-minded people who all want to make something special.”Since turning heads immediately via their debut single insubordinate back in 2019, Alt. have gone on to cement their status as rising heavyweights, with 2022 alone finding the trio accompanying Northlane in June for the group’s national Australian tour alongside Plini and Sleep Token, and joining Aussie icons Karnivool, Cog and sleepmakeswaves for an unforgettable evening at Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide back in August.Alongside their ever-growing fanbase, over 2 milion Spotify streams, new music and joining Resist Records and SharpTone Records, things are only just heating up for this exciting new Alt. chapter. Fans can catch Alt. live in action this Saturday 19 November for Froth & Fury Fest in Port Adelaide, alongside Alestorm, Void Of Vision, King Parrot, Clowns and many others, and watch this space for even more Alt. goodness in the not-too-distant future.
