New Kids Song – ‘A Little Recycling Adventure’Featuring the East Coast Inspirational SingersCelebrating those who see the possibilities in our waste!

Benny Time is helping children understand the bigger picture around garbage and recycling with the release of his new song ‘A Little Recycling Adventure’, featuring the East Coast Inspirational Singers.

It’s timely given the November 1 banning of single-use plastics in Benny Time’s home state of NSW and serves as a reminder of the role of recycling.

Setting out to teach children to celebrate those in our community whose jobs don’t get the credit they deserve, ‘A Little Recycling Adventure’ is however less about recycling and more about our garbage collectors.

Benny said, “This song is to celebrate those that looked at our waste and saw possibilities. Saw ways to change things, took pride in their work and loved what they did. Shed a light on the ones that often drive round in the dark. I wanted initially to make an album that celebrated those in our community that were often overlooked. People that had important jobs and contributions that perhaps didn’t always get the credit they deserve.”

‘A Little Recycling Adventure’ is taken from Benny Time’s new album ‘Benny and Friends’, released in May, and nominated for an ARIA Award for ‘Best Children’s Album’.

In addition, Benny Time (Benny Thatcher) is busy with his pivotal role in the inaugural Major Minor Music Awards. Affectionately known as The Ma’s, the event will be held on November 12 at the Monkey Baa Theatre in Darling Harbour.

The Ma’s has attracted some big name partners including ABC, APRA and Australian Children’s Music Foundation and will be hosted by Benny and Justine Clarke, alongside performances by various artists.
