After being signed to management under Sam Dainty and Paul Dainty AO, AM, Charly quickly caught the attention of Jonathan Daniel, founder of CRUSH MUSIC (whose roster includes global icons Miley Cyrus and Lorde). Daniel introduced Charly to acclaimed Los Angeles producer Xandy Barry, who, alongside long-time friend and collaborator Jordie Tomas, helped bring Charly’s vision to life.
Released under AWAL, “Against The Odds” explores the power of friendship and community amid darkness and injustice. It’s a song that chooses humanity and love — again and again — even when the world feels stacked against us.
The single is accompanied by a striking music video directed by emerging creative Charlotte White, supported by a crew made up of Charly’s close friends and collaborators, embodying the spirit of togetherness that defines the project.
With a mission to make young people feel less alone and more alike, Charly Oakley stands at the forefront of a new wave of heartfelt Australian pop — bold, open-hearted, and unmistakably their own.
