One of Australia’s most exciting and enigmatic extreme metal outfits, Deadspace, have released Culminating Chaos the first track from their upcoming full length
The Dark Enlightenment.
Culminating Chaos comes off the back of the 2023 EP, Unveiling the Palest Truth, which was the bands first new music in three years.
Culminating Chaos demonstrates the bombastic monstrosity, that was hinted at on the EP. Furious as it is, the track also showcases the bands obscure and avant-garde output, presenting jarring riffs and haunting dissonant passages.

Vocalist Chris Gebauer pushes both his lower vocal range and production skills as the entire album is completely engineered and mixed by himself in his home studio Oblivion Studio.
Culminating Chaos is the first glimpse into the punchy production of the record, featuring the destructive drumming of Herb Bennetts, unique guitar approach by Thomas Major and newest addition Aiden Vestgaard, and distorted bass slaughterhouse of Dez Sogutluoglu.
Culminating Chaos furthers Deadspace’ new musical, lyrical and philosophical trajectory into the realm of masterful and unrelenting chaos, taking another step away from the melodic depressive elements of past eras, re-asserting their place amongst heavy and experimental black metal hard-hitters.
The Dark Enlightenment will be released soon
**********
With a substantial near decade long career behind them, Deadspace tow the line between black metal and the avant-garde. Drawing influence from both musical and philosophical abstract thinkers, the band exists in a unique vacuum that transcends the boundaries of coherency. Embracing dissonant pandemonium, Deadspace deliver an onslaught which is both raw and texturally rich.
With an extensive and ever-evolving musical catalogue, Deadspace have graced the global live arena with grand velocity. Notably, touring Australia with Satyricon (NOR), Japan with Marduk (SWE), Merrimack (FR), Abigail Williams (USA), Fleshgod Apocalypse (IT), and Shining (SWE). In 2019 DEADSPACE embarked on a 3-week European tour spanning over 10 countries with Psychonout 4 (GE), Vanhelga (SWE), Eyelesssight (IT), Lebenssucht (GER/BEL), and Afraid of Destiny (IT).
Deadspace first emerged into the global spotlight with their debut record “The Promise of Oblivion” (2015) as a depressive black metal entity, and have since evolved into their own unique brand of apocalyptic and filthy chaos.
