Off the back of this new single ‘Midnight’ Chase has also just announced the release of her enigmatic EP Disco Runway which showcases Chase as one of the pop innovators among the Australian music scene. Combining Chase’s strong passion for disco-pop, character styling, fashion and nightlife, this explosive 5-track EP is bound to have people sweating at disco parties, finding the courage to let go of what no longer serves them and completely embracing the people and places that make them feel like they are Miss Universe.

The song has an immediate vibe that calls back to vintage 90’s disco influences like Dee-Lite and Gwen Steafani, with a modern Dua Lipa pop twist. The track opens with a filtered drum and bass intro with Chase’ vocals up front and center. Clean guitars bring the track into fruition as Chase delivers the first catchy moment of many to come. The understated drums and bass really give this song a vintage edge with a new modern pop tip filled with anthemic keys and funky guitars.

Speaking on the track Chase says “Midnight is a love song to clubbing. It speaks to that feeling of thinking it’s midnight and then checking your phone to realise it’s actually 4am and the night has somehow completely gotten away from you because you’ve been having such a good time. Ordering long island iced teas, asking the DJ to play Lady Gaga, making flirty eye contact across the room, meeting new friends and connecting instantly, sweating and singing and dancing and everything in between. It’s an ode to the perfect night out. It’s like ‘don’t bother telling me what the time is because I don’t care, I’m not leaving’.

Recent singles ‘Supernova’ and ‘Jealous’ as well as a newly imagined live show teaming with dancers and drag queens saw Chase Zera blasting into 2022 with live performances at NYE In the Park and on the main stage of Mardi Gras’ Fair Day festival. Her exciting stage presence coupled with her impressive Tik Tok presence also gave her the opportunity to perform as a dancer on the TikTok Mardi Gras parade float alongside Wafia and fellow creators from the Australia LGBTQIA+ community and just last week, performing an iconic live set at POOF DOOF in Sydney. On Saturday 27th August, Chase Zera will be bringing her emphatic live show to Ivanhoe Hotel, Manly supporting Touch Sensitive alongside Little Fritter. And this December, Chase will also be performing at Sun Sets alongside headliners Bag Raiders and Set Mo.
