Frontier Touring are thrilled to welcome Californian rock band Starcrawler back to Australia to perform shows in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as a Splendour In The Grass set. Their first live shows in Australia since January 2020, the band will bring their glammed up, punk ‘n’ roll to Sydney venue Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 20 July, followed by Melbourne’s The Espy on Saturday 23 July.

Frontier Members Pre-sale kicks off 11:00am AEDT Wednesday 9 February before the General Public On-sale 12noon AEDT Thursday 10 February. Tickets via: frontiertouring.com/starcrawler

“We’re really looking forward to coming back to Australia and are really excited to play alongside a bunch of other rad artists. We love it out there so much and can’t wait to play for our fans!!” said Starcrawler lead singer Arrow de Wilde.

This will also be the group’s first time performing a headline tour in Australia with hits from their sophomore album Devour You (2019), 2021’s ‘Goodtime Girl’ taken from the Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack and more.

Devour You peaked at #14 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart and at #49 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart. As a record, Devour You dynamically captures the essence and aggression of the band’s gloriously unhinged live shows, whilst simultaneously revealing their rare ability to find a fragile beauty in even the greatest chaos.

Stylistically, the Devour You tracklist offers an enigmatic mix of musical genres, including alt-country in ‘No More Pennies’, a taste of doom-rock with ‘Bet My Brains’ and a hint of rock-and-roll disco on ‘You Dig Yours’.

‘A glittery L.A. interzone between Seventies riff-rockers like Cheap Trick and the rougher, ponderous melodies of Dinosaur Jr.’ – Rolling Stone

‘Los Angeles natives Starcrawler could just be the hottest young rock band on the planet’ – The Age / Sydney Morning Herald

‘The latest young band tipped to save rock’n’roll may not be messiahs, but they do make an enjoyably unholy racket’ – ★★★★ The Guardian

Our first taste of Starcrawler came in the form of singles ‘Ants’ and ‘Used To Know and quickly captured the attention and praise of legendary artists Shirley Manson and Elton John – a far cry from the Californian rocker’s humble beginnings of bashing out classic-punk covers in the garage. Starcrawler have previously opened for the likes of Foo Fighters, Spoon, The Distillers, MC5 and more recently toured with The Growlers as the support for their 12-leg Australian tour.

Born on the streets of Los Angeles, Starcrawler are a band of misfit rock & rollers for a new generation – for the freaks and weirdos in everyone. Led by lead singer Arrow de Wilde and her cathartic performances the band brings an unforgettable chaotic electricity to every concert.  Alongside her, guitarist Henri Cash plays the perfect foil to Arrow with an undeniable style and performance of his own, tearing at the guitar like few have before him. Alongside bassist Tim Franco, the band has the undeniable charisma and artistry to cut through the noise and pretenders – poised to explode into the mainstream.

Don’t miss your chance to experience one of Starcrawler’s live performances, tickets go on sale Thursday 10 February from 12noon AEDT via frontiertouring.com/starcrawler.
