AHEAD OF TOUR
NEW SINGLE “FREEDOM/FICTION” OUT FRIDAY OCTOBER 4
PLAYING SHOWS WITH ISOTOPES & DAYS OF DECEIT THROUGH OCTOBER

Adelaide’s metalcore outfit The Daily Chase are today announcing the release of their brand new single “Freedom/Fiction”, which will be launched on tour in October alongside Isotopes, Days Of Deceit and ATLVS! The single will see it’s release Friday October 4 on all digital platforms, having premiered on triple j’s The Racket on Tuesday night.

The Daily Chase took to the studio in early 2019 with Chris Lalic (Windwaker) to record “Freedom/Fiction”. The brand new single gave the band a chance to fuse together new sounds and a new direction that they had been experimenting with for some time beforehand. “Freedom/Fiction” takes a fresh new spin on the memorable riffs and vocals that they are known for, creating the foundation of excitement for whats still to come for The Daily Chase.

“Freedom/Fiction” portrays a message of false freedom. The single narrates the realisation that in a world dominated by technology able to deliver information straight to our fingertips whenever we want, we are never truly free. We live a false freedom controlled by those in charge behind the scenes. Vocalist for the band, Rory Cuthell, explains that “lyrically the song takes the listener on a journey. From living a life of being caught up in routine or being told you have to live a certain way to the revelation of coming to terms with living your own life before it’s too late.”

The new single can be heard for the first time on the road with friends in Isotopes, Days of Deceit and ATLVS on the Fractured/Soul Tour. The Daily Chase will be stepping up in hometown Port Pirie to play GES on October 4, Adelaide’s Jive on October 5, Franks in Wagga Wagga on October 25 and finally Melbourne’s Workers Club on October 26.

The Daily Chase began their journey in 2015 with the release of the aptly named debut EP ‘Foundations’. The EP reached #4 on the iTunes Metal Charts and opened the band up for support opportunities alongside Escape The Fate, Dream On Dreamer, Confession, Saviour and Feed Her To The Sharks to name a few.

The band followed up their first offering with the single “The Fear” in 2018. “The Fear” premiered through Killyourstereo, who praised the track with: “solid production, big vocals and even bigger Euro-metal guitar leads and catchy choruses, this new track from the homegrown Port Pirie boys is just a lot of fun”. The single initiated anticipation for their next move while the band hit the studio with Troy Brady to record their second EP ‘Feel Alive’ and celebrated the release with an Australian headline tour. With a whirlwind year behind them, the band finished 2018 on a high with a support slot with Deez Nuts, Reactions, DREGG and Valhalla. With another year of touring and a brand new single under their belt, The Daily Chase aren’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon.

“Freedom/Fiction” is out Friday October 4th and will be available at iTunes & Apple Music/Spotify/Google Play and all good online stores and streaming outlets. Ticket details for the Fractured/Soul Tour available at facebook.com/thedailychase.
