Peach PRC

The Forum

To celebrate the release of her latest single ‘Secret’, Peach PRC is currently touring her very first headline shows, having featured on the festival circuit and most recently at the Australian Open concert series.

A sea of pink hair and fairy wings as Tick Tok sensation Peach PRC saunters confidently out onto the stage. She is all smiles, dressed head to toe in pastel pink, her signature pink hair in curls. Fans have really celebrated the idea of dressing in costumes, and the vibe is nothing but innocent fun.

Wasting no time, she opens the show with ‘Perfect for You’ she  gets straight into things with her infectiously cute smile and fantastic energy. As she follows up quickly with  “Blondes” and ‘Colourblind’, giggling at some of the cute signs fans have made to show their dedication to the singer.

Using vocal techniques such as double-tracking the bedroom pop star has an energy that simply radiates joy and she is a pleasure to watch. Naming herself after Princess Peach seems some what appropriate for the star, she is a combination of 90s joy and social media fame, harking back to an era where Gwen Stefani ruled the music scene.

Fans clearly adore her, and it’s easy to see why. The only real thing that slightly detracts from the show is the back up dancers are out of time, making their dancing lacking and not needed. Peach PRC is captivating enough without adding in a few superfluous dancers.

When young singers rise through the noise of social media it is always interesting to see how far they go- some will have a hit song, while others fade pretty quickly. Having a cute, infectious and memorable look should see Peach PRC ride the wave a little longer and it will be interesting to see where her career goes.

For a first time headlining tour, Peach PRC has done in the space of less than two years what others struggle to achieve over decades- and that is a strong supportive fan base, a cute fun vibe and catchy simple songs that are fun and joyous. It will be fun to watch the career of this exceptionally entertaining star grow.
