You don’t just see the drum kit as the focus instrument on stage anywhere do you? The drummer usually sits at the back of the band in the dark, keeping time, with the spotlight on the singer or lead guitarist. Vibrant new recording Melbourne-based artist and drummer Kat Greta seeks to change that convention.

Well firstly, I’d need a cloud room (thousands of pillows chucked into a room), where I can just leap on top of all the pillows and catch up on some sleep. Or if I’m not tired, I would just play around with them all like a ball pit.

Obviously I would need a giant slide to take me down to the cloud room to begin with. And a helicopter to propel me to the top of the slide.

Once i’ve woken up from my sleep I will need a coffee delivered to me by a hot topless waiter, who also has skills in massage and classical guitar playing.

I would request a genie in a bottle with unlimited wishes, and my first wish would probably be a bottle of champagne and some Haagen Dazs ice-cream. Then I would ask for a male choir from Vienna to come pay me a visit. Maybe the genie could make me a machine where I can push a button and have anyone come and visit me, dead or alive? And the machine could also make me any food or drink or drink on demand. That would be lovely, thanks very much 🙂
