Luude’s liberating ‘Big City Life’ with Mattafix is further brought to life today with the release of the official music video directed by Three Shades Creative. Breaking out with the global success of hit record ‘Down Under feat. Colin Hay’, Luude continues to make waves with ‘Big City Life’ now climbing the charts worldwide. The video follows three interwoven stories, all portraying the many colourful characters that make up the metropolis in view. Images of youthful naivety are juxtaposed against those of endless and binding familial connection, capturing the very essence of a constantly buzzing city and melting pot of culture. In muted hues reminiscent of the original Mattafix cut, expertly crafted clips and freezes keep pace with the rousing nature of Luude’s precision percussion, all the while maintaining the intimacy and rawness found beneath the veil of the cityscape. Three Shades Creative bring a wealth of experience to the fore, having fashioned unique and inspired visuals for the likes of Yussef Dayes, Josh Barry and Bastille, as well as branded content for companies such as Levis and YouTube Music.

Luude shares that he is “so happy with how this video turned out, it perfectly captures lots of different sides of what living in a big city can be like and that’s what I’ve always thought of with this record.

Three Shades Creative comment on the inspiration behind the video, “As well as being born and bred Londoners and self confessed city kids we also pulled on our own experiences living abroad together in different cities. Diversity and culture has been an integral part of our lives growing up and the grit of city living has definitely become an influential part of our creative outlook. We loved the track and felt an instant connection with its energy and tried to match that in the video; the inner city’s hustle and bustle, the constantly changing dynamic between friends and families, as well as the many different characters within the melting pot of a modern city.”

Luude aka Chrisitan Benson, is no stranger to success as he has risen through the ranks of electronic music with dynamic releases and raucous sets that have garnered the support of both fans and the industry alike. ‘Big City Life’ has seen Luude continue on his trajectory of global domination as he has garnered immense support across the industry and around the globe. Opening to a huge reception with a triple j First Play and addition to the station, as well as featuring as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, he has rapidly reaffirmed his position at the forefront of electronic music. Pulling in a mammoth amount of radio support in Australia, New Zealand and beyond in just a few weeks since release, the track has skyrocketed up the Shazam charts to #1 in New Zealand, #7 Australia, #12 Belgium and #15 United Kingdom. Luude broke out to critical acclaim over the last 12 months with the success of his drum n bass rework of the quintessential 80s anthem, ‘Down Under feat. Colin Hay’. With now over 150 million streams across platforms, multiple playlist covers, Platinum certification in Australia and New Zealand, Gold certification in the UK and top-five placement in Shazam charts in New Zealand (#1), Germany (#1), United Kingdom (#4), and Australia (#4), it’s safe to say thatLuude had a phenomenon on his hands. The track quickly rose to #1 in the New Zealand Top 40 Singles Chart, before going top ten in the ARIA Singles and top 5 in the UK Singles charts, with the track also hitting #1 in the AIR Independent Singles Chart making it the hottest independent record in Australia. Not limited to being a local affair, the Aussie-centric tune quickly and emphatically gained traction internationally, being made BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills’ Track of the Week and Dance Anthem’s Hottest Record before being playlisted by the station among many others.

Prior to ‘Down Under’, Luude had already carved out an impressive career to date, establishing himself as a name capable of providing the dancefloor heat and garnering over 30 million streams across tracks such as ‘Right Now’, ‘Sink or Swim’, and ‘Paradise’. Upon signing to Sweat It Out, Luudedelved extensively into the world of drum & bass which lead to the release of his ‘6AM’ EP which received an influx of support from the likes of triple j, Pilerats, Life Without Andy, This Song Is Sick, and Run The Trap. Proving his versatility Luude also makes up one half of respected electronic duo Choomba, who have been endorsed by tastemakers such as The Magician, Claude Von Stroke, Richie Hawtin, Claptone, and Riva Starr. On the touring side, the Gold-Coast based artist has quickly taken hold of the local club circuit, becoming an in-demand name across Australia. Off the back of his recent global success, Luude has toured Australia with shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney and has recently completed a  New Zealand tour with shows in Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown and Ohakune. Of course, in continuing his global domination he is currently on a massive tour of Europe and UK with performances at Electric Love, Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Creamfields, Leeds Festival, Reading Festival, & Bass Paradise, just to name a few.
