After twelve months of experimentation, honing their sound, Forster’s Galleri are back and better than ever with their luminous new single ‘Seasons’, premiered yesterday via Sungenre.

Warm and vivid storytelling, paired with a joyous vibrance and infectious musical tone, ‘Seasons’ is a mesmerising leap into Galleri’s exciting new musical chapter. A combination of folk, indie rock and blues, the track builds from its stripped back intro into the lively electronic chorus, driven by pearling guitar riffs, and brothers John and Jimmy Moore’s earthy melodies. Even throwing in a funk inspired breakdown at the tail end, the newly five-piece lineup float between genres with ease.

“’Seasons’ is about coming to a place in life where you can recognise the default patterns we fall into; maturing enough maybe to see the need for change in our coping mechanisms; even if we’re unable to do so at the time,” singer John Moore explains.

Releasing their debut EP Wake The Dog in 2012, the band have managed to build upon their tight-knit fanbase, sharing the stage with the likes of Ngaiire, Lime Cordiale, Barons of Tang, Crooked Fiddle Band and Perch Creek, and making their mark at Groovin the Moo, Nimbin Roots, Gumball and Grow Your Own Forster.

Just a taste of what’s to come from Forster’s finest, no doubt Galleri will be cheering up crowds for many ‘Seasons’ to come!
