Following her sold out Australian debut in 2023, London indie folk artist Sophie May is returning down under in November 2024. Making waves across social media in recent months for her candid songwriting, both new and long-time fans will have the chance to see Sophie perform live across the country.

Known for tracks such as “Lover Boy”, “No More Birthdays” and “Worst Thoughts In The World”, Sophie May will be heading to the Lansdowne Hotel inSydney on 23 November and Howler in Melbourne on 24 November.

In addition to her headline shows, Sophie will be joining UK songwriting maestro Matt Maltese on his highly anticipated return to Australia this November. They’ll be playing to a sold out crowd in Sydney at the Metro Theatre before heading up The Rechabite in Perth, Northcote Theatre in Melbourne and Brisbane’s Princess Theatre.

Sophie May has built a dedicated online following with her captivating melodies and intimate lyricism, sharing her struggles with intrusive thoughts and OCD. Capturing the attention of stars like Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter on social media, Sophie May has accumulated over 200k followers and 6.4M likes on TikTok with her deeply personal posts.

This tour announcement comes off the back of Sophie’s latest EP Deep Sea Creatures, produced by Matt Maltese and The Japanese House’s Chloe Kraemer. Across her three EP’s, Sophie May has received support from the likes of The Sunday Times, NME, triple j and BBC Radio and accumulated 500k monthly listeners on Spotify with over 30M combined streams.

Currently touring across the UK and Europe supporting Searows, Sophie May has played sold out headline shows across the globe. She has supported artists such as Inhaler, Ocean Alley and Sarah Kingsley and has made appearances at world-renowned festivals including Latitude, Pitchfork, Reeperbahn and Australia’s very own Groovin the Moo.
