THE JENSENS
RELEASE ‘COMA’ VIDEO
STARRING SAHARA BECK

Only a week after the release of the ripper track ‘Coma’, The Jensens have outdone themselves with an absolutely fascinating visual accompaniment which reflects wholly the conceptual and artistic identity of the band. Edited by Nic Fornaisier, the video is a psychedelic trip that enchants the viewer with an euphoric story presented before them.

A beautiful direction by Jennifer Leonforte, the video gathers Brisbane creatives, including friend of the band and musician Sahara Beck to drive the narrative and solidify the powerful messaging of the song. The band explains, “It’s a visual representation of a breakthrough from mental instability, bad habits and writers block.” We’ve all been there.

The video finds three characters “stuck in their own mundane or painful cycle, unable to move forward either due to procrastination or an inability to see the correct path” or in a ‘Coma’, so to speak. In a turn of events, the three protagonists transcends into a world of bright light and heightened emotion launching them out of routine for a brief moment, hurling them back, not to the mundane world they once knew but a kaleidoscope wonderland, a new dimension, a lysergic paradise. The result of breaking through that mental halt.

A video supporting the first track of their brand spanking new EP set to launch in early 2019, fans can catch the launch party to the band’s resurgence of a single next Saturday, at Brisbane’s Crowbar. Having supported the likes of The Vaccines, Last Dinosaurs, Spiderbait, Twin Peaks, Saskwatch, Art of Sleeping and The Delta Riggs, goers can be sure it’ll be one hell of a show.
