Hailing from Perth, self-taught talents Tina Says and PROJECT BEXX link up and elevate to a whole new level with dance floor damager ‘Run This Town’ out now via Tinted Records. Flexing their production prowess they deliver a serving of total boss-bitch energy, driven by layers of hard-hitting, pulsating synthesisers and a thick bassline groove. Powerful and dreamy all at the same time, PROJECT BEXX shows she’s got the chops with sparkling vocal inflections sure to give you goosebumps. A collaborative force that proves they’re not ones to mess with, Tina Says and PROJECT BEXX are coming for you.

Tina Says speaks to how well they worked together, “BEXX and I were paired up by Labsix and quickly bonded over an experience that had negatively affected our mental health. I wanted to explore my collaborative side which ended up being really easy with BEXX. Having similar sound palettes and style, we both reached a great flow state although we had many different versions of the track. This final idea is a great representation of our story, that experiences only shape you and truly do make you stronger.

PROJECT BEXX adds, “When Tina and I were introduced it was an instant YES, and we shared the exact same vibes about production and music in general. It was really refreshing and inspiring for me to work with such a boss bitch in the electronic industry, and I’m really proud of what we have made. Lots of back and forth over different tracks and production from both sides because we were both looking for something that made us super excited until we settled on what I feel is a seriously huge summer anthem.

Tina Says is no stranger to the dancefloor, with dynamic house music releases that have caught the ongoing attention of triple j, earning her a position as an Unearthed Feature Artist in 2020, and more recently appearing in an interview with Choomba on their new show The Nudge. The evolution and refinement in her production has delivered her signature big bass lines that have driven her inevitable rise within the industry, receiving accolades from online tastemakers like Pilerats, Purple Sneakers, Stoney Roads and Earmilk. As one of Perth’s most in demand DJ’s, her lively and uplifting sets have earned her support slots for the legendary Fatboy Slim, and for Australian icon of electronic music, Fisher, for his upcoming national Beach Party Tour. Tina Says has proved she knows how to work a crowd, playing alongside other local heavyweights such as ShockOne, What So Not, SLUMBERJACK. The sky’s the limit for Tina Says, moving up the ranks of the Australian electronic music scene with no signs of pumping the breaks.

Over the last two years PROJECT BEXX, electronic producer, DJ and performance artist, has quickly become a household name in Perth. With her latest single ‘Thicc’ being praised for its commanding energy by Zan Rowe and Declan Byrne of triple j fame. Her insane energy on stage has seen her supporting the likes of Peking Duk, What So Not, The Presets, Tame Impala, and Cosmo’s Midnight, to name a few. Planting herself firmly in the electronic dance community with the inception of her live band and original production PROJECT BEXX delivers a captivating performance and showcases her magnetic stage presence every show.
