Let classic-rock nostalgia shine with Tobias Wonderdog’s first follow up single, ‘The Sun’ -out now

In October 2018, under this new moniker for the singer-songwriter Mat Weaven, Tobias Wonderdog released a number that was dynamically rich and emotionally stirring, bursting with that Australian country, light-hearted disposition.

Now, Weaven intends on shining a light on the heavier side to his music with the ‘The Sun’.

Meandering through the likes of 90’s classic-rock with a touch of country inspiration, ‘The Sun’, is a steady, laid-back track all the while maintaining a gritty and gutsy tone with classic-rock riffs and a wailing wah-pedal guitar solo.

Coated with effects over his vocals throughout the verses to elaborate the message, Weaven delves into the ever-pressing worries that build from day to day.

Being his politically outspoken self, he states, “it’s about the hopeless feeling one gets as the evil empire inches closer to our existence.”

Letting the music do the talking, ‘The Sun’ seamlessly flows from dark verses to the uplifting choruses, through an epic solo to a heartfelt, slow-burning bridge before closing out on the tracks gutsy rock-riff.

For his first follow-up release since his debut, Weaven has come through with powerful, passionate and emotionally stirring rock-track.
