Peach PRC kicks off her ‘Wandering Spirit Tour’ at the Palace Foreshore with a special show to give fans a sneak peek of her brand-new album performed live before its official release.
Rising Australian artist SALTY opens the evening with a confident set that balances moody electronic textures with emotionally direct lyricism. Her songs carry a shimmering alt-pop atmosphere that suits the seaside setting, gradually drawing early arrivals closer to the stage. She proves a compelling introduction to the night with a sound that’s the perfect mix of atmospheric bedroom pop and punchy synth-driven hooks.
International support Maude Latour brings an effervescent stage presence instantly elevating the crowd’s energy. Dancing across the stage and encouraging singalongs, Latour delivers a colourful set of euphoric indie-pop that has the audience fully warmed up in no time shining with sparkly, heartfelt and unapologetically joyful vibes.
The atmosphere shifts into a theatrical and mysterious display as the backdrop fills with glowing portals and magical fairy woodland visuals, drawing the audience into Peach PRC’s pastel-coloured fantasy world. Dancers emerge first, opening the show during the “West Intro”, before Peach appears to begin a mesmerising pole dance routine.
The first big moment comes with the debut of ‘Oasis’, a brand-new song performed live for the very first time. The crowd responds enthusiastically to the shimmering pop track, aware they are hearing something completely new. That excitement carries straight into the fan favourite ‘Celebrity Crush’, with fans shouting every lyric back at the stage.
‘Perfect For You’ and ‘I Wouldn’t Mind’ follows, establishing the emotional range that defines Peach’s songwriting. Her ability to jump between cheeky humour and vulnerable storytelling is on full display, while the fantasy visuals behind her keep the stage glowing in soft pinks and purple colours.
The “North Transition” section takes us further into her world full of spectacle and surprise. Dancers return for another pole performance as Peach launches into the bold and theatrical ‘Miss Erotica’, as she gets down to the stage floor for a sexy dance routine swinging her legs up in the air effortlessly to the electronic pulsing club beat.
“Who’s thirsty?” she asks with a grin, prompting cheers before launching into ‘Forever Drunk’. The song’s chaotic energy perfectly matches the crowd’s enthusiasm, with fans jumping and singing along under the cold night sky.
Next comes a particularly meaningful moment as Peach introduces a reimagined version of ‘God Is A Freak’. “I want to do it different in a way that I would release it now because it means something different to me now,” she explains before performing the alternate version. The new arrangement feels more reflective, transforming the once-defiant anthem into something softer and more contemplative.
The show’s most experimental moment arrives during the “East Transition”. Sitting inside a giant lotus flower prop, Peach connects electrodes to a snake plant placed beside her. “It will be pretty random, like I won’t know what it’s gonna play, and it’ll be different every time,” she explains.
Using the plant’s natural electrical signals to generate sound frequencies, she performs ‘Eucalyptus’, creating a haunting, unpredictable sonic landscape. The result is both strange and captivating that’s part performance art, part pop experiment and it’s works out perfectly.
From there the night moves into its most emotional territory. ‘Loved You Before’ creates a hushed, intimate moment as Peach sings with deep sincerity. The cold coastal wind soon becomes increasingly noticeable by this point, something the singer addresses with characteristic honesty.
“I’m freezing,” she laughs, gesturing to her tiny pink booty shorts. She apologises for any vocal slips caused by the cold, though in reality she holds the performance together impressively despite the elements.
Another brand-new track, ‘Pink’, is next with a playful introduction. “This will explain a lot about me,” she jokes before launching into the bubbly ode to her favourite colour and the many ways it shapes her world. The song feels like a perfect summary of Peach’s aesthetic that’s bright, self-aware and proudly whimsical.
‘Out Loud’ and ‘Back To You’ follow before Peach unveils yet another new song, ‘Hold It For Her’, during the “South Transition”. By this stage the crowd has fully embraced the mix of new material and beloved favourites.
For the encore, Peach returns with ‘Shirley Barber’, a heartfelt tribute to the late Australian children’s author and illustrator whose magical books clearly inspire much of Peach’s own fantasy-driven visual world. It’s a tender and nostalgic moment that ties beautifully into the night’s enchanted forest imagery.
The show closes with a high-energy medley of ‘Blondes’, ‘Josh’ and ‘Like A Girl’, bringing the dancers back for a final explosion of choreography and glittering pop chaos.
For a tour opener performed outdoors on an unexpectedly cold Melbourne night, Peach PRC delivered a remarkably ambitious and imaginative show. Between the whimsical visuals, experimental stage moments and the thrill of hearing an almost entire unreleased album live, the ‘Wandering Spirit Tour’ was anything but any typical pop concert and more like stepping through a magical portal into Peach’s colourful imagination.
