with Special Guests Dan Sultan & Mia Wray

December 6, 2024

Missy Higgins performed her Second Act Tour, with one of her last shows being at the Melbourne Sidney Myer Music Bowl, where she was supported by Mia Wray and Dan Sultan.

Higgins dawned on stag in a beautiful khaki green pant suit with tassels, singing tracks mainly off of her latest album ‘ The Second Act” opening with “Song for Sammy”, going into “The Broken Ones” and “Don’t Make me Love You”.

There was brief pause and moment for story telling filling the bowl with infectious laughter, then on stage comes beside Higgins, her Sister and Brother appear who all sang Crowded House’s “Better be Home Soon”, rounding out the set with Blue Velvet Dress, “A Complicated Truth” and “Craters”

After a brief intermission and after a audio recording playing back the voice of a young Higgins, talking about her siblings and friends putting her up to triple J, the full band came on stage in matching white outfits to play through the entirety of ” The Sound of White” as it is celebrating 20 years since it’s release.

We sent Jacinta Keefe to capture the show.
