The atmosphere in Rod Laver arena is absolutely electric, as fans eagerly await the arrival of Jason Derulo. The DJ pumps up the crowd from behind the decks and the arena is one big dance floor.
Smiling faces, beam out into the sky as the crowd is hyped, and there is an abundance of joy.
As smoke pours out onto the stage, Jason emerges dressed in black, ready to take the energy into the stratosphere.
Opening with “ Sexy For Me” he gets down to business, surrounded by a sea of sexy dancers in tight clad clothing. The most beautiful women dance around him, and the party gets started.
Taking no breaks he gets right into things, and the audience are lapping it up- the overtly sexual dance moves and the provocative lyrics, paired in with the occasional pyro makes this show a high energy extravaganza.
Derulo is a master at entertaining the audience- and whether or not you know just one song or the whole catalog, he knows how to have the audience in the palm of his hand.
Not stopping at all, he moves through his set list rapidly as dancers gyrate around him. When the opening bars of “ Whatcha Say” begin the crowd absolutely loses their collective minds.
Derulo has the audience in the palm of his hand, and judging by his cheeky grin he knows it- and he is at home on stage.
The show is absolutely flawless, the production is tight, the set design and lighting is superb. A lot of thought has gone into the production, and it pays off with polished performances from the entire crew.
As the show wraps up, a birthday cake is presented to Derulo, and his entire crew join the audience in singing ‘ Happy Birthday’ to Jason as a cake bearing his likeness is presented to him.
Jason Derulo sure knows how to put on one hell of a fantastic show, polished, perfect and entertaining.
