MY DREAM RIDER BY BEN MASTERS FROM TAPESTRY
My name is Ben Masters and I play drums in Tapestry.
I am purely getting to that age now where everything’s starting to hurt and playing drums. It hurts sometimes when you’re playing really hard.
If I need to zone out for a bit, do my own thing.
If I have to be specific, it would be Stone & Wood on tap would be what I would enjoy the most.
If we we’re going crazy with it, and I’ve got the room for it, anactual full drum kit just to practice on, just to warm up.
I need to eat before playing. So if I could just have a bowl of ramen, that’s incredible. Every single day, I would be probably the best drummer in the world at that point.
A little studio set up so I can write music when I’m on the fly and I don’t have to worry about bringing my own stuff. That is really painful. That would be great.
A backstage gym setup purely for the boys. I know Tom and Luke really like to do that stuff.
Tom has this thing that he uses to warm up his vocal cords, but if we could put that in a room so he can just walk into the roomand it just hydrates all of his vocals. Like a sauna but it’s distilled water, so it’s not super-hot.
Dogs, cats, honestly, whatever animal wants to come hang. Needs to be kind of down with a bit of a cuddle. Yeah, I’m into that. So we’ve got pet zone. What else can we do?
I feel like I’m searching for water when I’m at shows.
