PHIL JAMIESON’S ’10CHARLIE’ IS OUT TODAY

There’s a bittersweet feeling surrounding the release of Phil Jamieson’s highly anticipated sophomore solo album, 10CHARLIE, out today.

Arriving as Phil begins a very different kind of tour break, 10CHARLIE lands just days after an on-stage accident forced him to cancel the remainder of his mammoth 2026 PJ AIR Tour. After slipping during a show and striking his spine on the drum riser, Phil was hospitalised and diagnosed with a fractured L1 vertebra, putting him firmly on bed rest and a long road to recovery.

While fans won’t get to celebrate the album with Phil in person for now, the record itself is very much ready for take-off.

Following his 2022 solo debut Somebody Else, 10CHARLIE finds the Grinspoon frontman stretching further into his solo world, blending crunchy guitars, big melodies, pop sensibilities and deeply personal storytelling across nine tracks.

Recent singles Weekends, Blue As The Sunlight and Reading Keats In Byron Bay have offered a taste of the journey, with the latter arriving as a particularly poignant moment beneath its sunny, infectious exterior. Written during a deeply turbulent period, the album ultimately became something of a musical balm for Phil — a collection of songs about change, loss, restlessness, acceptance and simply trying to navigate whatever comes next.

The album’s title references an aisle seat on a 737, and that sense of movement carries throughout 10CHARLIE — from the rollicking opener Get It through to the meditative The Soft Return.

With contributions from Sophie Ozard, Davey Lane, Rob Muinos and Ben Edgar, and production from Oscar Dawson, 10CHARLIE is Phil at his most open, adventurous and unmistakably himself.

Sadly, the planned PJ AIR Tour celebrations are now on hold, with all remaining shows cancelled while Phil recovers. Venues and ticketing agencies are contacting ticket holders regarding refunds.

For now, though, Phil has one simple request: give the album a spin.

As he put it following the accident: “Lots of work went into it and I love it.”

And honestly, that feels like the perfect reason to wrap your earholes around 10CHARLIE today.
