THE RASMUS
Teams With Theory Of A Deadman’s Tyler Connolly
For New Version Of “Creatures Of Chaos”

”Tyler [Connolly] is an amazing singer and he added a new dimension to the song,” says frontman Lauri Ylönen. “This song is one of our best from the new album and it’s so cool that it gets some spotlight now.”

Tyler Connolly shares: “I got asked to guest sing on this Rasmus song and once I heard it, I was like, ‘Heck Yeah’!  Loved the track and love the band! Really enjoyed the back-and-forth verses between us, and it truly rocks! Now I got to get myself to Finland!!!”

Lauri explains that “Creatures of Chaos” is a “global shout out and an invitation to all misfits and anyone out there who’s ever felt like an outsider to join us! It was one of the first songs, and that’s kind of how the album title came about.  It’s also about accepting people as they are, which in this world is getting much harder for people to do. For me, it’s more personal: I sing like I could have been a soldier, but I’m afraid of guns. I could have been this or that, but I wasn’t strong enough to be those. My job is to do this. And I’m singing to one fan in the front row, giving her or him strength to carry on. It’s another kind of hero.”

Creatures of Chaos” is “also about the pressure of social media,” elaborates Lauri. “People feel like by 25 they need to have money, investments, be somebody. A lot of people are scared of growing up. I’ve always gained strength from being the underdog, and I love that. It keeps me going.”

ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY EP
TAYLOR MOMSEN’S PRETTY RECKLESS CHRISTMAS
AND RELEASE A REIMAGINED VERSION OF
WHERE ARE YOU CHRISTMAS
FROM HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

Record-breaking rock powerhouse The Pretty Reckless are ushering in the holiday season with a special surprise for fans both old and new. The chart-topping band, fronted by Taylor Momsen, have released an electrifying, reimagined version of Where Are You Christmas, the beloved holiday classic Momsen first performed as Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 film How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The track will appear on their upcoming holiday EP, Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas, set for release on October 31st digitally, and November 14th physically, via Fearless Records.

Momsen on the release: “Revisiting “Where Are You Christmas” 25 years later feels like coming home to a part of myself I hadn’t seen in a long time. I was just a child when I first sang it, and I never could’ve imagined the way the song, and the film, would stay with people for so long and unknowingly shape my career path as an adult. Recording it now, with all the life I’ve lived in between, I hear it through a different lens.. but the heart of it is the same. It’s about wonder, hope, and holding on to the magic – something I think we all need more than ever.”

Stream Where Are You Christmas here and watch the visualizer here:
This marks the first time Momsen has revisited the song since The Grinch’s release 25 years ago, taking the heartwarming generational ballad and turning it into a rock anthem. Celebrating the film’s 25th anniversary, the performance serves as both a tribute to the classic and a bold reimagining for a new generation. With her strong vocals and signature edge, Momsen breathes new life into the timeless track, bridging the gap between her early Hollywood beginnings and the unapologetic artistry that has defined The Pretty Reckless’ sound.

Alongside the new version of Where Are You Christmas, Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas will feature four additional original holiday songs, all wrapped in their trademark sound. The EP showcases The Pretty Reckless at their most dynamic, proving that even Christmas music can be rock ‘n’ roll.

Since their debut, The Pretty Reckless have established themselves as one of rock’s most fearless and successful acts. Now, with Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas, they deliver a gift to longtime listeners and newcomers alike, a holiday project that celebrates breaking tradition.

BAD NERVES + DEAD POET SOCIETY
CO-HEADLINE

TUESDAY 2 DECEMBER – CROWBAR, SYDNEY
WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER – MAX WATTS, MELBOURNE
MONDAY 8 DECEMBER – THE TRIFFID, BRISBANE

Powerpop rock n roll band from Essex BAD NERVES and Los Angeles rock band DEAD POETS SOCIETY are set to tour Australia for the first time.
The bastard child of a Ramones/Strokes one night stand, BAD NERVES play ferociously fast distorted pop songs. Their self-made debut put them in the hearts and minds of the cream of the alternative crop; from UK tastemakers such as Dan P Carter to Alyx Holcombe, to rock legends such as Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard. Drawing comparisons to Supergrass, the Ramones and Jay Reatard, they proactively seek to make the type of in-your-face, opposite-of-sterile, rock music that the genre was built on. Their second album, Still Nervous, was released in May this year.

Los Angeles quartet Dead Poet Society were tipped by The New York Post’s Page Six as a band to know released their second album FISSION. The American rock band formed while attending Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in 2013. Starting as an indie group, self-producing and self-recording their songs, including two acclaimed EPs. In 2016 their music was discovered by the influential Mexican YouTube Channel Pepe Problemas. Their US break came in 2018, when Spotify editorial staff added the single “American Blood” to their playlists, after the band had built a strong organic following on social media and the streaming platforms before resulting in interest from several labels including Spinefarm, where they later signed and released their debut album -!- in 2021. The band has gone on to become headliners in their own right, selling out 1000 + venues and playing the main stages of the biggest festivals around the world and just completed an extensive North American tour supporting Chevelle and Asking Alexandria.

COBRA STARSHIP

TUESDAY 2 DECEMBER – NORTHCOTE THEATRE, MELBOURNE
WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER – LIBERTY HALL, SYDNEY

COBRA STARSHIP burst through the zeitgeist with Bring It (Snakes on a Plane), the cheeky anthem to the 2006 horror/actioner Snakes on a Plane and the lead single from the band’s debut, While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets. With 2007’s -produced ¡Viva La Cobra!, they further solidified their pop-savvy credentials and chart success followed. Buoyed by the Top 40 hit and clubby single Good Girls Gone Bad with Gossip Girl star, 2009’s Hot Mess, making it’s way on the album charts.

They kept the party going in 2011 with the release of their fourth full-length, Night Shades with the album featuring top 10 hit You Make Me Feel... feat. Sabi which soared onto the Billboard chart with hundreds of million streams before disbanding.

The New York City rockers broke up in 2015 and returned in 2021 with unreleased tracks. COBRA STARSHIP will bring back the hallowed glory of the MySpace Top 8, as Gabe Saporta & Co strut through dancefloor anthems.

DAYSEEKER
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS BANKS ARCADE
+ MONTGOMERY (MELB) * HEADWRECK (BRIS)

WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER – CORNER HOTEL, MELBOURNE
TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER – CROWBAR, BRISBANE

Formed in Southern California and forged in adversity, DAYSEEKER evolved from post-hardcore upstarts into one of the most emotionally resonant and stylistically agile bands in heavy music today. Their songs don’t just process grief, heartbreak, and trauma — they transform them into something magnetic, powerful, and ultimately empowering. Since 2012, this spirit has defined the band, which prioritizes emotional truth over trends, connecting through authentic passion, sonic innovation, and lyrical vulnerability. 2019’s Sleeptalk marked a creative turning point — a dreamy, immersive reintroduction that saw the band doubling down on melody, atmosphere, and introspection. That shift continued with 2022’s Dark Sun, a devastatingly personal album shaped by the death of Rodriguez’s father. The profound resonance of the band’s music with fellow outsiders worldwide is evident in their 600 million+ streams. And it’s palpable at every show, from sold-out headlining runs in theaters to tours with Pierce The Veil, Bad Omens, and Ice Nine Kills. Their sixth album Creature In the Black Night is due on October 24 featuring singles Pale Moonlight, Creatures In The Black Night, Shapeshifter and Bloodlust.

DAYSEEKER return to Australia after their completely sold out Australian debut headline tour in 2024. They will be supported by Melbourne heavy metal boy band BANKS ARCADE for both shows, dreamscape, alternative synth-pop artist MONTGOMERY in Melbourne and nu-metal quartet HEADWRECK in Brisbane.

GWAR

SUNDAY 30 NOVEMBER – CROWBAR, BRISBANE
TUESDAY 2 DECEMBER – FACTORY THEATRE, SYDNEY
THURSDAY 4 DECEMBER – MAX WATTS, MELBOURNE

The story of GWAR is carved across the history of this hopeless planet, but GWAR themselves are not of this world…Their story begins far past Uranus, in the deepest reaches of space, where the beings known as GWAR were warriors in the Scumdogs of the Universe, an elite fighting force in the army of the Master of All Reality. But GWARproved too reckless and powerful, and after a series of tragic but hilarious blunders, they were banished to the furthest reaches of the galaxy, with orders to conquer an insignificant backwater prehistoric mudball known as the planet Earth. Once here, GWAR, the original Ancient Aliens, shaped the face of the globe, wiping out the dinosaurs, and mating with apes to create the human race. Having accidentally given rise to all human history, the Master of All Reality froze them in Antarctic ice where they could do no more harm. It was there they were discovered by a shady entrepreneur known as Sleazy P Martini, who sat the band down in front of professional wrestling, late-night horror movies, heavy metal music, and a steady diet of crack cocaine until GWAR became the cultural force they are today.
KNOCKED LOOSE
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS HIGH VIS

TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER – LIBERTY HALL, SYDNEY
WEDNESDAY 10 DECEMBER – NORTHCOTE THEATRE, MELBOURNE

With a coveted late-night talk show performance and Grammy nomination under their collective belt, punters will finally get to see Kentucky juggernaut KNOCKED LOOSE in devastating final form.

There’s no ceiling for hardcore in 2024 — even an outfit as uncompromising as Knocked Loose can turn up in mainstream-adjacent spaces and win over new fans such as 2023’s viral Coachella and Bonnaroo sets. But there’s a center to what they do that will never change: uncompromising heaviness, both sonically and thematically. What is evolving is their drive to find new ways to convey that heaviness, and add tasteful variety that only highlights their undiminished ferocity.

On latest album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, KNOCKED LOOSE have honed in on a diverse, cohesive and savagely aggressive album that sums up the massive strides they’ve taken during their decade as a band, and asserts their boundless potential going forward.

As one of heavy music’s most uncompromisingly aggressive acts, this is destined to be an unmissable set with special guests English progressive hardcore HIGH VIS.

Since 2018, HIGH VIS. has polished their sound with shades of post-punk, Brit pop, neo-psychedelia, and even Madchester groove, mapping a middle ground between hooks and fury, melodies and mosh pits. In 2019, they released their debut album No Sense No Feeling and celebrated with 2022’s follow up, Blending. From swaggering street punk to jangling indie sneer to heavy alt to shoegazey spoken word, the group’s chemistry transmutes any style to their unique intensity.

LORNA SHORE
W/ DISENTOMB + GRAVEMIND

WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER – 170 RUSSELL, MELBOURNE

After selling out their first-ever Australian headline tour in just 10 days earlier this year, New Jersey quintet LORNA SHORE return to raise hell once more in support of their fifth album—the declarative I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me.

While 2022’s Pain Remains LP set the bar for deathcore extremity through the inhuman utterings of frontman Will Ramos, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me showcase the group folding in anthemic stadium-worthy hooks among their pitch black brand of sonic chaos.

The quintet have hit the viral Spotify charts, racked up hundreds of millions of streams, embarked on highly successful tours and in the process, galvanized a significant fanbase that hangs onto the band’s quest for stylistic inversion. But by virtue of physical onslaught and wanting to divine truth from their music, LORNA SHORE have kept themselves fired up by torching the metal rulebook at every turn, practically demanding that other genres step up their game.

They will be supported by Brisbane’s death metal band DISENTOMB and Melbourne’s heavy metallersGRAVEMIND.

MACHINE HEAD

SATURDAY 29 NOVEMBER – METRO CITY, PERTH
MONDAY 1 DECEMBER – THE STATION, SUNSHINE COAST
WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER – UC REFECTORY, CANBERRA

Undisputed masters of murderous riffs, pugnacious grooves and ferocious hooks since 1991, MACHINE HEAD are long established as one of the most influential and incendiary bands in the metal world. Exploding into the world’s consciousness with 1994’s seminal Burn My Eyes album, the now legendary Oakland crew brutishly redefined what it meant to be heavy, incorporating a wild array of influences into some of the sharpest and most brutal metal anthems ever written.

A perennially vital force in heavy music, MACHINE HEADhave continued their exhilarating evolution, while never losing the furious spirit of their old school, underground roots. Impervious to trends and proud to stand alone: MACHINE HEAD is still the bulldozer that crushes all!

MACHINE HEAD‘s career-spanning set is sure to include pit-starters from landmark records like 1994’s Burn My Eyes,2007’s The Blackening, and much more.

NEW FOUND GLORY

WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER – THE GOV, ADELAIDE
THURSDAY 4 DECEMBER – PIER BANDROOM, FRANKSTON
TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER – THE STATION, SUNSHINE COAST

Floridian pop-punkers NEW FOUND GLORY don’t know how to stop. Fast approaching three decades as a unit, their influential style of hardcore-adjacent pop-punk can be found in the sonic DNA of countless groups across the world. Their highly anticipated sixth album Listen Up!, is set to be released in February 2026 and the band’s first full-length in nearly 6 years.

NEW FOUND GLORY were fast-tracked from local upstarts to mainstream stars on the back of ebullient pop melodies and hardcore-tinged breakdowns, setting off a blast of pop-punk dynamite that still lights the torch for modern acts more than two decades later. They became the voice of an underground movement, spurring iconic gold and platinum records (2000’s New Found Glory, 2002’s Sticks & Stones, and 2004’s Catalyst), countless MTV appearances, an entire subgenre (easycore) and sold-out tours the world over.

With 11 studio albums, one live album, one Christmas album, one acoustic album, two EPs, and four cover albums in the tank. NEW FOUND GLORY has always been about the same thing – honesty, community, and positivity. NEW FOUND GLORY’s ethos has never wavered; they always strive to be the friend you always need and always understands you.

REFUSED
FINAL AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE SHOW
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS DELIVERY + BABY MULLET

THURSDAY 4 DECEMBER – NORTHCOTE THEATRE, MELBOURNE

Swedish hardcore punk icons REFUSED revolutionized the genre and inspired legions of hardcore, alt-rock and metal bands to push the boundaries of their artistic expression and political awareness.

Formed in the early ‘90s in Umeå, a subarctic town in northern Sweden REFUSED began when David Sandström and Dennis Lyxzén came together in 1991.REFUSED emerged with explosive energy and intent and soon became not just a band but the nucleus of a youth movement—one that was radical, political, and loud enough to attract the attention of Swedish authorities.

Their 1998 album The Shape of Punk to Come was a genre-defying masterpiece that coincided with the band’s sudden implosion during a U.S. tour. The split was sealed with the infamous “Refused Are Fucking Dead” manifesto—part truth, part provocation, part decoy.

After reuniting in 2012 after an offer to reunite for Coachella Festival spurred the band back into action, releasing further albums Freedom (2015) and War Music (2019). They will be returning to Australia to celebrate their influential run by bidding farewell with the band’s final performances with special guests Melbourne’s garage-punk band DELIVERYand three-piece female fronted rock group BABY MULLET.

SCENE QUEEN

She’s not here to be quiet or apologize, with lyrics that directly challenge misogynists and genre purists.

SCENE QUEEN exploded onto the scene in 2022, going viral multiple times with hits like Pink Rover, Pink Panther, and Barbie & Ken, widely recognized for her signature “Bimbocore” sound. She’s as fierce as she is vibrant, packing angst into every punchy lyric.

In 2024, SCENE QUEEN opened for BABYMETAL on a sold-out US tour and toured Australia for her first headline tour. She’s continuing her momentum into 2025 with her own headline tour across the US and UK, and performed at the sold-out Warped Tour Festival.

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS LE SHIV

TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER – NORTHCOTE THEATRE, MELBOURNE

Formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma, THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS quickly became one of the most iconic pop-rock bands of the early 2000s and they return to Australia for the first time in 16 years! Over the years, they’ve become known for their ability to craft anthemic, emotionally charged songs that resonate with fans across generations.

Their debut self-titled album in 2002 introduced the world to their sound. The standout hit Swing, Swing catapulted them into the mainstream, then 2005 follow-up album, Move Along, cemented their place in modern rock history. With hits like Dirty Little Secret, Move Along, and It Ends Tonight, the album was a global success. The lead single, Gives You Hell, from their 2008 album, When the World Comes Down became one of their biggest hits.

THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS have maintained their place in pop-rock history and  remain a staple in the echelon of alternative and pop-rock. THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS continue to be a force in music, proving that their relevance and connection with fans are only getting stronger with time and are a soundtrack for an entire generation of fans navigating the ups and downs of adolescence and young adulthood with their catchy, heartfelt songs.

They’ll be joined with special guests 5-piece indie/alt/rock/psych-pop band LE SHIV.

WARGASM

TUESDAY 2 DECEMBER – THE BRIGHTSIDE, BRISBANE
WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER – THE UNDERGROUND, SYDNEY

What happens when you take a musically adroit wild London rocker and an Irish sonic insurgent with a platinum pixie cut (who moonlights as a high fashion model), toss in some synthesizers, crank up the distortion to infinity, and burn the rule book? Well, WARGASM happens. A collision of throat-slashing thrash guitars, apocalyptic dancefloor electronics, unnervingly catchy harmonies, and unapologetic sex appeal, the UK duo—Sam Matlock and Milkie Way. They’ve earned widespread acclaim from Kerrang!, Revolver, Upset, and more. They’ve tallied millions of streams without a proper album and quietly become one of the most thrilling acts on the planet.

Single Spit ripped a hole through streaming services with over 3.7 million Spotify streams. Buzz increased as they dropped Rage All Over, Salma Hayek, and Scratchcard Feeling. NME named them among “100 Acts to Watch in 2021.” Beyond gigs with Yungblud and Creeper, they left audiences stunned at Reading and Leeds Festival, Download Pilot Festival, and Bloodstock.

News: Gorotica Release Second Album, “Daily Grind of the Medieval Age”.

Gorotica Release Second Album, “Daily Grind of the Medieval Age”.

Australian deathgrind act Gorotica are morbidly thrilled to release their second full-length album, “Daily Grind of the Medieval Age”, in both digital and vinyl formats through BandCamp from October 3rd. After unleashing their bloodthirsty debut album “Morbid Menagerie” in 2022 and a slew of teaser singles earlier this year the new album continues both the musical and thematic intensity established by its predecessor.

Picking up where their debut record “Morbid Menagerie” left off, both musically and thematically, opening track “Dirge of the Breaking Wheel” features a prior melodic refrain and sets a sombre, reverent mood. This is quickly shattered by the churning riffs of  “A Helping Hand” which kick down the chamber door and usher in the album proper, setting the table for an eighteen-track-course meal of medieval cannibalistic deathgrind served over a thirty-five minute long feast of extreme metal carnage.

Gorotica invites the listener on a grotesquely entertaining tour of the Middle Ages, with a blend of grisly death metal and blistering hyperblasting grindcore as the main attraction. The record also sees a modest serving of hardcore and groove metal carving through the cacophony, with a litany of other unexpected musical moments appearing throughout the runtime.

A host of vile and darkly humorous lyrical content weaves tales of ghastly medieval torture, necrophilic perversions, clock-watching executioners and gory cannibalism throughout the compositions. These are vocalised by band leader Jon Von Cannibale in the form of guttural growls, manic shrieks, tortured howls and roars, with special guest vocalist A.J Foy adding his hardcore screams and sickening belches to a handful of tunes.

To coincide with the announcement of “Daily Grind of the Medieval Age”, Gorotica presents two new music video clips, with the latest clip for album release single “Connoisseurs of Human Flesh” available for viewing now. A fast-paced feeding frenzy of gluttony and gallows humour, “Connoisseurs” depicts frontman Von Cannibale’s decapitated head served as the main course in a medieval banquet that will be sure to stick in the viewers’ heads. This new video follows the previously released “Sage, Clove and Powdered Bone” clip, which showcased a mid-paced old school death number dealing with necrocannibalistic rituals, questionable recipes and shoddy sorcery.

Saddled with a sleek in-house production, monstrous guitars, memorable vocal lines and a sense of self-aware quirkiness, “Daily Grind of the Medieval Age” is sure to appeal to even the most seasoned death metal and grindcore veterans alike, leaving fans bound, broken and begging for more once again.

PETE MURRAY SHARES NEW ALBUM ‘LONGING’ , WITH FOCUS TRACK ‘HIGHER’ – OUT NOW + LONGING SUMMER TOUR ANNOUNCED FOR DEC/JAN

Decades into his career but more captivating than ever, Australia’s nicest guy in music, Pete Murray arrives today armed with one of his most nourishing releases yet, his eighth studio record, and first independent full length album in almost two decades, Longing (out now).  The album drops today, alongside album focus track Higher, and the announce of a 15 date Longing Summer tour set to hit coastal towns in December and January.

Kicking off at The Exchange in Newcastle on December 18, the tour will then move through regional NSW, QLD and VIC, before finishing up at Hotel Brunswick in Brunswick Heads (NSW) on February 13.  Tickets go on sale at 9am AEDT today, Friday October 10 from www.petemurray.com.

“I played a summer tour last year and it was one of the most fun tours I have done,” says Pete. “Everyone is on holidays and in such a great mood that it makes it so much fun to play to them. I can’t wait to do another summer run, but this time I’ll have a bunch of fresh new songs from my new album ‘Longing’ to throw into the mix. See you in the summer!”

Hyped to be sharing his new album, Pete beams, “Longing this is a very special album to me. It’s my second ever independent album. My first one came out in 2001, The Game. This one is special, as it’s taken 10 years to put together. It’s made up of the best songs that I hadn’t quite finished over time, I’d just kept putting them into an unfinished folder until I had enough to make it an album. And I feel it’s a really strong album because it’s 10 years worth of work and that’s a life lived. So, for me, it’s very special and I hope you guys enjoy it.”

Via its title track, Longing opens with a hazy gleam, weaving oscillating textures and swooning warmth, before Amy kicks in next with all of her captivating beauty. From here, Longing transfixes with a journey through blues-soaked summery charm (Place Your Bets), stripped-back gems primed to tug at the heartstrings (Home To Me), effortlessly upbeat moments perfectly crafted for crowd singalongs (Higher) and powerful lyricism balanced alongside tranquil tones (I Am Fire). And from swaggering fare (Long Way To Go) through to affable odes that feel simultaneously nostalgic and fresh (Wouldn’t It Be Good), Longing also dazzles with tranquil toe-tappers (Heaven Calls) and a buoyant closing track (Shakes) that straddles relatability and hope, like a glimmering warm light waving you in from a storm and welcoming you home.

Serving as the album’s powerful focus track, Higher is Pete Murray’s rousing call to push past limits and chase greatness. Written as an anthem for inner fire and determination, the song captures the raw energy of striving to be your best – whether on the field, in the classroom or in life. “This song isn’t just a track; it’s a battle cry,” Pete shares. “When you hear the chorus ‘Higher, Higher, Leave It All Behind’ – I want you to feel that surge of energy, that belief that nothing can hold you back.”

Undisputedly one of Australia’s most successful singer-songwriters, Pete Murray has amassed over 1.2 million album sales, hundreds of millions of streams, three ARIA chart-topping albums, and 17 ARIA Award nominations, while also continuously touring (having just last month completed a 56 date tour of Aus) and releasing new material for over 20 years. Emerging with his debut full length album The Game in 2001, Pete’s breakout sophomore album Feeler in 2003 cemented his status as one of the all-time greats. With ongoing hits and fan-favourites along the way, including Better Days, Feeler, Opportunity and So Beautiful, Pete’s stirring and enduring blend of positivity with acoustic, rock and folk elements has only amplified his revered reputation, including via his most recent full length album Camacho in 2017.

Longing is released today.

Tickets for Pete Murray’s Longing Summer tour are on sale today, October 10 from www.petemurray.com.

Emily Ulman releases stunning new album ‘Severe Clear’

Melbourne/Narrm singer-songwriter and music industry trailblazer Emily Ulman today unveils her long-awaited new album Severe Clear — a luminous, emotionally rich collection that marks her first full-length solo release in over a decade.

Out now, Severe Clear shimmers with warmth, introspection and a quiet optimism, blending folk, pop and acoustic textures with Emily’s signature lyrical depth. Across eleven beautifully crafted tracks, she explores the stillness that follows life’s storms – those moments of piercing clarity and renewal that give the album its name.

Featuring recent singles Every Hillside and Fans in the Stands, the album’s focus track ‘Planned Burn’ stands out as a gentle yet powerful ode to transformation — an anthem for letting go, healing, and starting anew. Produced by Bonnie Knight (Amyl and the Sniffers, Angie McMahon) and mastered by Simon Berckelman (Courtney Barnett, Passenger), the record is both intimate and cinematic, drawing inspiration from artists like Julia Jacklin, Adrienne Lenker and Bill Callahan.

Severe Clear is about change, and renewal,” Emily shares. “About being brave enough to step back into something you love, even after a long absence. It’s about clarity that is so beautiful it’s almost unbearable.

A respected force behind some of Australia’s most beloved festivals and venues — from Brunswick Music Festival to the award-winning Isol-Aid and ALWAYS LIVE — Emily’s creative influence runs deep. With Severe Clear, she turns the focus inward, delivering a body of work that’s honest, personal and utterly captivating.

Tilly Fenton releases debut EP ‘it’s a feeling that I know’ – out today

A new era of luminous indie-pop arrives today with Melbourne/Naarm artist Tilly Fenton unveiling her debut EP it’s a feeling that i know — a heartfelt and hook-filled coming-of-age collection that captures the emotional rollercoaster of growing up, falling in and out of love, and finding your voice along the way.

Across five tracks, Tilly wears her heart on her sleeve, pairing punchy guitar-driven anthems with vulnerable, reflective moments. The EP’s focus track, Your Plans, shimmers with self-assurance and emotional honesty, delivering a soaring pop moment that highlights Tilly’s knack for weaving relatable storytelling with infectious melody. It’s equal parts introspective and empowering — a snapshot of the bittersweet chaos that defines early adulthood.

Following the success of her previous singles The SecretValentine, and It’s You!, Tilly’s debut body of work showcases her evolution as both a songwriter and performer. Working alongside acclaimed producers Anna Laverty (Lady Gaga, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) and Michael Belsar, she’s crafted a sound that’s bright, confessional, and distinctly her own — nodding to influences like Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams and early Miley Cyrus while carving out her own space in Australia’s new wave of pop storytellers.

To celebrate the release, Tilly will take it’s a feeling that i know to the stage for two special headline launch shows — a matinee at The Leadbeater Hotel in Melbourne on Saturday October 25, followed by an evening show at The Loft in Sydney on Sunday October 26. Fans can expect an uplifting mix of high-energy pop moments and intimate acoustic reflections, as Tilly brings her songs to life in full technicolour.

With it’s a feeling that i know, Tilly Fenton cements herself as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging voices — honest, hopeful and completely herself.
