Emerging as one of the leading rap producers of the late 2010s, scoring major hits with Playboi Cartiās breakout hit Magnolia, 6ix9ineās Gummo and topping the album charts with Lil Uzi Vertās Eternal Atake ā in addition to working with Kanye West, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Young Thug and Young Nudy ā Piāerre Bournehas reshaped the sound of modern hip-hop and become one of rapās most in-demand producers. Along the way, heās amassed more than 220 million streams on Spotify with more than 2.6 monthly listeners.
Also active as a rapper, he is known for his mixtapes showcasing his atmospheric beats and auto-tuned crooning. He grabbed the hip-hop worldās attention when he produced Magnolia, shifting the landscape of hip-hop production. He later received acclaim forĀ Sli’merre, his 2019 mixtape with frequent collaboratorĀ Young Nudy and recently collaborated with the legendary Juicy J on Space Age Pimpinā.
In 2021, Piāerre won his first Grammy Award for his production work on Kanye Westās Jesus Is King album. Later that year, he hit number 35 on the Billboard200 with his second studio album, the lauded The Life of Pi’erre 5(released on Interscope via Piāerreās label imprint SossHouse), featuring appearances byĀ Playboi Carti,Ā Lil Uzi Vert, and Sharc. Rolling Stone Australia listed The Life of Piāerre 5 at number 9 in their ā20 Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2021ā, stating, āPiāerre is smooth, commanding the contours of his production to make some of the yearās most genuinely fun musicā and āPiāerre Bourne just might be on his way to a Kanye-esque crossover ⦠essentially reshaping the sound of modern hip-hop before being able to even buy a drink.ā
Then, of course, thereās Piāerreās world-famous producer tagline, lifted from an old sketch onĀ The Jamie Foxx Show ā āYo Pi’erre, you wanna come out here?ā ā becoming a viral phenomenon.
Pitchfork declared in 2020, āYou canāt have a conversation about the best rap producers of the last few years without mentioning Piāerre Bourneā, and he has made his name cranking out beats that pair airy video-game melodies with classic trap drums. His breakthrough 2016 mixtape series The Life of Piāerre was recorded while working as an engineer at Epic Records in Atlanta, with the trilogy becoming the foundation for his future sound, full of dreamy production and his own light-hearted, lovestruck singing.

Piāerre Bourne is responsible for crafting the breakout hits of many prominent hip-hop acts today, and without him, hip-hopās cultural landscape would look very different. Often imitated, never duplicated, his beats are built on a happy, trappy latticework of drum sounds, synths, flutes and vocals ā all built from scratch and all distorted and tweaked in ways only Piāerreās brain can muster.Ā His lyrics are studded with millennial pop culture references, name-dropping Lilo and Stitch, SpongeBob and Patrick, Dora the Explorer, Stranger Things and Back To The Future. āWish I could go back in time, then I could save your life, Hop in the DeLorean, yeah, Iām Marty McFlyā ā āFortune Cookieā
Donāt miss seeing hip-hopās future, Piāerre Bourne, when he brings his unique blend of hip-hop and rapid-fire rap to venues in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland in December.
