Summers just around the corner and the sights, tastes and sounds of Victoria’s favourite beach festival are about to take over the iconic seaside town of Queenscliff. The town is buzzing with final festival preparation‘s and last minute touches to make the 26th edition of the Queenscliff Music Festival the vibiest ever. Taking place on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula the festival runs from Friday 22nd November to Sunday 24th November.

Queenscliff is a festival for all the ages with so much to see, hear and do! Catch great music from Michael Franti + Spearhead in their only Victorian appearance, Xavier Rudd, Kasey Chambers, Marlon Williams, C.W. Stoneking and over 60 more acts. Don’t miss the chance to dance with your kids at The Wiggles Sound System featuring Dorothy The Dinosaur and get your laughs on with Sunday’s Comedy Hour featuring Daniel Connell and more. Experience the beautiful Bellarine region at its best with craft beers, boutique wines and gin, taste local gourmet produce, including croissants and pastries from Ket Baker and suck it up at our new pop-up- Oyster Bar, brought to you by TARRA Queenscliff. Explore one of Victoria’s finest historic streetscapes or take a beach stroll. Stretch it out with Yoga & Live Music each morning or be part of a pub choir experience with Chorus Club. This weekend is so jam packed you’ll definitely need to rest on Monday!

Head on down to the funk and soul vibes at the ozone stage where the best Melb DJs such as Vince Peach, DJ Manchild, Mz Rizk, Fee-B Squared and DJ Burning Sandals will be spinning those old skool classic soul funk n disco tunes to get your feet moving and your hips shaking. Discover new music to love from emerging and local talent, ones to watch include indie folk darlings Elizabeth Riordan, Wild Honey and Ishan, and the surf-rock vibes of Hassall and Winksy, plus many more superstars of the future.

Theres a huge stack of entertainment on offer for the kids! Catch The Wiggles Sound System Ft DJ Dorothy The Dinosaur and ARIA nominated Whistle & Trick as seen on ABC TV, witness acts of daring on the highwire, gasp at the stunts of Circus Bebop, watch out for the Giants Seagulls roaming the festival grounds and learn to play Ukelele with Woody’s World and an array of instruments with The Marimba Taters plus so much more…

Lovers of all things nautical can watch the historic tugboats pull the big ships into the harbour as they’ve done for over a century, dine at the yummy eateries on the pier and view the 360 degree vista from the lookout tower at the Marina. Check out the fascinating Queenscliff Maritime Museum which will be open for festival goers for the first time with extensive archive materials including charts maps, documents, photographs and paintings along with historic boats and ancient ships bells on display. Seize the chance to see the iconic Fisherman’s Waiting Shed circa1856 with its ghost paintings from celebrated local artist Henry Zanoni.

Musically bent green thumbs can make music with a marigold,compose with a Chrysanthemum or listen to lavender with Playable Streets. Reach out and touch real plants to play these unique organic instruments.The Plants are new experimental musical instruments that combine organic matter and bespoke digital sensors developed by Playable Streets. For the first-time these plant-based instruments are available for the public to play and create new live compositions. Swelling with textural waves and phasing rhythmic movement, The Plants will be unlike any musical instrument you have ever seen, heard or played. The Plants installation is open to everyone to interact with, explore, and make new collaborative compositions.

Engage with the Slow Art Collective to create art that’s grounded in environmental stability, material ethics, DIY Culture and collaboration. Actively participate in its creation and experience the power of art little by little through practice, not by just an idea or theory.
