Mushroom Labels are incredibly proud to congratulate this year’s ARIA Award winners across its Bloodlines and Liberation Records families.
Matt Gudinski, Mushroom Group Chief Executive, says:
“We are so humbled to work with the extraordinarily talented artists we do, and I want to sincerely congratulate Vance Joy, Julia Jacklin and Uncle Archie Roach on their well-deserved ARIA wins. The calibre of records and music released this year across all Mushroom Group labels has been truly outstanding, and the effort that has gone into bringing music to fans by our teams never ceases to amaze me – especially following a tough few years across the industry.” Bloodlines and
Mushroom Group are humbled and proud to see
Archie Roach receive an ARIA Award for
Best Independent Release for the last song he wrote,
‘One Song’. This is a special honour for the Gunditjmara and Bundjalung elder whose work enriched our lives and whose voice will be heard forever. This is Archie’s ninth ARIA Award, and he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2020.
Vance Joy opened the ARIA Awards last night with a captivating performance of Gold Certified single ‘Clarity’, the most heard Australian song on Australian radio in 2022 so far – following another phenomenal year of delighting fans on a truly global scale.
Liberation Records are thrilled to congratulate
Vance Joy on ARIA’s acknowledgement of
In Our Own Sweet Time, taking home
Best Video for
‘Every Side Of You’, directed by celebrated filmmaker Bill Bleakley (Confidence Man, Ocean Alley, DMA’s). With over 200 million streams, Vance Joy’s third studio album
In Our Own Sweet Time was proclaimed by The Music as the
“biggest album of 2022 so far” in September. The ARIA top 3 record has seen him play a phenomenal string of sold-out shows across Australia this month, proving his strength as a live entertainer. With a plethora of achievements to his name – including platinum-certified albums and singles, a now four-time ARIA award-winning catalogue, and sold-out live shows around the globe, Liberation could not be prouder of the beloved Australian artist.
Liberation Records also couldn’t be more proud to see
Julia Jacklin take home the ARIA award for
Best Adult Contemporary Album for
PRE PLEASURE. Recorded in Montreal with co-producer Marcus Paquin (The Weather Station, The National),
PRE PLEASURE debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Album and Vinyl charts and #2 on the Album chart.
PRE PLEASURE is a masterclass in song writing and sees Jacklin expand beyond her signature sound and further cement her success globally, receiving glowing reviews from the likes of Uncut, Paste, Pitchfork, Mojo, NME, DIY. Following a mammoth tour of the US playing her biggest venues to date, the 12x ARIA-nominated artist is currently touring Europe in support of the album and will return home to play the songs live for Australian fans in Feb 2023.
A big
congratulations to our 2022 ARIA Award winners and nominees, and all the artists who took home an award. We’re looking forward to a massive 2023 – with many more outstanding releases to come from our Mushroom Labels family.
