In Our Own Sweet Time has seen Vance Joy tour Australia with a phenomenal string of sold-out shows across this month, playing to more than 50,000 fans, including two sold-out nights at The Sydney Opera House. It punctuates the end of another huge year for Vance Joy – releasing his third album, winning and opening the 2022 ARIA Awards, having the most played Australian song on Australian radio in 2022 – and there’s no signs of slowing. With upcoming touring across North America, Europe and the UK, Vance Joy is set to perform his updated setlist with fans around the world. His Australian Tour also marked a return to where it all began, geographically and musically, with Vance Joy reuniting with original band members joining him onstage around the country.
Featuring hit singles ‘Clarity’, ‘Missing Piece’ and ‘Don’t Fade’, Vance Joy’s third studio album In Our Own Sweet Time quickly became a fan favourite. Debut single ‘Missing Piece’ accumulated over 150 million streams worldwide and certified double platinum in Australia, being the #7 highest-selling Australian single for 2021. It was also awarded Best Video at last year’s awards.
Vance Joy’s previous two albums 2014’s dream your life away and 2018’s Nation of Twoboth reached #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart on release and have secured double-platinum status. Along with 5 billion global streams at DSPs, he also holds ten ARIA-certified platinum and multi-platinum singles, including ‘Riptide’ at 14x platinum, ‘Fire and the Flood’ at 5x platinum and ‘Georgia’, also 5x platinum. His second album Nation of Two cracked the Top 10 of Billboard’s ‘200’ Albums Chart on release and was #2 in Canada, and his songs have topped the Alt Radio and Triple A Charts in the US on more than one occasion.
