PHIL JAMIESON ANNOUNCES NEW SOLO ALBUM ’10CHARLIE’ SET FOR AUG 14 RELEASE, NEW SINGLE ‘WEEKENDS’ AND MASSIVE 44 DATE AUSTRALIAN TOUR
Australian singer-songwriter Phil Jamieson has today announced a huge new chapter in his solo career, unveiling his brand-new single Weekends(out now), alongside news of his forthcoming sophomore album 10Charlie (presave here), set for release August 14.
To celebrate the album, Jamieson will embark on an enormous tour of Australia, PJ AIR, hitting venues across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. New single Weekends offers the first taste of 10Charlie, a record that sees Jamieson diving deeper into his storytelling instincts, blending reflective lyricism, ambient guitar textures and that unmistakable voice that has defined Australian alternative music for decades.
“Weekends. It’s a destination. It’s a place among the tall pines. It’s a restaurant / bar / coffee shop / diner. You can go to Weekends on a Monday. It’s a place to agree or disagree,” explains Jamieson. “The song is built around intimacy and hope. And it has some fun guitars.”
10Charlie represents Jamieson at his most personal and direct, capturing moments of introspection and transcendence. Reuniting with producer Oscar Dawson and featuring collaborations with artists including Davey Lane, Rob Muinos, Ben Edgar and Soph Ozard, the album is at times both meditative and furious; as Jamieson presents stories of reflection fueled by moments of introspection and an overall commitment to pouring into one’s own elevation and fulfilment. 10Charlie weaves its way through melody and nuance with ease, matching Jamieson’s signature charisma and frenetic energy as a rock vocalist and musician. “This album is much more personal than my first record. Dressed entirely in Gold, Dr.Mark Silcox makes his way to the stage to discuss with tonight’s audience the benefits of Gold trading.
At the age of 62, Dr. Mark Silcox is worried about retirement, memory loss and wealth. He’s discovered the secret to financial independence: Gold Trading and he’s here to give a Master Class on its benefits.
What ensues is the most basic power point presentation following Silcox through his life and his love for all things gold. And it actually works. It’s random, bizarre and strangely informative to watch.
Now it’s quite obvious that Silcox loves gold, and he’s here to inform the world about all the good things gold has to offer, and why we shouldn’t waste Fairy detergent. He’s well versed on the subject, bringing an audience member on stage to further educate them on all things gold.
Silcox is a rather peculiar character and his delivery is deadpan, making it even more amusing. His slides make no sense, but that’s the point and perhaps the brilliance of the show. We are constantly asking ourselves- “What the fuck is going on?” and with his perfect delivery in monotone the audience can’t help but laugh.
Silcox doles out gold trading advice with such confidence that even if the information is wrong, it doesn’t matter- it’s bloody funny. At times the audience doesn’t know whether to laugh or take notes. We’re getting financial advice and life advice all at the same time.
It takes an awful amount of courage to share your art and comedy with the world, even more when you’re dressed entirely in gold and Silcox delivers an amusing show that is part comedy, part life advice.

Situated in a dank, hot and stuffy little room, affectionately known as The Vault, sheets draped as decorations Sweeney Preston is here to tell us all about what it’s like to be Australian’s Worst Journalist.
The self proclaimed former Fuck Boy and one- time writer for Pedestrian Magazine Sweeney is about to let us all into his world for the next hour.
He begins with a rather comedic tale of his time working on a cruise ship, describing his experience being bullied by a nine year old bogan.
He then moves on to tell the audience about dating, relationship advice and working for Pedestrian as a writer.
Sweeney gives a polished performance that demonstrates his ability to tell a good story and make it funny. And while the audience is a little harsh on him, not always laughing when they should, he does an excellent job. He doesn’t allow it to throw him, he leans into it making his delivery that much funnier telling the audience “ Yes, and. That’s a good joke. That is, if you miss a good joke, I’ll tell you.” Scolding the audience is fucking hilarious, and how he leans into it is brilliant.
Describing his experience at Pedestrian with a powerpoint slide show is where the comedy gold of this show shines, and where his funniest stories land. From headlines to terrible dating advice, Sweeney lets us into the world of youth journalism and how he created some of the most ridiculous but well read news articles.
Preston is both confident, charming and just a little cheeky, making him an exceptional performer. He tells his jokes with the ease of a seasoned professional, knowing how to garner laughter from even the most harsh critic. His show flows well, he improvs occasionally and allows the audience to participate when needed. The added improv and giving the audience a hard time is sheer genius- it gives the performance room to breathe, making it more personal.
With his shit dating advice, his funny stories and his charm, Sweeney Preston delivers a show that is unique, clever and entertaining. His material is executed beautifully and he has a way of bringing you into his life with such great enthusiasm that you can’t help but laugh.

Situated across from the Queen Victoria Market is the Motley WhereHaus, and tonight on the stage in his quest for love is Giuseppe. A tall, handsome charming yet hapless man who has never known love. Beginning the show by handing out roses among the audience, Giuseppe is off to a great start.
Tonight, with a fair amount of audience help, Giuseppe will navigate his way through what it is to be in love. He asks the audience if they have been in love and what it feels like.
Giuseppe begs the audience to give him their expertise on everything from hugging to kissing and going on a date. Giuseppe tries to gather information on what he must do to succeed at love. A humble beach boy, he is naïve when it comes to matters of the heart. He is sweet, funny and loveable as he enlists various audience members to help him with his mission.
Giuseppe’s Love Quest is more than just a stand up comedy show and what Detto has created is hilarious. He’s charming, cheeky and loveable as he guides the audience through his quest.
However, it’s Detto’s gift for improv is where his genius lays, he’s quick with jokes, and he doesn’t falter. In fact some of the jokes are so quick it takes the audience a few seconds to catch up before he’s onto the next one. It’s sheer improv brilliance at its best and is a master class on comedy and character development.
Developing a character from scratch that the audience will not only fall in love with, but also cheer on is a stroke of genius and it makes for a brilliant one man show that is both funny and unique. It’s a triumph from start to finish, and a show that definitely can’t be missed. And even if Giuseppe hasn’t fallen in love, the audience has certainly fallen in love with him.

PNAU COLLAB WITH MEXICAN ROCK BAND ‘THE WARNING’ FOR NEW SINGLE ‘TU CORAZÓN (YOUR HEART)’, ALONGSIDE 12-DATE REGIONAL AUS TOUR ANNOUNCE
Dance legends PNAU are known for collaborating with both emerging artists (Budjerah, Djanaba) and globally renowned artists (Elton John, Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Khalid), and today they unveil their latest surprise collab, teaming up with all-sister Mexican rock band The Warning for their joyful new single Tu Corazón (Your Heart). The release comes ahead of PNAU announcing a 12-date regional tour along the East Coast of Australia, as well as playing Mexico for the very first time.

PNAU first came across The Warning while shooting a video for Empire of the Sun in Mexico over a decade ago, when The Warning were aspiring musicians hoping to make their way in the heavy rock scene as an all-sister band. Incredibly, the three sisters, Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra were only 14, 12 and nine when they uploaded a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman to YouTube, going viral with their rock attitude and skilful playing and vocals. The meeting of PNAU and The Warning led to a recording session in PNAU’s studio in downtown Los Angeles not long after. The song, Tu Corazón (Your Heart), has now risen to the surface. Tu Corazón is a song about opening your heart to the beauty around you, an important message for people everywhere in an ever-changing world.
The inversions of Tu Corazón (Your Heart) were brought to life visually, with PNAU returning to the old town of Monterrey to create a music video with the people of Mexico – celebrating the Latin culture and vibrance, passion and love the country is known for. Directed by Alberto ‘AJ’ Gomez, the music video involved a cast and crew of 40 locals, bringing the passion and energy of the song to life. Watch the official music video here.
Tu Corazón (Your Heart) follows on from PNAU’s recent collab with Grammy-nominated Italian trio MEDUZA, Rollin, Light Me Up with Kungs, and a run of high-profile remixes for global icons including Coldplay, Parcels, Tame Impala, Diana Ross and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. PNAU’s 2024 album Hyperbolic featured an A-list lineup of collaborators such as Khalid, Troye Sivan, Bebe Rexha, and Empire of the Sun. Tucked away in a little alley way just off Little Bourke St, sitting above Berlin Bar is the House of Maximon, a dark, atmospheric little bar where this evening’s show is about to proceed.
Opening the show with a quick little sketch is Casey Filips, an utterly absurd yet completely brilliant warm up that requires audience participation. It gets the audience ready for what is about to unfold.
Joseph Green, a tall and wiry character exploding onto the stage, where he shares with us the funny tale of his chance encounter with Erin Patterson.
Having studied law for a whopping 18 years ( one must wonder how many side quests Green took along the way) we hear about his time as an Associate to the Judge on the biggest murder trial Victoria has ever seen.
He regales us with tales of his time working at the Supreme Court, and like an ADHD child distracted by a squirrel we get a few side quests thrown in for effect- which works perfectly.
What ensues is nothing short of utter absurd hilarity, side splitting laughter delivering constant jokes at his expense.
Green is brilliant at telling these haphazard stories, that makes the audience wonder- how the fuck did he end up here? Thankfully his tales are so funny, we are laughing the entire show.
Joseph Green seems to have lived a few lives in one, and this makes for a fantastic show, brilliantly delivered and executed.
In such a serious world of the Supreme Court, Green brings utter chaos all delivered with perfect comedic timing. Drawing on his own personal experiences and his haphazard way of moving through the world, his life is the perfect comedy fodder.
Joseph Green’s Mushroom Lady & Me is a wonderful show that has you laughing from the moment you sit down, till the moment you leave.

Interview: Bryan Martin
Bryan Martin returns to Australia for his first-ever headline tour and he’s coming in hot. After turning heads at CMC Rocks in 2024 and joining Chris Young for a run of powerhouse shows, Martin is stepping into the spotlight on his own terms. This April, he’ll bring his unmistakable, grit‑soaked anthems to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and will also appear at Meatstock (Toowoomba and Gippsland).
Bryan, this will be your first-ever headline tour in Australia — what does finally stepping out front on your own stages here mean to you?
It’s a big deal for me. I’ve been over there once and felt the support, so getting to come back and play my own shows is something I’ve looked forward to since we got back from our first trip over there.
You’ve spoken about being blown away by the 20,000+ fans at CMC Rocks. What stuck with you most from that first Australian experience?
It was how familiar it felt. You’re a long way from home, but then you look out and people know the songs, they’re singing along, and they’re paying attention to the words. They were loud and engaged. It caught me a little off guard and really stuck with me. I knew then that I had to come back.
You’re hitting Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and also appearing at Meatstock Australia. How does playing a festival crowd differ from your own headline shows?
At a festival, you’re trying to grab people that might not know you, so the set’s tighter and a little more direct. Headline shows are where you can open it up, play the deeper cuts, talk a little more. It’s more of a full picture of who you are. Both are equally special, but at the end of the day, it’s about the songs. I’m just hoping that people connect with the songs and see themselves in them.
Your music carries a raw honesty shaped by the life you’ve lived. How does your Cherokee Indigenous American heritage influence the way you write and tell stories?
It’s a part of who I am. There’s a respect for truth, for where you come from, for the struggle and the pride in it. I try to write songs that mean something. Not just for me, but for anybody who’s lived through hard things and kept going.
You’ve built a global audience with over 1.4 billion streams. What do you think it is about your sound that resonates so deeply with listeners worldwide?
I think it’s just real life stuff. I’ve lived the songs. People hear something they recognize as real, and it resonates with them.
‘We Ride’ became a Platinum-certified anthem and a career-defining moment. Did you feel the shift in your career when that song took off?
Yeah, you could feel it building. More people at shows, more messages coming in, more opportunities. It didn’t feel overnight, but it was steady. That song definitely helped put things on a different level and opened up some doors.
You’ve shared stages with Jason Aldean, toured stadiums with Morgan Wallen, and debuted at Stagecoach Festival. How have those experiences shaped the artist you are today?
You learn a lot just watching how those guys carry themselves, how they command a stage, how they take care of fans. You pick up a lot from just being around it. At the same time, it pushes you to just keep doing what you do. To stick to who you are.
Being nominated for MusicRow’s Breakthrough Artist-Writer of the Year is a major recognition. What did that milestone mean for you personally?
It meant a lot because it’s coming from the writing side too. I’m a songwriter first. I’ve spent a lot of time working on songs, long before anything really took off. So for that to get recognized, it felt like the thousands of songs I’ve written really held some weight.
Your latest album Years In The Making and the new single ‘Tug O’ War’ mark a powerful new chapter. What themes or emotions were you exploring on this record?
A lot of it’s about that push and pull of trying to move forward but still dealing with your past. There’s growth in there through all the miles, but it’s not clean or easy. It’s about being honest about where you’re at.
When Australian fans see you this April, what kind of show or live energy should they expect from Bryan Martin in 2026?
It’s gonna be real, it’s gonna be loud, and it’s gonna come from the heart. Giving all we got each night. I hope people leave feeling like they were part of something. Like I said, I’ve been excited about coming back ever since the first trip to Australia. Looking forward to just being with the fans again.
