PHIL JAMIESON SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘BLUE AS THE SUNLIGHT’

Australian singer-songwriter Phil Jamieson continues to unveil his most expansive solo era yet with the release of new single, Blue As The Sunlight, the second offering from his forthcoming sophomore album, 10Charlie (out August 14 and available to presave here).

Arriving on the heels of the project’s first single Weekends, Blue As The Sunlight further showcases Jamieson’s evolving solo sound; a blend of vivid storytelling, atmospheric guitar work and a vocal delivery that moves between tenderness and raw intensity. The track deepens the emotional and sonic palette already introduced on 10Charlie, revealing another side of an album shaped by reflection, resilience and renewal.

 

“Blue is about unconditional love. Not just for others, but for yourself as well,” explains Jamieson.”In some ways, from my perspective, this is about having empathy and forgiveness. It’s about allowing yourself to be loved and also in doing so, loving others. It’s this feeling that pierces through the melody.”

 

“Lyrically, it’s a little obtuse in some ways, but the drama of the song comes from me trying to communicate that on my own personal journey, I’ve unlocked a way to spread love and do it in an unconditional manner. I’m not always great at it, but I try. That’s the purpose behind the track.”

10Charlie finds Jamieson at his most direct and personal, capturing moments of introspection and clarity while leaning into collaboration with a handpicked group of Australian musicians and longtime creative allies. Reuniting with producer Oscar Dawson, the record features contributions from Davey Lane, Rob Muinos, Ben Edgar and Soph Ozard, weaving together a collection that shifts between meditative space and explosive release.

TILLY FENTON SHARES FLIRTY POP ANTHEM ‘I JUST WANNA KISS YOU’

Melbourne indie pop artist Tilly Fenton levels up with her infectious new dreampop single I Just Wanna Kiss You out today, paired with a perfectly lush 90s inspired karaoke bar video clip.

 

Layered with upbeat synths and oozing with dreamy pop sensibility reminiscent of Blusher, Holly Humberstone and Gracie Abrams, the track was produced by Tilly’s mainstay producer, Michael Belsar (The Jungle Giants, Hayden James, Bob Moses) and mastered by powerhouse engineer, Dale Becker (Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish).

 

“I Just Wanna Kiss You is all about that flirty kind of love that feels easy at first, but ends up meaning a little more than you expected” explains Tilly. “It’s rooted in those small, in between moments where everything feels light, but there’s this quiet urgency underneath it.. like wanting to show someone you’re in it for real, before the moment slips away.”

 

Sharing a sumptuous, 90s inspired video for I Just Wanna Kiss You, Tilly flourishes in her sparkly pop glory, performing her pop anthem in a glitter-laden karaoke bar, complete with an impressive bevy of girlfriends and all the confetti and photobooth fun a pop queen could dream of.

“From the beginning, I knew I wanted this video to have my friends in it, because it feels like a song I would sing and dance along to with my girlfriends on a night out. Then director Michelle Pitiris came on board to bring the concept to life even further and that is where we leant into a more narrative-free approach, capturing the carefree candid moments between my friends and I. We intertwined that with some more intimate shots that reflect the vulnerability of the song.”

 

Starting her musical journey in 2023, Tilly Fenton has spent the past few years crafting her debut EP, working alongside renowned producers and songwriters Anna Laverty and Michael Belsar, while also channelling inspiration from Lizzy McAlpine, Gracie Abrams and Phoebe Bridgers into her own unique sound. An artist capable of balancing vulnerability with strength, Tilly is one of the rare few who can imbue the emotional complexity of growing up and navigating relationships through a mature lens far beyond her 23 years, with her debut single The Secret and Valentine already captivating listeners along the way. In 2025 she released five-track EP it’s a feeling that i know, snagging some solid support from triple j and commercial radio, and has been busy supporting exciting pop artists Lexi Jayde, Aleksiah, Seb Szabo and Mariae Cassandra.

MAXON RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM ‘TALKING WITH STRANGERS’ OUT TODAY

Melbourne singer-songwriter Maxon today releases her long-awaited debut album Talking With Strangers a deeply personal, open-hearted collection that cements her as one of the city’s most compelling new voices, and sets the stage for a special hometown celebration at The Toff.

Threading together singles Little Blue, Tangerine Dream and 18, the album unfolds as her “loudest love letter so far” traversing heartbreak, healing, longing and radical honesty. Across its runtime, Maxon leans into her signature blend of Americana, ’70s folk-rock and modern pop, crafting songs that feel both intimate and expansive, anchored by her luminous vocals and an instinct for emotional storytelling that lingers long after first listen.

MOLER SHARE PROPULSIVE NEW SINGLE + VIDEO ‘AI’ + ANNOUNCE SINGLE LAUNCH SHOW THIS NOVEMBER

Aussie indie rock trio Moler today swipe right on raw energy and nostalgic punk with AI, the group’s first new music since 2019 and a deliciously raucous ride elevated by its accompanying music video. Detailing artificial intelligence and its surrounds soundtracked by fuzzy guitars and punchy 70s and 80s pop punk energy, Moler are also set to christen AI in a live setting on Saturday 8 November, today announcing a single launch show at Thornbury’s Shotkickers, joining additional performances later next month at River Rocks Festival in Geelong and at the Tote.

 

Marking Moler’s first new single since their 2019 cover of the legendary Velvet Underground drummer Moe Tucker’s 1989 song Work, AI balances throwback edges, potent energy and compelling vocals alongside its futuristic subject matter. A bustling lovechild of influences, spanning The Lemonheads, The Saints, The Stooges, Blondie, The Runaways, Mudhoney, Sex Pistols and beyond, AI also brandishes Moler’s trademark, and globally recognised, sound: “it’s riot grrrl, it’s challenging, but always fun,” explains bassist and lead vocalist Helen Cattanach.

 

Composed by all three members, Helen alongside new writer and guitarist James (JJ) McCann and drummer David Peacock, AI came to life in Moler’s rehearsal room, as Helen elaborates, “We recorded the musical bed track at Sound Park Studios with Andre (Idge) Hehir. I called out all the changes in the music ….One, two, three, four. There was no solid lyrical content yet, just an idea. The full lyrics came together a little later at Caution Horses Recording studio with Miguel Alonso engineering; recording the vocals and mixing it for the album. James & Dave added the “AI” backing vocals and hey presto, done!”

 

A propulsive masterclass in raw punk and alternative rock, AI also unsurprisingly snapshots the real-world evolution and obsession with all things artificial intelligence. “Everyone, I mean everyone, is talking about AI,” shares Helen. “I thought it would be a great topic to write about. There are so many elements to AI that relate directly to music and to all of our lives. The theme of the song was about our possible futuristic, personal relationship to AI….AI as our therapist, our organiser of thoughts, our tool, our emotional relationships. There are so many questions.”

 

Mastering their brand new track with returning Moler collaborator Lindsay Gravina (Magic Dirt, The Birthday Party) at Birdland Studios, the group also teamed up with a longtime friend and creative compadre Ian White to bring AI’s accompanying music video to vivid and colourful life, “There was no real storyboard or concept for the clip,” explains Helen. “It was, “Can you film something or come to a live show to film? Ian has a long-term connection with Moler, having cut a few videos for the band in the past. The latest, ‘AI’, was mainly cut from live footage from a live show at the Espy, where we showcased our new songs for the first time in front of an audience. Ian asked, “Do you want footage from AI?” I said, “Well, that would be apt.”

 

Forming in St Kilda in the early-to-mid 1990s, Moler unveiled their debut full length ARIA nominated album Golden Duck in 1997, showcasing their eclectic craftsmanship and dexterity, flitting effortlessly between rock, punk, post punk and power pop over the years. Disbanding in the early 2000s following the release of multiple EPs, Moler ultimately reformed back in 2018 for a show-stopping performance at The Curtin Hotel, before releasing a new EP Work in 2019. A band who have garnered success and acclaim at home and abroad, spanning international tours, radio play in Japan and America, including Little Steven’s Underground Garage on SiriusXM, hosted by Steven Van Zandt, Moler have also previously shared stages with the likes of Weezer, Regurgitator, Custard and Magic Dirt, and now sit poised on an insatiable new chapter kickstarted today via their brand new single AI, which will be witnessed in full flight at a special launch show next month.

 

“There has been a very long time between shows,” says Helen. “Moler was kinda put on ice or defunct for 19 years. We got together initially just for a celebration of our 25 years since our first single. Then Covid hit. After that Helen was invited to do bass playing for a 90’s super group, Ash Naylor, Kram and Adalita, for a ‘Spicks & Specks’ television spot and since then Moler got on a bit of a roll with a 90’s resurgence in the live scene. Moler took off on a bit of a ride and then decided, with new guitarist and writer JJ McCann, let’s get some new material out, like an album and let’s see where that takes us next.”

 

JJ McCann steps seamlessly into the role of guitarist, taking over from founding member Julian Poulson, who now lives in Cambodia. Known for his work with Nunchukka Superfly, The Drones, and an extensive solo career, JJ brings his own flair and energy to the band while staying true to Moler’s unmistakable sound. Originally joining as a fill-in when Julian couldn’t make a show, JJ recalls, “When Helen asked me to join and learn 16 songs in two weeks, I thought I couldn’t do it. So, I asked my good friend and late-night conversationalist Patrick Emery, and he said, ‘do it.’” The rest, as they say, is history — JJ has well and truly cemented his place in the iconic trio.

While their long-awaited follow-up to 1997’s Golden Duck is as yet unannounced, a sophomore Moler album is absolutely on the cards; and if AI is any indication, it will be undeniably worth the wait.

TILLY FENTON SHARES PUNCHY NEW SINGLE + VIDEO ‘IT’S YOU!’ DEBUT EP ‘IT’S A FEELING THAT I KNOW’ SET FOR RELEASE OCTOBER 10

A sparkling new chapter is imminent for Melbourne/Naarm indie pop artist Tilly Fenton, with a punchy new single It’s You! out in the world today, and the announcement of her anticipated debut EP it’s a feeling that i know set for release on October 10.

 

Playful, effervescent and with some charmingly gritty rock edges around the gloss within, It’s You! showcases Tilly’s expansive nuance as a songwriter, capturing her cheeky, fun side while also embracing some iconic pop icons and a soundtrack-inspired modus operandi for the end result. “Olivia Rodrigo’s music definitely had a huge influence on the sound for this song,” shares Tilly. “Ever since her first album came out, I had always wanted to write a super upbeat, angsty and playful pop rock song after hearing ‘good 4 u’ for the first time when I was in high school. It feels pretty full circle considering this was the music I was listening to, while I was going through the experiences that inspired It’s You! Another artist that shaped the sound of this song was Hannah Montana and the early Miley Cyrus music. I was so obsessed with the Hannah TV show and movie growing up, so a lot of the music from it was engraved in my brain from a very young age. I had always wanted to write a guitar driven song with punchy hooks and confident, cheeky lyrics, so I definitely channelled my inner Hannah for It’s You!”

 

Marking an exciting step closer to the release of her first-ever EP, It’s You! also balances its upbeat stylings with relatable and immersive storytelling, with Tilly delivering an empowering ode to standing up for yourself on her latest track, as she elaborates, “It’s You! is about that one person who really gets under your skin. It’s a love letter to the kind of people who twist things, make you question yourself, and somehow turn you into the villain. It’s that moment you stop biting your tongue and finally say what you should’ve said ages ago, with just the right amount of pettiness “my co-star said you’re hurt because you picked a fight with your best friend”. It’s playful, dramatic and weirdly healing screaming “it’s not me, it’s you!”

 

Initially penning It’s You! during a session with Anna Laverty (Lady Gaga, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), Tilly sought to write “a vengeful yet cathartic song”, with the pair brainstorming lyrics that ultimately led to a discussion of the common saying: “it’s not you, it’s me”. “I thought it would be fun to reword it to “it’s not me, it’s you”,” Tilly explains. “I then brought this song to my producer Michael Belsar and my drummer Ben Ellingworth and started the recording process, and we all had so much fun experimenting with different sounds. Michael and I then spent more time on the song, and it continued to evolve into what it is today.”

 

Mixed by Michael Belsar and mastered by Dale Becker, the accompanying music video for It’s You! saw Tilly work alongside Jesse Richards, who returned after working on Tilly’s previous live video for The Secret, with the brand new clip bringing It’s You!’s underlying message to life via a live performance, mirroring the dramatic yet liberating themes. “The video for It’s You! is a live performance we shot in an empty theatre,” shares Tilly. “The concept came from the idea of performing to no one but yourself. There is something really dramatic but also freeing performing a song like “It’s You!” in that kind of space. It’s kind of like dancing in your bedroom when no one is watching. I have had a vision to do a music video in a theatre for so long and I think it’s so perfect that I ended up doing it for this song!”

 

Sitting as the energetic closing moment for the broader five-track EP it’s a feeling that i know, It’s You! powerfully concludes the EP’s oscillating moods and moments. Opening with pillowy-soft introspection with The Secret, Tilly’s dulcet vocals float over serene instrumentals and vulnerable lyricism. The percolating bliss of the EP’s midway point, Valentine, dazzles in driving rhythms and dreamy hooks, and It’s You! concludes on a grittier yet jubilant note, with the entire EP resoundingly reflecting Tilly’s ultimate mission statement. “This EP is a very coming of age story,” says Tilly. “I wrote these songs while I was navigating all the confusing, emotional, and overwhelming moments that come with growing up, especially in your teenage years. They’re honest and vulnerable, but always with a sense of hope that everything is going to be ok. I hope that these songs offer comfort and remind people they’re not alone in what they’re feeling and allow them to find joy in the chaos.”

EMILY ULMAN SHARES EVOCATIVE NEW SINGLE ‘MOUNTAINS MOUNTAINS MOUNTAINS’

A longtime champion of the Australian music industry, and an equally talented artist and storyteller herself, Melbourne’s Emily Ulman today returns with a raw yet charismatic new single Mountains Mountains Mountains, which also serves as a peek into her upcoming full-length album set for release later this year.

 

Channelling the serene confessional qualities of Julia Jacklin with the poetic beauty of Big Thief and the folksy charm of Pinegrove, Mountains Mountains Mountains is a cinematic and tender ode to life’s juxtaposing moments, with Ulman lyrically wearing her heart on her sleeve while also delivering a mesmerising performance rooted in softly blurred indie rock, folk and pop hues. “I love the Japanese proverb: The reverse side has a reverse side”, shares Ulman. “Nothing is ever just one thing. Produced and mixed by Bonnie Knight (Amyl and the Sniffers, Angie McMahon, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers), and mastered by Simon Berckelman (Courtney Barnett, Passenger, Lime Cordiale, Cate Le Bon), Mountains Mountains Mountains expands on Ulman’s most recent single, the softly amiable Every Hillside which unveiled back in March, with the latest track also featuring contributions from Gab Strum (Japanese Wallpaper, Mallrat, Gretta Ray) on piano, bass and synth, Soren Maryasin (Stella Bridie, Chitra) on drums, and Alex Lashlie (Closet Straights, Loose Tooth) on guitar and backing vocals.

 

For over two decades, Emily Ulman has been a driving and defining voice in Australian music, both on stage and behind the scenes. Through her lengthy tenure championing artists, Ulman has curated and programmed lineups at some of Melbourne’s most iconic venues, including The Prince Bandroom, The Gasometer Hotel, and The Toff In Town, and has also programmed some of Australia’s most significant music events, including Brunswick Music Festival, White Night Melbourne, the CHANGES summit, and her own award-winning online festival Isol-Aid, which was awarded Best Festival at the 2021 Music Victoria Awards. Most recently, Ulman served as Executive Program Director for ALWAYS LIVE, a Victorian state-wide celebration of contemporary music that spans emerging artists through to international icons, with everything from sell-out stadiums to intimate venues playing home to these one-off, exclusive and community-focused events.

 

A key force motivating the Australian music scene towards a more progressive, inclusive and artist-first future, Ulman’s musical output is as revered as her work behind the scenes, renowned for her raw and evocative songwriting and infectious melodies that bewitch the soul. Releasing her first new music in over a decade in 2025, Ulman’s latest single, Mountains Mountains Mountains, is a delightful step closer to the long-awaited release of her brand-new album, with the follow-up to her 2015 album WEAR IT WELL set to release later this year.

 

“I think of songwriting as emotional archaeology,” says Ulman, “digging through memory and feeling to see what might still be living underneath. I’m drawn to the quiet intensity of a moment or phrase and the way a single word can unearth something you thought was long buried. I write to excavate. I sing to preserve. I make to stay awake to the mess and the magic of it all.”

 

“Releasing Mountains Mountains Mountains, and music again in general, is both a relief and a revelation,” Ulman concludes. “It feels like returning to a part of myself I almost forgot I missed.”

FLYNN GURRY SHARES ROUSING NEW SINGLE + VIDEO ‘DON’T STOP DREAMING’

An inspired and energetic folk pop bop, today marks the arrival of a brand new single, Don’t Stop Dreaming, from Aussie singer-songwriter Flynn Gurry, also armed with an accompanying new music video. Penned during some post tour blues, Don’t Stop Dreaming also comes ahead of a special East Coast run of shows through June, with Flynn set to visit Melbourne, Warrnambool, Sydney and Brisbane next month for his first ever headline tour.

 

Evoking the sparkling melodies of Vance Joy and the exuberance of Mumford & Sons, Don’t Stop Dreaming lyrically opens with introspection before blossoming into a soaring chorus, with Flynn proclaiming, “Don’t stop dreaming now / Don’t stop dreaming now / Keep that fire burning / Let it all pour out”.

 

Produced by Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe, Meg Mac, Dan Sultan) and Edwin White (Vance Joy, Amy Shark, Fergus James), Don’t Stop Dreaming marks Flynn’s first single to be released via his new home at ABC Music, while also ultimately detailing the highs and lows of life on the road – and finding the spark to keep moving forward when the post tour blues inevitably come. “This song was written post-comedown from my first big tour,” shares Flynn. “The last show I had played on that tour is still one of my most memorable shows and I had begun writing the lyrics in the green room whilst the headline band was playing. Feelings of bittersweet. There was a period after that tour where I spent a lot of my time wondering what was next because essentially, I had ticked off a very important bucket list moment – and the chorus came from this place. Ultimately this song is a reminder to myself to not stop dreaming, reminding me to keep pushing and not forget the little person with his guitar just wanting to play the fuck out of it in front of people.”

 

Co-written by Brad Arthur, mixed by Phil Threlfall (Ed Sheeran, Pierce Brothers) and mastered by Andrei Eremin, Don’t Stop Dreaming also brought Flynn creatively together with Michael Peters (Nike, Alfa Romeo) and Patrick Pierce (Cat Empire, Alice Ivy) on the visual side, with the end result organically emerging during the photo shoot for the single’s cover artwork. “The concept for the music video came to Michael and myself as we were shooting the single cover which is me running up a hill,” Flynn explains. “The narrative of the clip became about being playful and remembering our dreaming inner-child. My nephew, who looks very much like me when I was younger, portrays a younger Flynn in the music video. The young self is reminding the present self not to lose that playful energy and curiosity that that got you excited about life in the first place.”

 

Hailing from Warrnambool in Victoria, Flynn Gurry has spent the past few years rapidly making waves in the Australian music industry, most recently signing to Cult Artists for bookings and Woolstore Music, the management company helmed by beloved indie folk duo Pierce Brothers, and also inking a deal with ABC Records. Following a remarkable few years supporting the likes of Ian Moss, King Stingray, Ash Grunwald and Kim Churchill, Flynn also won the triple j Unearthed One Night Stand competition in 2024, which saw him perform alongside G Flip, Ruel, What So Not, Thelma Plum and more at their event in Warrnambool. Shortly after, Flynn became a triple j Unearthed feature artist, going on to support The Dreggs on a national tour, and closed out 2024 performing at Beyond The Valley Festival. And with 2025 now firmly in full swing, Flynn has already ticked off a national tour with Pierce Brothers, was named Port Fairy Folk Festival’s ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’, and has also supported The Dreggs, Kim Churchill, The 502s, and DICE.

 

With word of mouth around his live shows and his ongoing releases turning heads, 2025 will also find Flynn levelling up to tick off his first ever headline tour this June, kicking off on June 6 in Northcote before heading to Warrnambool and Sydney, and concluding proceedings in Brisbane on June 21. “This will be my first ever tour, so I’m really excited to be playing headline shows in major cities that I’ve not headlined in before,” enthuses Flynn. “I’ve been touring quite a lot the last 18 months opening up for some of the best live acts in the country and feel like I’ve been able to learn so much about connecting with your audience and putting on a great show. Audiences can expect lots of songs, stories and 12 string guitar.”

 

And before Flynn’s headline run next month, the world has plenty of time to fall head over heels for Don’t Stop Dreaming; an inspiring and relatable cut that also showcases Flynn at his most realised form to date.

 

“This feels like such a MOMENT in my career,” says Flynn. “I am really excited for everyone to hear this track because I feel it is my strongest work to date, and I also had the best time making it with such incredible people. The writing of DSD also happened for me at such an important time as it was right after I had finished my first big tour and while I was experiencing the post tour blues wondering what was next this song kind of fell into my lap and has become the inspiration to just keep going and keep dreaming.  “

 

“At the heart I love telling stories, I also love trying to bring lots of energy into a space even if it’s just me and my acoustic guitar.”

Following the acclaimed release of his seventeenth studio album Bootleg Melancholy late last year, Australian icon Diesel is proud to today announce a national headline run to close out 2024, hitting the road with a full band for the Bootleg Melancholy Album Tour, presented by New World Artists. And accompanying Diesel’s tour excitement is the addition of a brand new music video for Remember My Love, aka the modern swoon closing out 2023’s Bootleg Melancholy.

 

Commencing a 13-date national run on Saturday 31 August in Adelaide, Diesel’s Bootleg Melancholy Album Tour will also journey through Melbourne, Warragul, Hobart, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Batemans Bay, Canberra, Perth and Darwin, with proceedings drawing to a close on Friday 13 December in Caloundra. An exuberant and multi-faceted collection of 14 tracks, Bootleg Melancholy coalesces the myriad of talents wielded by Diesel, aka the prolific American-born and Aussie-based roots/rock guitarist and vocalist Mark Lizotte. Loaded with hooks, honeyed vocals, and a range of stylistic hues, Bootleg Melancholy’s songs greet with the warmth and familiarity of a good friend, with songs about family, mortality, childhood, and dreams. Travelling across time, place, and memory, this is rousing yet reflective pop music that celebrates the joys of everyday life while braving the difficult stuff – the challenges we all eventually face – with insights and tenderness; a fact witnessed vividly on the album’s closing track Remember My Love. “The song is about not forgetting that there are others around us who are experiencing the same human condition and not to get stuck in a moment,” shares Diesel of Remember My Love. “In part, I’m speaking to myself; a reminder that one must be at peace to some degree to be able to give solace to others. It’s also a mantra that in times of despair I’ve tapped into, just the idea of being loved can snap me out of spiralling down.”

 

As with the broader album’s output, Remember My Love was tracked by Diesel on his own, later bringing in Lee Moloney on drums (“to add some more weight”, as Diesel puts it). Starting with an 808 drum pattern heard in its verses, Remember My Love grew continuously over the space of a few days, resulting in the eerie yet bright track ultimately heard on the album that is also brought to stunning life today via its accompanying music video. “The music video for Remember My Love was shot by my daughter Lily Lizotte and edited by Blake Fraser, who worked on the multi-award-winning Patricia Moore series,” shares Diesel. “For the video, I thought it would be a good fit to return to where I remember writing most of the song, which is down by the nearby ports where I spend a lot of time decompressing. With a wide open horizon leading west, the sunsets are always vivid.”

 

Recently showcasing his enigmatic live show as part of his solo Forever Tour, including a sold out performance at the Sydney Opera House, Diesel’s upcoming performances in the latter half of 2024 will feature a three-piece band along with a celebration of the talented artist’s abundant back catalogue – including, of course, the tour’s titular release Bootleg Melancholy. “17 albums in, I’m probably not second guessing as much about the process,” shares Diesel. “My experiences working with other artists collaborating has really rubbed off on what I make too. I’ve had a lot of really positive feedback from people on this record, especially after making and releasing 2 albums during the pandemic, it’s affirming to get peoples reaction first-hand in real life!”

 

“Having so much material to draw from is a nice problem,” Diesel adds. “My band have been good at reminding me of songs and albums that I may have neglected for no particular reason. Having a new piece of the puzzle in Bootleg Melancholy will help shape the set. I can already see songs from other albums “putting up their hands” to be in the set, as I’ve found new songs will evoke feelings and parallel lines to older songs. We make quite a bit of sound it’s been said for a three-piece band and these shows coming up won’t be an exception, I really enjoy the juxtapose of playing band shows, and the same could be said for solo shows, I’m pretty blessed to have both!”

 

One of Australia’s greatest success stories, the American-born Diesel, aka Mark Lizotte, has spent three decades weaving his one-of-a-kind musical magic into his rock and blues-fuelled sounds, both as part of the band Johnny Diesel & The Injectors and, more recently, as a solo artist. With multiple #1 ARIA charting albums under his belt, six ARIA award wins and millions of streams alongside a legion of fans, Diesel’s creative skillset also expands beyond his own projects, with the talented artist also renowned for his work as a producer and multi-instrumentalist. And good news for Diesel fans and music lovers in general out there – the man himself is primed for some exciting upcoming creative endeavours alongside his impending tour, as he concludes, “It’s pretty normal for me to start writing another body of songs and start the recording process for another album, and I’ve been doing just that, in between shooting eps for an upcoming TV series where I get to interview music artists and shine a light on concerts and the stories behind them. Even though I’m a working musician, I’m still a fan and love talking music with anyone whose interest is piqued!”
