Rising festival really kicked off this week honoring the great Gil Scott-Heron, with an amazing performance by Brian Jackson and Yasiin Bey on stage at the Forum theatre on a cold Thursday night. A sold out show had the theatre packed from wall to wall with eager fans of poetry, spoken word and hip hop origins.
