Review: Blanc De Blanc

Blanc De Blanc

Spiegletent Melbourne

Perched atop a car park rooftop in Latrobe street, the Speiglehouse is tonight host to Blanc De Blance: Encore. Entering the venue is like walking into a hidden world where the anticipation of what is to come hangs in the air, heavy with promise.  The anticipation is almost palatable as the audience take their seats, a single bottle of champagne sits silent on the stage.

Erupting onto the stage our hosts Alex and Ruby, who garner laughs the moment they open their mouths. The show centers around champagne with acts that are burlesque, comedy, aerial and acrobatics.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.  And welcome to the Melbourne SpiegelHouse.
This is Alexander. And I’m Ruby, and tonight, we are your hosts….Well, world classed artists will perform beats of  high spectacles. And low pleasure.”  The show begins, setting the expectations high.

Aerial artist Dwoira Galilea is both graceful and powerful as she glides through the air, her body the perfect example of control and strength. She is suspended above the audience, spinning  and moving with grace. Watching her, the audience holds their breath as she demonstrates perfect aerial control.

Sunny Zhurba brings a singing voice that must have been gifted to her from the Gods, she is sultry, sexy and magnetic. She knows how to work an audience, drawing everyone in with interaction and attitude. Singing  a sultry rendition of Eartha Kitt’s classic ” Champagne Taste” she works her way through the crowd, teasing the male audience members as she croons:

Do you wanna take me cruising on an ocean liner to places I long to see?
Well, with my champagne taste and your beer bottle pockets
Don’t forget to write me when you get there in your row-boat
When you’ve paddled across the sea without me

Misha Mihoa, the Ukrainian performer wows the audience with his act, giving hyper mobility a whole new meaning. As he moves his body, almost dislocating joints the audience gape and gasp at how he manages to make his limbs do things that are other worldly. With a spine that seems to be made of rubber he moves in ways that will make you squeal.

Peter Holoda suspends himself from a large pole, performing an aerial act that is nothing short of sheer perfection- his lines are clean and his strength on display. As he performs different maneuvers he demonstrates his skill with ease. His Chinese pole routine is breathtaking to watch, his ability to make it look effortless is admirable.

The whole Aesthetic leans into a 1920s Parisian champagne-soaked fantasy that for the duration of the show, the audience is immersed fully into the world of glamour, burlesque and beauty.  Each performer takes you on a personal journey, Alex at the helm giving a little French flavor to the show. It’s a wonderful show that entertains the audience in ways that shock, awe and at times leaver you almost in tears with laughter. Blanc De Blanc is a tour de force and a show that is so memorable seeing it once is not enough, it is simply brilliant.

BOB EVANS ANNOUNCES 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR OF ‘SUBURBAN SONGBOOK’ SET TO PERFORM 2006 ALBUM IN FULL THIS SEP + OCT

A profound and timeless collection of songs from one of Australia’s most beloved singer-songwriters, Bob Evans’ 2006 sophomore album Suburban Songbook remains a critical and commercial success story two decades beyond its release. And fittingly in 2026, Bob Evans today announces a national headline tour for the 20th Anniversary of Suburban Songbook, set to perform the record in its entirety with full band this September and October, along with a special 20th Anniversary Edition of Suburban Songbook available digitally and on vinyl on September 4.

Tickets for Bob Evans’ 20th Anniversary Tour of Suburban Songbook are on-sale now from bobevans.com.au.

An album that would pave the way for an enduring and luminary legacy, Suburban Songbook also played a pivotal role in showcasing the boundless sonic palette of Bob Evans, aka Kevin Mitchell. Renowned at the time for his tenure as frontman for alt-rockers Jebediah, Kevin adopted the pseudonym Bob Evans and released the debut album Suburban Kid in 2003, before penning the groundbreaking Suburban Songbook in Perth, and recording the album in Nashville with producer Brad Jones.

“When I think back to going to Nashville in 2005 to make the record and the whole two years that followed the album’s release, it does feel like a whole other life almost,” Bob Evans muses, looking back at Suburban Songbook two decades after its release. “I was coming fresh out of 10 years with Jebediah and even though I had been working on the Bob Evans thing for a while, it was always a side project that was never very serious.  But with Suburban Songbook things were getting much more serious, both creatively and professionally. I guess when I think back to that time, I see a someone who is still a kid but not for very much longer. It was very much a transitional time of my life. I feel way older now!”

Leaning into folk-pop and acoustic territory as Bob Evans, it would be Suburban Songbook that cemented the multi-faceted artist as a gifted and engrossing storyteller, weaving personal and relatable anecdotes into breezy but poignant cuts laden with pop, country and charm, including on the album’s breakout hit single Don’t You Think It’s Time. Taking home the 2006 ARIA Music Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album, Suburban Songbook would go on to be certified Gold, debut at #16 on the ARIA Album charts, tick off a nomination for Australian Album of the Year at triple j’s 2006 J Awards, and in 2010 it was also listed in the book 100 Best Australian Albums compiled by music journalists Toby Creswell, Craig Mathiesonand John O’Donnell.

“It was a really special time in my life,” shares Bob of the making of Suburban Songbook. “I was writing and demoing songs kind of in secret for a couple of years and was feeling hugely inspired, but the music was quite different to what had come before, both for Bob and definitely for Jebs.”

“I felt so free and like anything was possible,” Bob continues, “which is an amazing mindset to be in when you are trying to create stuff. I remember feeling ambitious on a creative level, not a professional one. I was listening to a lot of Beatles and Beach Boys records and thinking, these guys wrote their masterpieces before they turned 30 and I was in my mid to late 20’s. I felt like I needed to push myself and really reach for the stars because I was at an age where all my heroes were doing their best stuff.  I’m not suggesting anything other than that is just where my head was at. I wasn’t trying to emulate Brian Wilson or John Lennon or anything. I just felt inspired to push myself as far as I could and see what I was capable of. The more I sort of went down that road the more exciting it was and I was enjoying the process so much and felt like what I was doing might be special, but I didn’t really know what other people would think.”

Alongside Nowhere Without You, Suburban Songbook gifted an assortment of effortlessly charming moments, including the jangly Nowhere Without You, the Beatles-esque Don’t Walk Alone and the winsome twang of Sadness & Whiskey; all of which will be witnessed live in action in 2026 across the country, with both fans and Bob Evans himself set to revisit some of these songs live in action for the first time in years.

“I’m really excited to revisit this album and all the songs that kind of fell off the setlist over the years,” shares Bob. “For example, a song like “Don’t Walk Alone” is one that I barely ever played again once the album tour had finished but it is one of my favourite songs on the album. It’s just one that doesn’t translate well solo. I’ve assembled a really wonderful group of players for this tour and so recreating the album with a full band will be awesome.  I’m also excited to see how the record still resonates with people after so long.”

With the upcoming tour set to celebrate Suburban Songbook “in full, in order, with a cracking band and some extras”, as Bob reveals, an extra piece of the album’s milestone will also unveil in 2026, with a special 20th anniversary edition of Suburban Songbook set for release on Friday 4 September. Pre-sales for the vinyl and digital 20th anniversary edition are on-sale now from bobevans.com.au, with the vinyl version pressed in a limited edition ‘gold nugget’ colour. Additionally, the digital version will be remastered and inclusive of several never-before-released demos, as Bob elaborates, “One thing that might interest some people is that with the digital streaming version of the anniversary re-release I am putting up all the demos of songs that never made the record. These are the authentic 4 track versions made in the back sunroom of my little Perth rental between 2003 and 2006. They are raw to say the least!!”

Don’t miss your chance to experience one of the most beloved Australian albums of all time this September and October with Bob Evans primed to take the Suburban Songbook 20th Anniversary Tour around the country.

Tickets for Bob Evans’ 20th Anniversary Tour of Suburban Songbook are on-sale now from bobevans.com.au.

Live Review: VICTORIA K

Victoria K
Leadbeater Hotel, Melbourne
Saturday June 13
Dressed in chain mail and a long black skirt, her raven hair flowing Victoria K is the epitome of goth metal. As she writhes, throwing her hair back and forth, she is here to get the attention of the audience at Leadbeater. The rain outside is cold and damp, but the atmosphere is charged inside as fans listen, completely captivated.  Having recently released a new track “Oh So Weary”  from the upcoming third album “The Pleasure Of Sorrow”, dedicated fans have come together to celebrate the release.
Warming up the crowd are locals, She Weaves Grotesqueries,  Beautiful Bedlam and Binary Pulse, the latter delivering a beautiful rendition of Massive Attack’s ” Teardrop” , a beautiful song in it’s own right, sounding almost ethereal in it’s delivery.
Having been awarded a beautiful rendition of Madonna’s “Frozen” a heavy rendition of the iconic 1998 ballad, which works surprisingly well and is probably the highlight of the show. Veronika’s voice is suited to the track and it gives a new lease of life on a song that at it’s core is poetically melancholic. Playing the debut single towards the end of the set is a smart move, and the audience rewards the band with thunderous applause and calls for ” One more song” to which the band responds- ” Come to more of our shows”.

It is without a doubt that this band are on their way to bigger and better things, and a crowd that is reluctant to leave long after the final note is testament to this. As the rain pelted down outside, the show has delighted dedicated fans and won over new adorers in this band room in Richmond.

News: RED HOT SUMMER TOUR TO CREATE MUSIC HISTORY

TUESDAY 16TH JUNE 2026
The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR will take place in 2026, featuring Australian Crawl alongside Men At Work. The lineup includes Birds of Tokyo, Vika & Linda, Eskimo Joe, Boom Crash Opera, and Ella Hooper.

James Reyne, Simon Binks, and David Reyne will perform together for the first time in over 40 years, joined by John Watson (’83-’86), Brett Kingman, Josh Owen, Andrew McIvor, Sean Johnson, Melinda Jackson, and Nicole Kurta. Australian Crawl, formed in 1978, is known for numerous chart hits in their career until disbanding in 1986.

Men At Work, formed in Melbourne in 1979, are known for hits including ‘Down Under’, ‘Who Can It Be Now’, and ‘Overkill’. They disbanded in 1985 but have continued to perform since.

James Reyne says We ran our own shows on the Pen and a following grew.  One can only shake one’s head at the sometimes wonderful inventions of folly in all its guises and forms for the trip was a blast; such fun and high spirits were had that upon return we decided we should perhaps give this thing a year, before we returned to our studies; just to see what happens.  What a ride.”

Simon Binks stated “I’m looking forward to this upcoming celebration of Australian Crawl. Who would have thought that this far down the track three original members would be sharing the same stage once again.”

David Reyne commented “Back in 1979, a bunch of us from the beaches of the Mornington Peninsula twanged some guitars, banged some drums, blended together some tunes and played a gig or two for the local board riders’ club. They swung from the rafters, stomped the floorboards and drank an Army’s worth of beer.  Buoyed by the reaction, we loaded the gear into the back of a couple of old Holdens and plied our noise all the way up the East Coast. It was a riot. Each night a howling, joyous, sunburnt shindig. Australian Crawl was born.  What a delight it will be to do it all again with those of us from the original gang who haven’t yet propped permanently at Heaven’s Bar.”

Formed in Melbourne in 1979 and best known for breakthrough hits such as ‘Down Under’, ‘Who Can It Be Now’, ‘Be Good Johnny’, ‘Overkill’, and ‘It’s a Mistake’, Men At Work achieved global success as a Grammy-winning, multi-platinum selling act before disbanding in 1985.

“The first two Men At Work records went crazy,” Colin reflects. “And when you have success like that, the dust never really settles. I learned only through time and experience, not to compete with my past, but embrace it, and let it live with me…. not in the main house of course, but in the casita down the back yard.”

Responding to demand, Colin Hay and Greg Ham continued to tour the world as Men At Work from 1996 into the 2000s. Sadly, Greg Ham passed away in 2012. Founding member Colin Hay has developed a solo career over the last 35 years, writing, recording, and touring extensively throughout the world as a solo artist. He is presently part of Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band.

Since 2019, he has also toured and played under the Men At Work banner with his formidably talented group of LA based musicians, where he plays an exclusively Men At Work set, including all the hits and dearly loved songs which have clearly stood the test of time.

“My favourite Men At Work tour was the summer of 1981, when our stars were in ascension, and we hugged the coast of eastern Australia, and the west from memory.  I very much look forward to returning, 45 years on, to join the Red Hot Summer Tour 2026, to share the stage with old friends and new, and play those songs again, for all those who want to hear them!”

Formed in Perth in the early 2000’s, Birds of Tokyo  have grown from independent roots to become one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands.

Since their 2008 breakthrough Universes, all five of the group’s albums have reached the ARIA top 3 including two #1 hits: March Fires (2013) and Human Design (2021). Classic songs like “Good Lord”, “Plans”, “Lanterns”, “Two Of Us”, “Brace” and “Unbreakable” have all been top 10 airplay hits and more than seventy of their tracks have featured on Triple J, making them one of the National Youth Broadcaster’s three most played artists of this millennium. The band has also won the APRA Award for “Most Performed Rock/Alternative Work” on a record setting six separate occasions.

Epic live shows have always been at the core of their appeal. Birds Of Tokyo have played major festivals from Splendour In The Grass & Falls to Red Hot Summer and they have appeared as special guests for superstars like Muse, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Incubus and Bon Jovi.  In recent years the band has toured across Australia with the country’s most prestigious Symphony Orchestras drawing unanimous critical acclaim and selling out three nights each at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.

Vika & Linda are two of Australia’s most celebrated and enduring voices who have captivated Australian audiences with their powerful harmonies and magnetic stage presence.  From their Tongan roots singing in church to global tours with The Black Sorrows, the sisters have released nine studio albums, topped charts, written an autobiography, and collaborated with legends like Paul Kelly and Kasey Chambers. Inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and awarded the OAM for their service to music, Vika & Linda are revered for their genre-spanning versatility and soul-stirring performances. With enduring influence and boundless energy, they remain one of Australia’s most treasured and trailblazing vocal duos.

Their stunning new album, Where Do You Come From? is a record that marks the sisters’ emergence as powerful songwriters in their own right, it is the most personal and revealing body of work in their nearly four-decade career.  After a lifetime of lending their voices to the stories of others, this record marks a moment of stepping forward, the sisters telling their own story in full; a widescreen work that spans identity, ancestry, motherhood, ageing, grief, joy, and the grounding presence of water.

As Eskimo Joe enter their 29th year, there are no signs of slowing down.

With their latest single ‘Miracle Cure’ gaining huge radio support nation-wide and the band continuing to remain one of Australia’s favourite live bands, Eskimo Joe are still as vital as ever.

Their countless worldwide shows, 6 studio albums, 35 ARIA nominations for 8 wins and nearing 1 million records sold are among the plethora of achievements that the band continues to add to. Their songs have become staples of Australian radio, and their live performances, from packed festival stages to intimate theatre shows, continue to captivate audiences with their power, precision, and emotional honesty.

Three decades on, Eskimo Joe remain one of Australia’s most loved and enduring bands; a testament to the staying power of great songs, true friendship, and the undeniable magic of music.

These here are crazy times. But Boom Crash Opera is one band you can rely upon.

The producer of their debut album told them: “The most important thing a group can do is stay together. Keep it together and you can do anything you want.”

Boom Crash Opera took those words to heart, proudly becoming one of Australia’s most-loved bands, with 13 Top 50 singles and five Top 50 albums. As founding member Peter Farnan says, “We sounded like our name.” It’s an intoxicating mix of indie pop and stadium rock, with unforgettable hits such as ‘Great Wall’, ‘Hands Up In The Air’, ‘City Flat’, ‘Onion Skin’ ‘Get Out Of The House’, ‘The Best Thing’ and ‘Dancing In The Storm’.  Nearly four decades after the band began, the start of ‘Onion Skin’ remains an irresistible rallying cry: Keep it in! Cut it out! Kick it out!

With a magnetic stage presence, dynamic vocals and unmistakable offbeat charm, Ella Hooper is one of Australia’s most beloved — and delightfully unpredictable — performers.  As frontwoman of rock phenomenon Killing Heidi, Ella became the first woman and youngest-ever recipient of APRA’s Songwriter of the Year award and has a swag of ARIA Awards to her name. A full-spectrum entertainer, she’s also a familiar face on Australian TV and radio, proving her mettle on shows like Spicks & Specks and RocKwiz. Now firmly in her solo era, Ella is embracing a rich country/Americana sound infused with heart, humour and a distinctly regional flavour. Ella Hooper is a captivating live performer not to be missed.

ABOUT SUBLIME
Sublime, the Long Beach, CA reggae-punk/alternative rock trio, was founded in 1988 by Eric Wilson, Bud Gaugh and Bradley Nowell. They released their first self-produced album, 40oz. to Freedom, in 1992 via Skunk Records. Heavy radio exposure on Southern California’s KROQ (two years after its initial release) landed the band a deal with Gasoline Alley Records, an imprint of MCA. 1994’s Robbin’ the Hood revealed an experimental ethic more in keeping with the cut-and-paste dub than the well-tuned rage of the Cali punk revival. The album performed well at college radio and set the stage for the breakout success of their self-titled third album. On May 25, 1996, however, Bradley Nowell tragically passed away and the band collapsed, but Universal went ahead with the release of their eponymous album in July of 1996.

Their self-titled album went 5x Platinum, fueled by enduring hits like “What I Got,” “Santeria,” and “Wrong Way,” and helped propel the band to more than 18 million RIAA-certified album sales. A new era began in late 2023 when Bradley’s son, Jakob Nowell, joined original members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson onstage, leading to a full reunion and acclaimed performances at Coachella 2024.

2026 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for Sublime as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking 1996 self-titled album with two special nights at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre (April 17-18), marking the kickoff of a year-long celebration honoring the classic 1996 album. The Grammy Museum will be honoring the self-titled album with an exhibit titled ‘Sublime: Straight From Long Beach,’ running from March 27 – September 7, and will feature artifacts including handwritten lyrics to Sublime hits such as “Wrong Way” and “Garden Grove,” Instruments and equipment used by the original Sublime lineup, rare live photos by Maggie St. Thomas and more.

Sublime will also launch their very own touring music festival debuting May 9 at the scenic Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, TX. This new event marks the beginning of a national festival series built around the timeless sound, spirit, and cultural impact of Sublime.

The band’s highly anticipated new album Until The Sun Explodes is set to be released on June 12. Sublime recently made history with the breakout single “Ensenada,” which spent 8 consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” chart, setting the record for the longest run at #1 on alternative radio in 2025. The forthcoming album marks an exciting new chapter for Sublime while honoring the legacy that has inspired fans for more than three decades. For more, please visit www.sublimelbc.com.

GRAMMY-nominated international superstar Adam Lambert releases the second musical preview from his forthcoming album, ADAM, with “UNDER THE RHYTHM.”  Offering a message of resilience, the new track samples ATC’s “Around the World (La La La La La)” and immediately transports listeners into Lambert’s dark sonic world. Directed by Angela Ricciardi, the music video unfolds inside a surreal labyrinth, a liminal black-and-white world that mirrors the euphoric disorientation of a night out. Inspired by the 90’s experimental image-making of Nick Knight, who shot the ADAM album cover, the “UNDER THE RHYTHM” music video blends high fashion, elevated performance, and psychological tension into an immersive fever dream that follows Lambert’s journey from restriction to liberation through surrender to the rhythm. Stream the song and watch the music video HERE.

‘UNDER THE RHYTHM’ is a song about overcoming life’s hardships through the connective and healing power of music, ” said Lambert. “It encourages the listener to keep pushing forward, one day at a time, one dance at a time, toward joy.”

This new single release follows the “alluring” (Billboard) and “powerful” (NME) desire-driven track EAT U ALIVE that was released last month to critical acclaim.  Featuring an infectious, high-energy chorus and dripping with insatiable primal desire, “EAT U ALIVE” shines a spotlight on Lambert’s powerhouse vocal abilities and first introduced listeners to the dark industrial texture that will come to define much of the  forthcoming album. Shot in Paris and directed by Vitalii Akimov, the track’s hyper-contemporary music video is an artful capture of the tension-filled song’s dark pop edge and was first premiered by Purple Fashion Magazine.

Lambert’s sixth studio album, ADAM, is set for release on Friday, July 10 via his own label/distributed via The Orchard (pre-save now). Largely inspired by the 90s alternative and electronica, ADAM expertly blends multiple genres to create something timeless. Featuring artwork by renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight and executive produced by Pete Nappi (Jon Bellion, Jon Batiste, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams), the self-titled LP features 12 diverse new songs and marks a fully realized exploration into all facets of Lambert’s humanity and otherworldly artistry.

"Finally back again, possibly Germany’s finest death metal band!" 9/10 POWERMETAL DE

"Everything from the cover art to older school production values / tones speaks volumes for Fleshcrawl’s everlasting commitment to their ways – unyielding, authentic, resolute to keep their style on the map. Long-timers have their favorites if they’ve been into Fleshcrawl since those early 90s efforts – so Epitome of Carnage won’t disappoint that following. This record could also introduce a younger generation unfamiliar with this group – and if so, they have dropped in at just the right time, as the performances, songwriting, and overall chemistry showcases a quintet not ready to throw in the towel just yet." 8.5/10 DEAD RHETORIC USA

"With "Epitome of Carnage", FLESHCRAWL delivers a focused, no-frills death metal record that balances old-school brutality with tight, experienced songwriting. Relentless pace, heavy grooves, and occasional doom-laden moments keep things varied without losing impact. A solid, forceful statement from a seasoned band still operating at full strength!"
8.5/10 HEADBANGERS AUSTRALIA

"Many veterans release solid albums these days that play through nicely and then immediately gather dust on the shelf. Epitome of Carnage, however, sticks with you. Because of its riffs. Because of its atmosphere. Because of this constant blend of frenzy and heaviness. And because not for a single second does the band try to chase any trend. FLESHCRAWL simply do exactly what they have mastered for decades — only better, more focused, and angrier than ever!"
9.5/10 – ZEPHYRS ODEM DE

FLESHCRAWL unveil a torrent of ferocious bloodshed, chaos and power in their tenth studio album, Epitome of Carnage, out now via Distortion Music Group (DMG) – Powered by Reigning Phoenix Music. Accompanying the full length release is a rampage of gloom in the new music video for ‘Chapel Of Guts’.

On ‘Chapel Of Guts’ FLESHCRAWL share, "with ‘Chapel of Guts’ we wanted to showcase the full spectrum of our sound. This track stands out from our more classic Swedish Death Metal tracks, making it the perfect contrast to the other singles and the album as a whole. It’s a short break from the more straight-forward tracks, offering a more dark contrast."

"It digs a bit deeper into the Fleshcrawl roots, combining heavy, doomy passages with intense blast beats and a lot of dynamics. It captures that darker atmosphere we wanted to have on the record. It is Death Metal with a room to breathe and then to choke."

On the writing process the band explain, "We didn’t force it into a specific direction; we just let the track develop its own flow and energy during the writing process."

A foreboding darkness awaits in ‘Chapel Of Guts’. A haunting, enveloping atmosphere swells and hurriedly subsides as the pace increases and intensity rises. As the heaviness ebbs and flows through chaos, it’s ferocious brutality leaves nothing in its wake

The long-awaited Epitome of Carnage is constructed on the foundation of an expansive career. FLESHCRAWL remain devoted to the death metal genre despite having encountered loss and change along the way. As the tenth full-length release, the new album stands as testament to FLESHCRAWL‘s unwavering creativity and drive. Arriving seven years after 2019’s Into the Catacombs of Flesh, Epitome of Carnage reveals a renewed vigor and power that bleeds through the track list.

Contained within Epitome of Carnage are twelve vicious onslaughts that showcase FLESHCRAWL‘s unimpeded speed and power. Materializing alongside demonstrations of inescapable heaviness, explosive riffs, and melodic touches amongst the shadows, they leave behind no survivors.

Track Listing:
1. Blood Dominion
2. Chapel of Guts

About FLESHCRAWL:

FLESHCRAWL was founded in the spring of 1987 in Illertissen, Germany, by Stefan Hanus and Bastian Herzog. Initially operating under the name Morgöth, the band adopted a markedly more extreme musical direction in 1990 and briefly performed as Suffocation. However, with the emergence of the American band of the same name and their impending vinyl debut, another name change became necessary. Thus, FLESHCRAWL was born.

Through decades of evolution, challenges, and perseverance, FLESHCRAWL has remained steadfast in its mission: delivering uncompromising, traditional death metal with authenticity, power, and unwavering conviction. In 2020, with a completely renewed and revitalized guitar lineup, the band entered the first songwriting sessions for their tenth studio album.

On June 11th, 2021, long-time vocalist Sven “Svenson” Gross passed away after a courageous battle with cancer that lasted over a year. His loss was a profound tragedy, deeply felt by his family, friends, and the entire FLESHCRAWL community. Despite this immense personal and professional blow, stepping back from their mission in death metal was never an option. The band began the search for a new voice to carry their legacy forward, and on October 15th, 2021, Borisz Sarafutgyinov was officially announced as FLESHCRAWL’s new and permanent frontman, ushering in a new chapter for the band.

Songwriting continued steadily throughout 2023, 2024, and into 2025, while the band maintained a strong live presence, performing at further renowned events such as Metal Gate Czech Deathfest, Hell over Aschaffenburg, Nice to Eat You Deathfest, Eindhoven Metal Meeting, Bucharest Deathfest, Heidelberg Metal Meeting, Braincrusher in Hell, Sick Midsummer, and the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise.

By 2025, songwriting for the successor to Into the Catacombs of Flesh (2019) was nearing completion. The band found a strong and capable new partner in Reigning Phoenix Music, securing a new label home for the release of Epitome of Carnage. In November 2025 FLESHCRAWL signed a worldwide deal with DMG.
