![]() ![]() BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: THE FRAY ANNOUNCE A MASSIVE HEADLINE AUSTRALIAN RETURN FOLLOWING 2025’s SOLD-OUT TOUR FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MONDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2026: Following a sold-out six-date Australian tour in 2025, multi-platinum alternative rock band The Fray will make their highly anticipated return Down Under in February 2027 for the Summer of Light Tour. The run will span indoor and outdoor venues across Australia and will also mark the band’s first-ever performance in New Zealand. For all shows, fans can sign up for first access to artist pre-sale tickets, which begins on Tuesday 15th September at 10.00am (local time). General public ticket sales will start on Thursday 17th September at 10:00am (local time). TEG Live presents the four indoor shows which will feature beloved special guests, Dashboard Confessional and Australian artist, Rachael Fahim. The tour kicks off on Friday 5th February at Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne and continues to Waves, Wollongong (*The Fray only), Hordern Pavilion, Sydney and finishes up in New Zealand at Eventfinda, Auckland. FACE TO FACE TOURING presents the four outdoor shows as part of the next Lookout Festival series. The Fray will be supported by one hell of a line-up which will include British indie pop favourites, Bastille, along with Dashboard Confessional, and local alternative rockers, Killing Heidi (*not performing in Perth) and Little Birdy. This portion of the tour begins Saturday 6th February at Torquay Common, Torquay before heading over to Kings Park & Botanic Garden, Perth then Speers Point Park, Lake Macquarie and then onto Sandstone Point Hotel, Sandstone Point. The Summer of Light Tour ushers in the next chapter for The Fray ahead of the release of A Light That Waits, the band’s first full-length body of new music in over a decade and their first as the core trio of Joe King, Dave Welsh and Ben Wysocki. “We had such an incredible time touring in Australia in 2025. The energy from those crowds was unbelievable” says The Fray’s Joe King. “To come back and be able to share ‘A Light That Waits’ alongside the songs fans have grown up with—and to have our long-time friends Dashboard Confessional with us—is going to make these nights unforgettable.” Rising to prominence in the early 2000s, The Fray defined a generation’s airwaves. Over their career, they have earned four GRAMMY® Award nominations, three Billboard Music Awards, and a permanent place in pop-culture history. Their breakout single, “How to Save a Life,” is RIAA Diamond-certified, spent a historic 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, and became a global cultural touchstone as the definitive anthem of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. Joining them on this tour (*except Wollongong) is alternative rockers Dashboard Confessional. Led by the raw, tender songwriting of Chris Carrabba, the band continues an artistic resurgence following their critically acclaimed ninth studio album, All The Truth That I Can Tell. With the 2025 tour selling out completely, tickets for these highly anticipated summer dates are expected to move rapidly. Fans are strongly encouraged to register for pre-sale access early to secure their tickets. Tickets and info at thefray.com/tour. The album’s title track will be released January 23, marking the band’s first full-length body of new music in years and signalling a renewed creative era defined by emotional clarity and cinematic songwriting. The multi-Platinum-selling band, composed of lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Joe King, guitarist Dave Welsh, and drummer Ben Wysocki, rose to prominence in the early 2000s with a soul-searching alt-rock sound that was both expansive and intimate. Over the course of their career, The Fray have earned four GRAMMY Award nominations, three Billboard Music Awards, multiple Billboard Top 10 hits, and a devoted global fanbase. Their breakout single, “How to Save a Life,” is RIAA Diamond-certified, spent 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, and became a defining anthem through its association with ABC’s Emmy-winning series Grey’s Anatomy. Praised by Rolling Stone for their “stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives” and by the Los Angeles Times for their “melodically rich” songwriting, the band’s 2005 debut album How to Save a Life is RIAA-certified 4x Platinum in the U.S. and remains one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time. In support of A Light That Waits, The Fray launched the Summer of Light Tour across North America in 2026 with special guest Dashboard Confessional.
