Fierce, fiery and full of flavour, Polish Brussels-based artist JoBee Project teams up with Belgian electronic producer Solemn Eye to turn up the heat with an alternative-electro single ‘Burning Sense’.
‘Burning Sense’ is an ode to previous heart breaks and burn-out love stories. The single is about getting burnt in life and learning lessons along the way, further reinforcing that despite it all, she is ready to begin all over again. It was designed to reignite some beginning of summer vibes ac- companied with out-of-this-world visuals perfectly fit for this spellbinding single.
With this single JoBee goes in a slightly different direction, the vocal powerhouse taps more into her delicate side than in the previous album ‘The Blossoming,’ showcasing her strength and gloss with minimalism.
On the single, JoBee said, “This song is a bridge to the new sounds of me, it’s raw and more deli- cate. It shows the multi-facets of my personality and the growth I have experienced from life,”
JoBee has been creeping up the sidelines of the scene for a hot minute but now with the release of her upcoming album ‘The Beginning’ due to drop in September JoBee is set to turn heads and showcase her raw talent.
To date JoBee has released three albums, with each showcasing her versatility as she embraces a variety of melodies and rhythms with her no-nonsense attitude. With an inherent passion for mu- sic JoBee is excited to build a new chapter of sounds with the release of her forthcoming album ‘The Beginning’.
Embracing an essence of positivity, Ann King returns with a hauntingly beautiful heart-felt single “I Wouldn’t Mind”.
The infectious Pop/RNB tune is filled with influences of Dance and delves into the dynamics of heart-break and loving someone unconditionally and even if it all comes crashing down. It is about living life to the fullest, getting through the ups-and-downs even though life and especially when loving someone can really hurt.
On the single Ann said, “It is about living without regret and making memories to hold dear to your heart for the rest of your life, even if the person you made them with isn’t around anymore,”
“When people listen to the single, I want them to live the life they have always dreamed of and love with your heart wide open. Heart-break hurts but you can always get back up. Cherish the memories you made and don’t regret a thing you will be okay and you will come back stronger,”
Ann’s visuals tell an interesting story, she has synesthesia, which means she see colours when she hears music. This is why she colour codes her music videos, as shown with her first single ‘Heading’ it was mostly blue with pink. For ‘I Wouldn’t Mind’ it changed, she
saw almost every part of the song in a different colour. For this video the verses were orange, the first chorus is blue with yellow, the second chorus is red with dark blue, the bridge is red and the last chorus is black with red and orange. So you can experience the colours that she hears.
The single is the second release from Ann, with her first single ‘Heading’ garnering love from tastemakers across the globe. The two tracks will feature in her upcoming album‘Fake Flowers’ which is slated for release in January 2020 promising addictive pop grooves accompanied by dance and R&B elements.

Written By Wolves are undoubtedly one of the most exciting rock bands to burst out of New Zealand in recent years. The fresh and progressive cinematic rock five-piece have spent the past three years perfecting their sound, live show and their international fan base and have grown their Spotifystreams to over 13 million worldwide. Today the band are unleashing their brand new single and video, “Tell Me What You’re Running From?”. The track is available everywhere from http://hyperurl.co/TMWYRF.
“Tell Me What You’re Running From?” gives fans a first taste of how far the band have progressed their signature genre-bending blend of Rock, Pop, Alternative and Electronic music and tackles themes of inner turmoil and staying true to oneself. Vocalist Michael Murphy explains that the track “is all about fighting your own demons and being honest with yourself about what is holding you back in life. It intertwines fear of failure and fear of success and ultimately talks about no matter what the short term gain in running away from your demons may be, it will never fix them in the long run.”
The music clip sees the band reunite with critically acclaimed LA director, Josh Mabie, who previously worked with the band on their video for “To Tell You The Truth”, which reached over 2 million YouTube views. The clip compliments the notion behind the track with a visual aspect featuring two people juxtaposed against each other, fighting and running from their double until they finally face their pursuer and conflict ceases, representing that the only way to conquer your demons is to confront them.
Written By Wolves are the highest streamed rock band from New Zealand, having amassed more than 125,000 monthly listeners, over 52,000 subscribers and 10 million views on YouTube as well as receiving three Highly Commended Awards in the prestigious International Song Writing Competition for previous singles “Not Afraid To Die”, “Genius” and “Timebombs”.
Renowned for their highly energetic live show, the band have already shared the stage with international heavyweights such as Machine Gun Kelly, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Sublime With Rome, Suicidal Tendencies, Hed PE, Falling In Reverse, Escape The Fate, We The Kings, Four Year Strong, Stevie Stone, Kehlani and have just finished back-to-back tours with two of New Zealand’s biggest Rock bands – Devilskin and Blindspott.
Written By Wolves have teased fans with this beastly first single, stay tuned for what’s to come. “Tell Me What You’re Running From?” is out now on all digital stores and streaming platforms athttp://hyperurl.co/TMWYRF.

They’ll be joined by very special guest Rick Astley at all February & March 2020 shows, taking in Sydney, Melbourne, and Christchurch, as well as a day on the green events in Australia and New Zealand.
“We have so many great memories of our Australian tour of 1986 and look forward to making new ones. And we can’t wait to play in New Zealand for the first time – we’ll be comparing your fjords with our Norwegian ones!” – Paul Waaktaar-Savoy
a-ha will be performing their seminal debut album Hunting High And Low in full to celebrate its 35th anniversary as well as other favourites from across their career.
Selling more than 11 million copies worldwide, it includes the unforgettable ‘Take On Me’, which reached #1 on the Australian charts, as well as follow-up hits ‘The Sun Always Shines On TV’, ‘Train Of Thought’ and the title track, ‘Hunting High And Low’.
Joining a-ha to cement this tour as a pop extravaganza is another superstar who dominated the ’80s, Mr ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, Rick Astley. Also enjoying a major career resurgence, the British star has sold more than 40 million albums, fuelled by hits like the monster ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, ‘Whenever You Need Somebody’, ‘Together Forever’, ‘When I Fall In Love’, ‘She Wants To Dance With Me’ and ‘Cry For Help’. In 2007, Rick Astley became an internet phenomenon as the subject of a viral meme known as ‘Rick-rolling’, with ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ garnering millions of hits on YouTube as a result, introducing him to a whole new audience.
Still so unique decades on, the music video for a-ha’s ‘Take On Me’ won six MTV Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, was nominated for Grammy and American Music Awards and is approaching one billion views on YouTube. The song has been covered by artists as diverse as Metallica, Madonna, Tori Amos, and most recently, Weezer, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on The Tonight Show.
“Australia was the country we played our first ever live concerts and was our first brush with worldwide fame. It was a thrilling adventure to be there on the opposite side of the world and it’s a thrill to return in 2020 – finally we will be back where it all started!”
– Mags Furuholmen
a-ha, the Norwegian trio who dominated pop charts worldwide during the ’80s, still regularly play stadiums and festivals. Singer Morten Harket, keyboardist Mags Furuholmen and guitarist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy have sold more than 55 million albums and remain one of the UK and Europe’s most loved pop bands. Alongside ‘Take On Me’, the trio have scored global hits with the James Bond theme ‘The Living Daylights’, ‘Cry Wolf’, ‘I’ve Been Losing You’ and 2005 Max Martin collaboration ‘Analogue’. Their most recent release was a 2017 MTV Unplugged collection featuring collaborations with Echo & The Bunnymen’s Ian McCulloch and Alison Moyet.
a-ha have fans in some of music’s brightest lights – U2’s Adam Clayton, Morrissey, Robbie Williams, Pet Shop Boys, Kanye West – the list goes on. Coldplay’s Chris Martin has repeatedly referred to them as one of his “favourite bands of all time”, covering their music live and even inviting the band onstage to perform together.
Not surprisingly, a-ha can’t wait to return to Australian shores again. As they say, “There’s not one song on that album we’re not looking forward to playing live.”
‘Joyful comeback! When a-ha roll out their whoppers the atmosphere goes through the roof.’ – The Guardian
‘The spine-tingling moment when we hear Morten’s haunting high notes… ‘Hunting High And Low’ takes this surreal atmosphere up a notch and, as the audience sing along, it’s an almost spiritual experience.’ – Manchester Evening News
‘Screams of instant recognition greeted the insistent drumming and hard-to-resist keyboards of ‘Take On Me’. With Harket hitting that high note like it’s 1985, it was worth the wait.’ – Jerusalem Post
‘[Hunting High And Low is] one of the albums that have stood the test of time and still sounds great today.’ – NME
In 2016, Rick Astley released 50, his first UK #1 album since his 1987 debut and featured the smash hit ‘Angels On My Side’, marking his milestone birthday. Last year, he followed up the platinum-selling record with another wholly self-penned, performed and produced album, Beautiful Life, featuring the lead single/title track ‘Beautiful Life’, ‘Try’ and ‘She Makes Me’. Astley continued his heavy touring schedule of headline shows, festival spots, and support slots with the likes of Take That and Kylie Minogue. Check out his rendition of Calvin Harris’ ‘Giant’, filmed during his recent tour with Take That, and that time he joined Kylie on stage in London’s Hyde Park to perform ‘I Should Be So Lucky/Never Gonna Give You Up’ together!
With a treasure trove laden with shimmering pop hits, a-ha are set to thrill fans down under next year on their first ever visit to New Zealand and their first to Australia in 34 years, with very special guest Rick Astley. Tickets won’t last long!

MELBOURNE!! SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE LIVE MUSIC VENUES ARE IN TROUBLE,
BUT CLOWNS ARE HERE TO HELP!
Let’s be honest, it’s fuckin’ cold and it can be hard to find the motivation to go out. Unfortunately, due to this a lot of local music venues are doing it tougher than ever, with some even facing closure.
Clowns started their career in the nutrient rich soils of Melbourne’s local music venues, which over time has spawned four critically albums containing music that has collectively reached the ears of millions; whether it be playing live at the world’s biggest heavy music festivals in Europe, charting in the NACC American College Radio Charts or pissing off that grumpy old man next door while they play in your mates living room at a 2am house party. These institutions have provided an environment that has allowed Clowns (and many other artists) career to flourish, but unfortunately a harsh winter like this could be enough to stunt future yields for good… but we have a plan!
Introducing: Keepin’ The Dive Alive!
In an attempt to revitalise some Melbourne’s world class local venues, Clowns are giving back to the community that has supported them for so long by throwing five unique gigs at five different small venues. All you’ve got to do is rock up to a show and trade some of your cash for a few drinks of your choice at the bar.
Have a favourite Clowns record? Well, they’re playing it in full!
Want to help, but a bit skint for cash? That’s cool, there’s a free entry gig!
Under 18 years old? No stress, there’s an all ages event too!
Too cold? Trust, it won’t be front and centre of the stage.
Together, we can get through this! Tix from www.clowns.oztix.com.au

Let classic-rock nostalgia shine with Tobias Wonderdog’s first follow up single, ‘The Sun’ -out now
In October 2018, under this new moniker for the singer-songwriter Mat Weaven, Tobias Wonderdog released a number that was dynamically rich and emotionally stirring, bursting with that Australian country, light-hearted disposition.
Now, Weaven intends on shining a light on the heavier side to his music with the ‘The Sun’.
Meandering through the likes of 90’s classic-rock with a touch of country inspiration, ‘The Sun’, is a steady, laid-back track all the while maintaining a gritty and gutsy tone with classic-rock riffs and a wailing wah-pedal guitar solo.
Coated with effects over his vocals throughout the verses to elaborate the message, Weaven delves into the ever-pressing worries that build from day to day.
Being his politically outspoken self, he states, “it’s about the hopeless feeling one gets as the evil empire inches closer to our existence.”
Letting the music do the talking, ‘The Sun’ seamlessly flows from dark verses to the uplifting choruses, through an epic solo to a heartfelt, slow-burning bridge before closing out on the tracks gutsy rock-riff.
For his first follow-up release since his debut, Weaven has come through with powerful, passionate and emotionally stirring rock-track.
The debut album from Tetsuians is a re-enactment of a 60’s and 80’s narrative, set to an alternative timeline that builds a bridge between lo-fi experimentation and retro-gazing rock ’n’ roll.
After playing venues in Melbourne such as Gertrudes Brown Couch, The Corner, Greyhound Hotel, Revolver and the Brunswick Hotel, Tetsuians amassed around 40 songs which they felt could be whittled down to an album of ten tracks.
‘We’re not poets or songwriters, but we’ve pulled enough songs apart and put them together again to sort of know what we’re doing. There might be a few screws left over from the original instruction manual but they do the job’ – Trent Price, Guitar / Vocals
Having a fascination for obscure Japanese pop-culture, the name Tetsuians, derived from a Japanese dental campaign, suggested an other-worldly culture that the band could possess. A bit like extra-terrestrials that look like humans – not duplicates, but distant kin that happened to make slightly left of centre music. The self-titled album offers this and more, lead single Chump Change, blasts into you like J Mascis covering Cream, a sharp jangle of heated amps and slippery melodic swirls.
As the trio commit to life and music, they find themselves (Trent Price, guitar/vocals, Amber Craske, bass/vocals and Andrew Jackson, drums/vocals) regularly commuting between their respective homes in Melbourne and Noosa to record and play live. Their shared resolve to deny the tyranny of distance will see them launch their album via a facebook.com/tetsuians live streamed performance from the Bakehouse Studios in Melbourne on the 27th July.
For Fans Of: Superchunk | 13th Floor Elevators | The Replacements
The self-titled album is available in digital stores on 19th July.

Formed in 1985, in Phoenix, Arizona, SACRED REICH are credited with being leaders of the second wave of thrash metal in the 80’s, alongside TESTAMENT, DEATH ANGEL and DARK ANGEL. With their socially conscious and political brand of speed metal, SACRED REICH released a brutal run of albums on Metal Blade Records and Hollywood Records, notably EP’s “Draining You of Life” (1986), “Surf Nicaragua” (1988), “A Question” (1991) and album’s “Ignorance” (1987), “The American Way” (1990), “Independent” (1993), “Heal” (1996)…And…
2019 brought the much-anticipated release of the bands’ fifth studio album “Awakening” to rave reviews and the return of powerhouse Dave McClain on drums (MACHINE HEAD) to the SACRED REICH stronghold. Hardline Media are pumped to welcome back legends McLain, Phil Rind (vocals, bass), Wiley Arnett (lead guitar) and new member Joey Radziwill (rhythm guitar) for a killer run of shows down under. Don’t miss SACRED REICH prove that:
“Thrash has never really gone away… The mosh pit hoovers up the bands back catalogue and responds with a guttural almost Nordic roar.” – ORIGINAL ROCK
VIO-LENCE – FIRST TIME IN AUSTRALIA!!!
Re-united and playing their first shows in over a decade to sold out crowds, thrash legends VIO-LENCE are NOT TO BE MISSED.
Formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1985, VIO-LENCE instilled themselves as groundbreakers of the second wave of thrash with their revered 1988 album “Eternal Nightmare”. Throughout ’88 and ’89, VIO-LENCE toured the album to great success alongside thrash comrades TESTAMENT, VOIVOD, DEATH ANGEL, SANCTUARY, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, D.R.I., M.O.D. and the CRO-MAGS. In ’89, Megaforce Records/Atlantic signed the band, leading to the release of the bands’ second album “Oppressing the Masses” (1990). The band toured the album to packed crowds alongside OVERKILL, FORBIDDEN, EXODUS, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, DEFIANCE, RIGOR MORTIS and PRONG.
In 1991, VIO-LENCE released their EP “Torture Tactics” and their third studio album “Nothing to Gain”.
1993 brought the unfortunate break-up of the band, with some members splintering off to form TORQUE and MACHINE HEAD. Some 26 years later, and re-united at last as VIO-LENCE, Hardline Media are looking forward to welcoming Phil Demmel (lead guitar), Deen Dell (bass), Sean Killian (vocals), Perry Strickland (drums) and Ray Vegas (rhythm guitar) as they unleash their hefty sound and stage presence to the Aussie masses:
“I doubt I’ll see a display of audience passion and insanity comparable to what I witnessed and felt during Vio-lence‘s set in a very long time” – Rob Shepyer (JANKY SMOOTH)
This is a once in a lifetime thrash double bill down under… get pumped.
