THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA — Mike Hranica (vocals), Jeremy DePoyster (guitar, clean vocals), Kyle Sipress (guitar), Jonathan Gering (keys, synths, programming, percussion), and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums) — have been tipped by Revolver for their ability to keep fans guessing two decades deep into their career and for their willingness to experiment with their sound. It’s this fearlessness that has allowed the band to remain as vital as ever.

Now, the band is excited to announce the upcoming release of the ninth album Flowers. It arrives November 14 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here.

The band has also shared a double single: Where the Flowers Never Grow and Wave.

“Where The Flowers Never Grow is a song about the realization that no matter how good things get from the outside, there is a still a place of darkness in our minds… the place where flowers never grow,” says DePoyster. “The hours spent away from the stage and the bright lights can be a lonely place. The lyrics are a reckoning with how you can receive everything you thought you wanted, but you still have to reckon with the intrusive thoughts of emptiness and old wounds that you’re trying to find a way to heal. My hope is that anyone who hears the song feels seen, that they’re not alone in the darkest corners of their mind, and that we’re all trying to find a way forward.”

The Devil Wears Prada have also shared a short film That Same Place Where The Flowers Never Grow.

Watch the short film That Same Place Where The Flowers Never Grow here:
“Flowers is 20 years into a journey,” DePoyster explains. “The highs, the lows, a reckoning with what it means be a human catapulting through the chaos that life throws at us continually. This is us at our peak, in songwriting, in raw and authentic lyricism and introspection, and a desperate attempt to connect with anyone else who feels the same way that we do.”

The new album marks the start of an incredibly epic cycle and phase for the band. The global touring scheduling finds The Devil Wears Prada playing some of the biggest shows of their career. They just wrapped the Summer of Loud tour, which packed amphitheaters through the summer. Additionally, the single For You is the band’s first-ever track to chart on both the Mediabase and Billboard Active Rock charts. TDWP are continuing to hit new milestones two decades into their career, proving their vitality as a career band.

TDWP have a slew of upcoming tour dates on deck, including dates in Australia with Bullet For My Valentine this October; headline shows in South Africa; and a trek across Europe with Ice Nine Kills and Creeper. The band will also appear at Warped Tour in Orlando on November 15-16, and will also embark on the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise in January, as well.

Bloc Party

John Cain Arena

3/8/2025

It was a surprisingly warm winters night in Melbourne and you could feel the anticipation that was buzzing from the crowd as people lined up waiting to go into John Cain Arena

Once inside ,everyone was eager to get to their seats or if you were fortunate enough to be standing, making their way to the front of the stage in hope of catching a glimpse of Bloc Party. Before that could happen, Young the Giant took the stage and warmed the crowd up.

Arena falling into total darkness, crowd cheering, Bloc Party takes the stage, opening with “So here we are”, “She’s hearing Voices” and “Mercury”.

Frontman Kele Okereke exclaimed at his joy performing in Melbourne – saying he wasn’t sure when they (the band) will be back, but they will be back again.

Playing through Silent Alarm and all their greatest hits, the crowd went wild, gazing out upon the sea of people, I noticed something that I haven’t seen for a long time, the crowd were there for the music and to be in the moment, when “Song for Clay(Disappear Here)” rang out – no one in the pit was on their phone, the white glow on peoples faces wasn’t to be seen, just pure joy and excitement was up in the air, a rare site in todays extreme hustle society where everyone lives on their phones. Maybe it’s the slightly older crowd who turned up or maybe, just maybe, Bloc Party pulled the crowd into the moment blasting everyone with their sound, a night to be remembered.

Blazing through their set list they played other hits like “Banquet”, “Traps”, The Prayer” and “Like Eating Glass” – ending their set with a 5 song Encore saving their best for last, sending of the night with “Signs”,” The Pioneers”, “Helicopter”, This Modern Love” and rocking the house down with “Ratchet”. Couldn’t have had a better send off for a night out.

SPANDAU BALLET
Announce Definitive Early Years Box Set
Everything Is Now – Vol 1: 1978-1982

6 CD, Blu-ray, 2LP Box Set Out September 12

Release coincides with ‘Blitz: The Club That Shaped The 80s’ a major exhibition at
London’s Design Museum from September 20

Artwork by original band graphic designer and Blitz Kid Graham Smith

Spandau Ballet, one of the most influential bands in British music, will release their definitive early years collection, “Everything Is Now – Vol 1: 1978-1982” – a comprehensive 9-disc box set featuring their groundbreaking first two albums alongside a wealth of previously unavailable material. It includes a beautiful 44 page book with original photos from fellow Blitz Kid Graham Smith and new commentary from the whole band.

Released September 12th on Parlophone, this meticulously curated collection captures the band’s origins and meteoric rise from Blitz Club favourites to chart-topping innovators. The set includes their seminal albums “Journeys To Glory” (1981) and “Diamond” (1982) on vinyl, plus six CDs of singles, remixes, BBC sessions, demos, and a Blu-ray of Dolby Atmos mixes, videos
and rare live footage.

The collection showcases the band’s evolution through their formative and revolutionary period, from the electronic-infused new wave of early singles like “To Cut A Long Story Short” and “The Freeze” to the funk-influenced sophistication of “Chant No. 1″ and “Instinction. ” They were simply the most cutting edge, futuristic band in the world, at the centre of a creative scene that
defined the 1980s.

This release also coincides with London’s Design Museum, who open their exhibition
Blitz: The Club That Shaped The 80sfrom September 20. It explores the ‘Blitz Kids’ who pioneered new music, fashion, film, design and more from the tiny Soho nightclub The Blitz, all to a soundtrack provided by a nascent Spandau Ballet (the only artist to ever play the club). The band’s friend and fellow club goer, Robert Elms, had suggested the new name and they made their debut as Spandau Ballet at The Blitz on December 5th 1979. They were offered a record contract mid set by Chris Blackwell, owner of Island Records and the performance pushed the band “through the looking glass” and onto an accelerated ride through the 1980s and into pop culture history and global superstardom.

The band began to export their music around the world in a series of ground breaking club culture events, including making their first New York appearance in 1981, taking key Blitz Kids with them and staging a concert and fashion show, paving the way for Britain’s second musical invasion of America. Video of this whole performance is included in the box set. On another
legendary night, they played new superclub KU in Ibiza, who released a bull on the night to mark the occasion amongst the 3000 fans, and were pivotal in alerting the UK to the burgeoning Ibiza dance scene.

This boxset charts those origins, from the band building a scene of the coolest fans on the planet in hometown London, through a record label bidding war, an iconic just pre-fame performance aboard HMS Belfast and into worldwide success that went on to almost perfectly span and define the 1980s.

Eyes –  Gentry Demo

‘Eyes’ was recorded at Halligan’s rehearsal studio while the band were still called Gentry. It was at the studio that they were given the name ‘Spandau Ballet’ by future broadcaster and journalist Robert Elms. The song can be heard on the ‘Demos’ disc of the ‘Everything Is Now’ box set, which showcases the band’s evolution from 1978 to 1982. ‘Eyes’ was performed on the night which truly launched Spandau Ballet – 5th December 1979 at the legendary Blitz club’s Christmas party.

Steven Wilson Stereo Mix of “The Freeze
spandauballet.lnk.to/TheFreezeStevenWilsonRMX
the band’s second single after the hit of “To Cut A Long Story Short” . Both tracks reflected the European electronic music that the band heard at The Blitz, making full use of the Yamaha CS-10 synthesizer they had acquired on hire purchase. The mix features on the Blu-Ray Stereo and Instrumental remixesby acclaimed musician and go-to Dolby Atmos mixer, Steven Wilson.

Pre Orders for thins incredible box set are available now

The Blu-ray component includes Dolby Atmos and stereo remixes by acclaimed producer Steven Wilson, alongside original music videos, BBC TV appearances and the complete 56-minute concert from New York’s Underground Club in 1981.

News: Windwaker share bold new single “Victory Lap” off the back of Good Things Festival announcement

SHARE ATTITUDE-DRENCHED NEW SINGLE “VICTORY LAP”

PLAYING GOOD THINGS FESTIVAL 2025
TOURING NORTH AMERICA W/ THE PLOT IN YOU & NORTHLANE SEPT/OCT

Aussie genre-bending up ‘n comers Windwaker post a major “W” on the leaderboard with their new single Victory Lap”, out today via Civilians & Fearless Records. The release also follows last week’s announcement that they’ll play Good Things Festival this December.

Their first track back since their sophomore record, HYPERVIOLENCE, dropped last July, “Victory Lap” boasts a confident swagger with a healthy dose of attitude. The new single offers up grooves for days and listeners are treated to a storm of glitchy guitars, bloodthirsty screams and boisterous beats – but it’s not all fists and fury. Those hooky choruses and the hip-hop-inspired vocal cadence will have you nodding your head involuntarily. It’s a thrilling collision of sounds and styles and of genres and generations. “Victory Lap is a rejection of the naysayers, the gatekeepers and anyone who’s ever tried to box us in,”tells the band. “It’s a reclamation of power and a celebration of self-worth”.

Produced by drummer and in-house engineer Chris Lalic and mastered by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Stand Atlantic, Bad Omens), the track arrives with a blockbuster music video. Vocalist Liam Guinane spits lines mid-flight while hanging out the side of a helicopter, all while a SWAT team gives chase on the ground below. Amid the escalating chaos, Windwaker soundtrack their own mania while masked figures surge into frame, forming a menacing posse that rallies behind the band. Watch the video here, directed by Colin Jeffs of Ten of Swords Media.

Windwaker will take “Victory Lap” to North America this September and October, joining The Plot In You and Northlane for 20 shows, before returning home for Good Things Festival in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this December. Tickets on sale now via Oztix.

Since forming in 2017, Liam Guinane [vocals], Justin Keurntjes [guitar], Indey Salvestro [bass], Chris Lalic [drums], and Connor Robins [synths/samples] have built one of Australia’s most dedicated heavy music followings.

Their sophomore album, HYPERVIOLENCE, has racked up over 20 million Spotify streams and debuted at #12 on the ARIA Top 20 Australian Artists Physical Albums chart. HYPERVIOLENCE was taken on a near-sold out national tour in February and was swiftly followed by a mammoth North American tour supporting Make Them Suffer through to April, seeing Windwaker win over thousands of new fans and cement their status as one of modern metal’s most exciting new forces.

Their latest single, “Victory Lap”, is available and streaming everywhere now via Civilians & Fearless Records.

News: MONDO FREAKS ANNOUNCE ALBUM LAUNCH AND RELEASE NEW SINGLE “TURN THIS LOVE AROUND”

MONDO FREAKS ANNOUNCE ALBUM LAUNCH

AND RELEASE NEW SINGLE “TURN THIS LOVE AROUND”

Mondo Freaks pick up the pace, both in terms of tempo and in the rate of releasing new Funk with the sparkling “Turn This Love Around”. Coming hot on the heels of “Won’t You Decide” and their Bells Are Ringing EP, more and more listeners are starting to realise that this Melbourne 10 piece might be one of the best new Funk acts anywhere, let alone from the hotbed of Soul that is their hometown of Melbourne.

The band are also excited to announce the hometown album launch at Howler, Brunswick on Friday December 12th. Special guests are masters of vintage Afro Disco and Psychedelic Boogie, Wrong Way Up and helping turn the night well and truly into a party, Northside DJs will be playing through the night.

Jade MacRae once again truly shines on lead vocals on the track, which is yet another reason to get excited by their debut self-titled album, scheduled for October 17th on the band’s own Every Star Records. While Mondos are based in Melbourne, Jade spends most of her time in the US due to her high demand as a backing and session vocalist. And that made writing the song a truly international affair.

“Along with Bells Are Ringing, Turn This Love Around pretty much came together in one night if you count the international date line,” recalls bassist and co-founder Luke Hodgson. “A full instrumental arrangement recorded in Melbourne by Graeme and I then sent to Jade over in Oregon to demo her ideas in real time. A true synergy in concept and musical ideas for this one too. Some songs simply write themselves. A cosmic gift!”

The release will be accompanied by another instalment of their Live at The Quadraphonic Club series of videos that have gradually been finding and keeping new fans who are astounded by the playing and performance by this stellar group of musicians. This particular clip is double the value as it seamlessly segues into the band’s first single from this year, the 12/8 wonder that is “Bells Are Ringing”.

Apart from MacRae, bassist Luke Hodgson and drummer Graeme Pogson (GLThe Bamboos) the other players in Mondos really shine in these videos: Susie GobleFrancisco Tavares on vocals, Aaron Mendoza on keys and vocals, James Bowers on synth, Javier Fredes on percussion and Danny Dharumasena along with Gillan Gregory on guitar. The band have their sound down so tight that they were requested to back Boogie and Disco legends Leroy Burgess (Black Ivory, Logg, Aleem, Inner Life, and Universal Robot Band) and the iconic Evelyn “Champagne” King on their Australian tours

As with all previous singles, the track was mixed by Grammy winner Michael Brauer, who made his name mixing countless Rn’B classics from the likes of Change, BB&Q Band, Was (Not Was), Gwen Guthrie, Grace Jones, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Pleasure, Cheryl Lynn, Cerrone, Jones Girls, Kid Creole, Teddy Pendegrass, Morris Day and many more.

Coming off two red-hot #1 rock tracks Holy Water” (feat Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch) and “Suffocate City (feat. Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills)” THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT have released the “Dark Thoughts” single from their smash GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY album. Described by frontman Lee Jennings as “a finger snapping anthemic banger,” the mental health-themed song also appears on the newly released four-track DARK THOUGHTS EP along with a version of the song featuring vocals by Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, a new remix of the song, and a live performance of it from the band’s hometown of Atlanta alongside the original version.

2. Dark Thoughts, original version
3. Dark Thoughts (feat. Danny Worsnop)
4. Dark Thoughts (Live From Suffocate City), recorded in Atlanta, GA at The Masquerade on Nov 17, 2024

“We wanted to put together something special and different that we haven’t done for the Coffin Crew [the band’s devoted following],” explains singer Lee Jennings. “The other cool thing about this EP is that we are including the live version that we recorded at our first-ever town hall meeting in Atlanta. This marked our first sold-out show in our hometown.”

About the song itself, Jennings explains that “‘Dark Thoughts’ is a fun and energetic song meant to highlight our own mental health struggles. I wrote it about being diagnosed with OCD, I’m glad that more people can relate. This song is one of my personal favorites on the album. It’s deeply rooted in feeling trapped in your own head, like you have no one to reach out to who would understand or have an answer. It’s a statement both about the band and our fans. Depression, anxiety, and mental health crisis events are a ubiquitous experience for us, and the people who connect with our art. It can be such a terrifying and daunting task to try to overcome, but we hope that by connecting with others, we can support each other as a community in times when things seem the most bleak.”

News: Tour Announcement | Better Lovers Australian Debut Headline Tour With Split Chain + Blind Girls

BETTER LOVERS
AUSTRALIAN DEBUT HEADLINE TOUR
WITH SPLIT CHAIN + BLIND GIRLS
Australia, the wait is over: prepare to witness the beautiful chaos that is BETTER LOVERS next year, with the iconic hardcore group, consisting of Greg Puciato (vocals), Jordan Buckley (guitar), Will Putney (guitar, producer), Steve Micciche (bass) and Clayton “Goose” Holyoak (drums), primed to make their Aussie live debut in January 2026, joined by special guests SPLIT CHAIN and BLIND GIRLS.

Kicking off on Friday 23 January in Brisbane, BETTER LOVERS will roar through Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Belgrave, concluding on Friday 30 January in Adelaide.

With the amalgamation of some of the scene’s most prolific musicians rallying together over a shared vision of creative fearlessness and relentless energy, BETTER LOVERS were always bound to be something magic and memorable; but with each new release the group, bringing together members of Every Time I Die, formerly The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Fit For An Autopsy, have organically and collectively evolved into something that borders on otherworldly.

In 2023, BETTER LOVERS bared their creative fangs, releasing their acclaimed debut EP God Made Me An Animal, before shifting into a whole new stratosphere via their 2024 debut full-length Highly Irresponsible. A cutting-edge, bold and creatively fearless masterpiece, Highly Irresponsible spans gritty guitars and explosive melodies (A White Horse Covered In Blood) through to the group’s take on an epic power ballad (At All Time) and moments of maniacal metalcore, balanced with searing emotional dynamics (Love As An Act Of Rebellion).

With millions of streams under the belts in a short space of time and an ever-growing worldwide fanbase, BETTER LOVERS have most recently been tearing up stages across the globe as headliners, as well as onstage at the likes of Aftershock, Furnace Fest, and Graspop. And in 2026 the living legends will make their hotly-anticipated Australian debut in what is guaranteed to be a tour for the heavy history books.

Also set to make their Australian debut in 2026, Britishgenre chameleons SPLIT CHAIN will be bringing their exciting mix of shoegaze, post hardcore and nu metal down under. Forming in 2023, SPLIT CHAIN erupted into view via their debut single Get Inside, signed with Epitaph Records in 2024, and unveiled their debut album motionblur last month. The self-described “dreamo” group are renowned for their visceral and immersive live sets, and have previously performed with A Day To Remember, Counterpart, Bob Vylan Silverstein and many more.

Gold Coast DIY screamo heroes BLIND GIRLS have been fortifying their trademark blend of dark chaos and cathartic hardcore since forming back in 2013. Channeling hardcore, screamo and everything in between into their magnetic creative output, BLIND GIRLS most recently unleashed their third studio album An Exit Exists in 2024, garnering praise for their razor-sharp delivery, intensity and raw talent. Whether performing with La Dispute, Touchè Amorè and Militarie Gun, or taking crowds by storm around the world, this is emotional heavy music done entirely right.

It’s not hyperbole – it would be Highly Irresponsible to miss the first ever BETTER LOVERS tour on Australian soil in 2026, don’t miss your chance to kick off 2026 with a bang, BETTER LOVERS-style!

News: COPPERLINE RETURN WITH REFLECTIVE NEW SINGLE ‘SLEEPWALKING’

Copperline return with their first new music since the award-winning 2022 single ‘Lucinda’, which drew a wave of new fans to the country rock outfit. Now, the 4-piece offer a first glimpse of their forthcoming third studio album with the release of Sleepwalking’.

The gritty mid-tempo track is built on big guitars, sharp hooks and introspective storytelling – a sound the band has built from the ground up with long-time producer Shane Nicholson (Alex Lloyd, Tori Forsyth, Amber Lawrence). Working with the band since 2018, the multiple ARIA and Golden Guitar winner has an innate ability interpret their sound.

“We’ve formed a great creative partnership with Shane, working together across three records. We love the way he takes the time to understand and capture the things that make us unique as a band. And the way he finds the human touches in the performance of a song that make it unique and real.”

Lyrically, the song wrestles with the push-and-pull of drifting through life, half-awake, until the realisation hits that something has to change. “I wrote this song as a kind of wake-up call to myself,” shares frontman Brad Christmas. “I felt like I was going through life on autopilot, sleepwalking through my days in a cloud of my own thoughts. The song was a reminder to get out of my own head once in a while and smell the roses.”

The single follows the success of ‘Lucinda’ – a haunting ballad from their 2022 sophomore album Borrowed, Broken and Blue. Written for Christmas’ late daughter, the track climbed to #6 Most Downloaded and #3 Most Streamed single on the Play MPE charts, won Ballad of the Yearat the 2023 Australian Songwriters Association Awards, and has since notched over 182,000streams on Spotify.

Since their 2018 debut Rusty Fords and Weatherboards, Copperline have steadily built a reputation as one of Australia’s most distinctive country rock bands, earning radio play nationwide, stepping onto festival stages including Toyota Park at Tamworth Country Music Festival, and sharing lineups with the likes of Andrew Swiftand Bill Chambers.

With 5 x Australian Songwriters Associationnominations – including the 2023 win for ‘Lucinda’ – and 3 x Tamworth Songwriters Association nods, Copperline have firmly established themselves as one of the country’s most respected songwriting outfits.

Frontman Brad Christmas has also played sideman to a slew of music royalty, performing with Boney M, Steve Kilbey (The Church), Mark Williams (Dragon), and Steve Balbi(Noiseworks). He and drummer Gareth Richardsare also part of indie-rock collective The Gin Palace, who have performed alongside the Charlatans, Inspiral Carpets and TISM.

With ‘Sleepwalking’, Copperline lean into the grit, urgency and humanity that defines their sound, proving that they’re ones to watch. If you haven’t heard Copperline yet, it’s time to wake up and listen.

Big Time Rush became an overnight sensation in 2009 from the launch of the Nickelodeon television series Big Time Rush. The show was a huge success and catapulted the group into real-life stardom, as they went on to release 3 studio albums and performed across the globe, including five tours from 2011 to 2014. In June 2020, the band held a surprise virtual reunion to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their smash hit “Worldwide,” resulting in mass hysteria amongst their fans and in the media. In March 2021, all four seasons of Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush were added to Netflix and the band went viral once again, increasing fan demand for an official reunion. Soon after, the band announced they would come together for two special live shows in New York and Chicago, both of which sold-out in a matter of minutes, blowing expectations out of the water and proving the power of the band’s devoted fandom.

Since reuniting, Big Time Rush has completed three back-to-back sold-out tours, selling out venues across the globe, including New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden. Their first new album in over 10 years, Another Life, was released in 2023 to praise from critics and fans alike.

ABOUT BIG TIME RUSH:

Big Time Rush became an overnight sensation in November 2009 when the scripted TV show of the same name launched on Nickelodeon. The show focused on the Hollywood adventures of four hockey players from Minnesota after they were selected to form a boy band. The show became a huge success and later, Carlos, Kendall, James, and Logan came to life as a band off the screen releasing three full length albums and performing across the globe. As the show concluded in July 2013 and after four years of recording music and touring as a band, they went their separate ways but remained close friends through the years.

After 7 years, in an effort to bring joy to their fans during quarantine around the world, the members of Big Time Rush decided to appear together as a group to send a message of love and togetherness. This was soon followed by a socially distant performance of an acoustic version of their smash hit, “Worldwide”. These appearances resulted in hysteria amongst their fans and in the media, followed by BTR receiving 10+ million streams in 2020 alone. Four seasons of the TV show were added to Netflix in March 2021 and have appeared in the Netflix “Top 10” trending titles.

The band finished off 2021 with a performance at iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Philadelphia as well as 2 sold out shows in Chicago and NYC, capping it off with the release of their first single in 8 years, “Call It Like I See It”.

The power group kicked off 2022 stronger than ever with the launch of their wildly successful, sold-out Forever Tour, as well as all new music, including hit singles “Honey,” “Fall,” and “Not Giving You Up.” The Forever Tour included numerous sell outs including shows in Chicago, at New York City’s legendary Madison Square Garden and on all dates on their Mexico Tour. The tour concluded in early 2023 in South America with shows in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile.

Another Life, which was released in June of 2023, was the band’s first new studio album release in ten years and was followed up by a special deluxe version in November. The band’s 2023 Can’t Get Enough Tour sold out amphitheater and arena shows – selling out venues across the US including Los Angeles’s KIA Forum and New York’s Jones Beach on the 39-city run. Across 2022 and 2023 the band’s reunion resulted in over 600,000 tickets sold.

2024 was another incredible year for Big Time Rush, including several sold-out international tours in the UK, Europe, Asia & Australia. The band ended the year with their sold-out holiday extravaganza – Big Time Rush On Ice – bringing their fans together for a first of its kind skating and concert spectacle on ice.
