EVA UNDER FIRE
Release Music Video For Blow
featuring Ice Nine Kills’ Spencer Charnas
Featuring Major Scenes from upcoming Horror-Thriller Film THE RETALIATORS

Fresh off the release of their new uptempo, aggressively catchy new rock single Blow last week, Eva Under Fire and collaborator Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills just dropped the official music video for the track.

The visual, directed by Samuel Gonzalez Jr., pays homage to the horror movie genre, specifically the upcoming feature THE RETALIATORS (coming soon via Better Noise Films, of which Gonzalez also co-directs), and includes exclusive new footage from the film. Fans also get a sneak peek of the band’s frontwoman and lead singer Eva Marie’s appearance in a pivotal scene in the film, where she makes her onscreen acting debut.

he song will also appear on the high-octane, all-star official soundtrack for THE RETALIATORS. It rounds out a track listing of an already epic line-up, including music from Mötley Crüe, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, Escape The Fate, Bad Wolves, Cory Marks, The HU, and more.

The track was well-received by fans and media upon release last week, and was immediately added to Loudwire’s “Weekly Wire” Spotify Playlist. Eva Under Fire are currently finishing their debut album with Better Noise Music, to be released soon.

News: Lorde adds second & final Melbourne & Sydney shows to her ‘Solar Power’ tour

LORDE

ADDS SECOND & FINAL MELBOURNE & SYDNEY SHOWS
TO HER SOLAR POWER TOUR DUE TO UNPRECEDENTED DEMAND

  • Last week, Lorde announced she will return to Australia-New Zealand for the first time since 2017 with her anticipated Solar Power Tour
  • Today, second and final shows have been added in Melbourne and Sydney, due to overwhelming demand from fans during the pre-sale period
  • Tickets for all shows will go on sale to the general public on Monday 5 July
Last week, global powerhouse Lorde announced her return to Australia and New Zealand in 2022 to incredible fanfare from music lovers around the country.

Today, the artist adds two new shows to her anticipated Solar Power Tour in February and March, to satisfy overwhelming demand from fans during the pre-sale period, which has now concluded. Lorde will now play back-to-back dates at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March, before heading to Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 March, bringing her tally of Australian dates to six with stops in Brisbane and Perth.

Tickets for all shows will be available to the general public at 12 noon (local) on Monday 5 July.

For the first time in five years, Lorde will visit venues across her native New Zealand before touching down in Australia to deliver some of her biggest shows to date, as part of her global Solar Power World Tour. Taking in cities across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, Lorde’s Solar Power dates sold out completely within minutes of going on sale to the general public earlier this week, after adding multiple dates due to fan demand.

Lorde will tour in support of her new ‘Solar Power’ single, which debuted earlier this month to fan and critical acclaim, and forthcoming album of the same name – out August 20 via Universal Music.

Penned with long-time collaborator and producer Jack Antonoff, ‘Solar Power’ is a refreshing dip back to organics, providing a new inspirational anthem for the Summer. Billboard said, “Solar Power’ is a fresh chapter in a riveting book, and Lorde fans should be thrilled to meet this new author”, while The Guardian called the song “… a distinct reinvention, one that gleefully puts a gap between Lorde and everyone else in terms of her creativity”.
Since its debut, the track has trended No.1 worldwide, accruing more than 60 million YouTube views, and topped Spotify’s Global and US Song Debut.
Of her third studio record, Lorde says, “The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalising the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors. In times of heartache, grief, deep love or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learnt to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through.”
Known for her captivating on-stage presence and enthralling vocals, Lorde doesn’t just put on a show, she delivers a sensory experience. Tickets will move fast when they open to the general public on Monday, so make sure you get in quickly to secure your seats at what’s certain to be a highlight of 2022!

News: David Guetta Teams Up With MistaJam & John Newman On Latest Track ‘If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)’ | Out Now

David Guetta is one of the world’s most recognised DJ & producers, Multiple-Grammy Award winning and one of the most celebrated artists in the world. With further accolades to his name such as being in the Top #10 most streamed artists on Spotify of all time, Voted 2020 #1 DJ by DJ Mag and Best Electronic Act at MTV European Music Awards, he has over recent months reaffirmed his position at the very top of his game. He recently raised over $1.6 million through his United At Home livestreams for Covid related charities including UNICEF and the World Health Organization.

Guetta directly follows on from his recent smash release with Joel Corry and Raye ‘BED’, as well as ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ with Galantis and Little Mix and he now looks toward his next instant summer classic alongside MistaJam and John Newman. ‘If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)’. This is primed to take over as this year’s summer anthem, with feelgood piano tones intertwined with John Newman’s smooth vocals, the trio inject an infectious and euphoria driven sound, to breathe new life into the Whitney Houston classic.

The release is co-produced by one of the UK’s leading and most prominent music tastemakers – MistaJam. A broadcaster and DJ who was at the forefront of breaking new records in the UK on BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra with his ‘Dance Anthems’ show, more recently he’s made the switch to Capital Radio where continues to push forward the next generation of artists across Capital and Capital Dance.

“The first Whitney Houston album that the original ‘How Will I Know’ appeared on was always playing in my house growing up. I’ve still got the vinyl! So, it was really cool to flip that meaning of that song into ‘If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)’ – from something about the start of a relationship to something about the end of one. As an artist I’ve admired for years, it was amazing to finally get to work with David Guetta, especially alongside John Newman who I’ve had the pleasure of supporting since the start of his career.MistaJam

In addition, John Newman completes the trio. One of the UK’s best recognised voices and bona fide pop royalty after registering an incredible three #1 UK singles with ‘Love Me again’ and collaborations with Calvin Harris and Rudimental, in addition to as amassing over 1 Billion streams combined and selling millions of records worldwide. The Brit nominated artist is famed worldwide for his unique voice that blends the sounds of pop, R&B and Soul and positions himself perfectly to take on the iconic Whitney Houston lyrics.

“I’ve had the idea to remake this classic Whitney tune for so long as it’s a song that’s so special to me and my wife. It felt so natural to bring a new story and emotion of my own to the already incredible song and brought this new version of the song to life. When the opportunity came to do this song with David Guetta, someone who I’ve always wanted to work with – it was complete a no brainer for me.”John Newman

With imminent support across the nation’s airwaves and an official video in the pipeline, this release will be at the top of summer playlists for this year and beyond.

‘If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)’ Is Available Now Via Warner/Parlophone.

News: ngels & Airwaves Announce New Album From Space! Lifeforms To Be Released On September 24. 🚀New Song “Restless Souls” Out Now

Angels & Airwaves have officially announced their highly anticipated sixth studio album, LIFEFORMS, will be released on September 24.

They have also announced a world tour, beginning on September 29 of this year that will extend into 2022. Both of these announcements were first made from space, when the band partnered with Sent Into Space to launch a renewable hydrogen capsule which played an out of this world premiere of the entire album along with displaying the tour and album information!

This celebration extends to the release of the band’s second track from the forthcoming record entitled “Restless Souls” which is written from the perspective of God as a letter to humanity regarding life’s trials and the necessity for humans to demonstrate resiliency.

“’Restless Souls’ in many ways is a honest letter from God to humanity – because life seems to always be looking for ways to inspire, clarify and teach us when things become more difficult,” said frontman Tom DeLonge. Of LIFEFORMS, he said: “This album for me is a journey through different relationships, different points of view, and how we each have our own life path.”

Angels & Airwaves is comprised of Tom DeLonge (lead vocals, guitar/synths), Ilan Rubin (drums/guitar/backing vocals/synths), David Kennedy (guitar) and Matt Rubano (bass) – released the first single and video from LIFEFORMS, “Euphoria,” on May 19. NME called the track “explosive” while Rolling Stone said the visuals told a “story about a passionate and ultimately deadly liaison between a femme fatale and a Man in Black.”

DeLonge, a founding member of Blink-182, formed Angels & Airwaves in 2005. The band has released five full-length albums and charted numerous hits, including “The Adventure,” “The War,” “Everything’s Magic” and “Rebel Girl.” The Dream Walker, released in 2014, hit No. 1 on iTunes and No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. A multimedia project, the album was accompanied by a graphic novel, comic books and the short film Poet Anderson, co-directed by DeLonge, which won Best Animated Short Film at the Toronto International Short Film Festival.

In addition to his work with AVA, DeLonge created To The Stars, a multimedia entertainment company that creates original content across music, film, television and publishing. DeLonge served as executive producer of The History Channel series “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation” and will make his feature film directorial debut with the forthcoming Monsters of California.

The Restless Souls tour will begin on September 29 in Riverside, CA and will move throughout the United States before spending the month of March in Europe and the UK. Tickets will be on sale on Friday, June 18 at 10 AM local time at this link HERE. The Los Angeles and New York shows went on sale last month while it was also announced that the band would be playing Lollapalooza on Saturday, July 31. This newly announced tour is their last since their sold-out 2019 fall tour, which was their return to the live arena after a seven year hiatus.

News: DZ Deathrays Release New Track/Video ‘Golden Retriever’ + Announce Sep/Oct Album Tour + Album Out Fri 9 July

DZ DEATHRAYS
RELEASE NEW TRACK/VIDEO
‘GOLDEN RETRIEVER’
+ ANNOUNCE SEP/OCT ALBUM TOUR
+ ALBUM OUT FRI 9 JULY

I OH YOU are excited to share DZ Deathrays’ new track ‘Golden Retriever’, along with announcing dates for their Positive Rising: Part 2 album tour this September/October.

The final track to drop ahead of the release of Positive Rising: Part 2 on Friday 9 July, ‘Golden Retriever’ is a nugget of hard rock gold with surprisingly sensitive undertones. ‘I’m such a dreamer / Golden Retriever / hopeless and needy / I really gotta work this out.’

‘Golden Retriever’ comes with the gorgeous video directed by Joe Agius (Hatchie/The Creases), featuring none other than the golden canines themselves.

“This film clip was definitely one of the most fun shoots we’ve done thanks to all the dogs who were there. I’m really going to miss having 6 super happy golden retrievers running around out the back of film clip shoots.” – Simon Ridley

Shane, Simon and Lachy are stoked to be taking Positive Rising: Part 2 on tour, with shows locked in for Perth, Margaret River, Hobart, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Canberra, Newcastle and Wollongong (+ more to be announced soon!) Supporting DZ at all shows is Brisbane rapper/singer/producer Nerve, who gained nationwide attention through hit singles ‘Where You Been’ featuring Sydney’s ChillinIt and ‘Sunday Roast’ featuring Tweed Heads rapper JK-47, which have collectively amassed close to 4 million streams on Spotify alone. DZ can’t wait to see the live energy Nerve brings to their already notoriously fiery shows.

‘Golden Retriever’ joins previous hits ‘Make Yourself Mad’, ‘Fear The Anchor (feat. Ecca Vandal)’, ‘All Or Nothing’ and ‘Fired Up’ from Positive Rising: Part 2. All tracks have been met with acclaim from fans and industry alike with adds to local and international rock playlisting on Spotify and Apple Music plus coverage from the likes of DIY Mag (UK), Upset Mag (UK), The Line Of Best Fit, Far Out Mag, Deadpress, Stereoboard, Blunt Mag, Rolling Stone AU, NME and triple j. ‘Fear The Anchor (feat. Ecca Vandal)’ was added to Amazing Radio (UK) and recently hit #16 on New Zealand’s national Rock Radio chart. ‘Fired Up’ and ‘All Or Nothing’ were added to rotation at triple j, both making it to the top 10 most played song on the station.

Grab your tickets to the Positive Rising: Part 2 album tour now via dzdeathrays.com/ and watch this space for more tour news from DZ Deathrays.

My Dream Rider: Austen

From humble beginnings in a Brisbane bedroom, Austen’s unique brand of hooky and emotive indie-pop has gone on to hit airwaves and stages around the country, introducing her as one of the most promising rising voices of her kind. With her mononymous persona serving as a bold alter ego to the self-described introvert, Austen draws inspiration from synth pop, electronica, psychedelia, art pop and indie, and has been praised for her distinctive sound on new single, North South East West.

My Dream Rider: Austen

  1. Adrienne, from Yoga With Adrienne. She kept me sane and healthy during lockdown and has the perfect mix of motivation and relaxation for that pre-show energy.
  2. Cheese platter. One thing I missed during the gig-drought of Covid is the cheese and fruit platter of the green room. All of the on-stage energy comes from the camembert.
  3. Teppanyaki chef, who throws food towards me as I get ready. I’ll be doing my makeup and turn my head slightly to get a little piece of egg catapulted into my mouth on demand. Yum.
  4. Sensory deprivation chamber/float tank. I’ve done a floatation tank session only once before, and it was wild: time seemed to warp until it felt like I’d been in there for 24 hours, after what was in reality about 30 minutes. I came out with a very different and more relaxed outlook on life, which is exactly what I need pre-show.
  5. Home cinema projector – to watch David Attenborough docos in HD.
  6. Exotic animal petting zoo, because I want to hug a monkey.
  7. IV vitamin drip. Sometimes after a few shows and a week of being sleep deprived I really crave some *health* pumped straight into my bloodstream. I’ve never actually done this, but I feel like it would make me a better performer, and justify the fact that I survive on eating only the green room cheese platters mentioned in number 2.
  8. Someone to pat me and tell me I’m doing a good job. I’d like this just in life, generally, but especially when the pre-gig nerves kick in.
  9. A fire for that nice smoke smell of camping. I would accept some sage or palo santo to burn and waft around the space, but ideally, a fire pit in the middle of the room – with proper ventilation, obvs – would be the perfect way to make me feel grounded and cozy. (Whoever is patting me and telling me I’m doing a good job would be allowed a quick break to tell campfire stories.)
  10. Mark Ronson spinning vinyls in the corner. I just feel like he’d be able to nail the vibe, you know?

(BONUS)

11.               Benji, from Yoga With Adrienne. My kindred spirit.

Austen’s new single, North South East West, out now!

News: NGAIIRE Releases Visuals for ‘Closer’ Single

NGAIIRE Releases Visuals For ‘Closer’ Single

via Majestic Casual

Following the announcement that NGAIIRE has joined the Majestic Casual roster, the Sydney-based future soul darling releases the visuals for the recent single ‘Closer’, taken from her upcoming third album ‘3’ which is due for release on Friday, 27th August.

The whole story concept revolves around two lovers (Sela and her real life partner Mark Turner) who are a part of a cult who must abstain from any kind of affection, lust, love, sex to uphold age old beliefs. Their cover is blown and they are punished. The cult represents uniformity, culture, religion, ideology with the angular choreography further meant to reflect the militant and sometimes absurd ways in which we choose to move as groups of people.

The lovers represent the yearning to live outside of the boxes but unable to because of the perimeters that are there. I am merely a story teller within the story which Adam opted to have me dropped in a bit later as to not be the entire focal point of the story which I think works well especially since I had initially toyed with the idea of not being in it at all. I also serve to represent a choice  made to be loud and proud against the backdrop of what society wants to dictate to me what I should act like – which is not a multi-faceted black woman.NGAIIRE

Having built a musical identity that effortlessly crosses genre and art form, her renowned vocals, tight beats and big pop sounds have seen NGAIIRE acquire countless accolades including four National Live Music Awards, an FBi Radio SMAC Award for best live act, Australian Music Prize and AIR Award nominations for her 2016 release Blastoma and the inaugural Australian Women in Music Award for Artistic Excellence. Not to mention gracing the stages of Glastonbury through to Splendour In The Grass, and touring alongside artists from Sufjan Stevens to Flume to Alicia Keys and John Legend.

NGAIIRE ‘Closer’ is available now via Majestic Casual.

Strawberry Fields have a long association with Tocumwal and for them to bring Good Times event for a 2-year period shows the commitment to our area.

We look forward to the Good Times Festival and stimulating further economic activity within the Shire,” Cr Matthew Hannan said.Good Times has been made possible thanks to the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund – an Australian Government initiative.
